Natasya had come up with such a despicable and ridiculous idea. Valeria was pissed off and sprung up upon hearing Natasya’s proposal.
William reached out to get ahold of Valeria. He held her in his arms and kissed her on the forehead as a way of comforting her.
Natasya was trying to use the tactic that previously worked on Hardy that publicly admitted his relationship with Talitha.
William was the one who deserved the credit upon framing Hardy instead of the Anderson family. How did Devon and Raelyn have the ability to keep Hardy under control?
William’s gaze was frosty but his voice was gentle and tender, “That’s a good idea. I’ll discuss it with my dad first.”
Natasya was secretly delighted that William had gladly accepted her suggestion. However, she knew that the idea would soon turn to dust should Hayden interfere in it.
Hayden hated her so much that he had previously made arrangements for the servants to teach her a lesson. How would he agree to such a decision?
She immediately halted him, “William, I don’t think there is a need to discuss it with your father. All you have to do is merely making a statement.”
“You’re right, but he has been the one who is in charge of this and he will go mad if I were to make a decision myself. He’s old and has a bad temper. I was cursed to death by him when I went to visit you last time. I have no say as I am experiencing amnesia now and he is keeping a close eye on me. How annoying!”
William was not fully honest but Natasya thought that he was speaking the truth.
William had no memory and the company would not be taken over by him for the time being. Hayden must have been guarding him strictly to avoid any contact with her as Hayden profoundly despised her family.
Natasya was feeling uncomfortable and said, “William, I mean you no harm. Your dad must have misunderstood me as I have always been loyal to you.”
“I know that and I have told him the exact same thing. I would have been long gone if it weren’t for you, but he was not convinced by it.”
William glanced at Valeria who was fuming in his arms. He then reached out and caressed her head with a mischievous smile on his face. “By the way, my dad came over to deliver a piece of news about you a few days ago. What is with your nickname of shitty beauty?”
Natasya was taken aback by William’s inquiry. She wanted to escape so badly when William had questioned her embarrassing moment. However, she had no choice but to provide an explanation to him.
She coughed awkwardly and explained, “Erm… well… the media is spurting nonsense.”
“What? Why didn’t you sue them if they have reported a piece of fake news about you?” William continued, “Reputation is the most important matter for a woman. How could you stay silent when you have been condemned by the media?”
“No, we have taken action but unfortunately could not get ahold of the source,” Natasya explained.
“Why? How is that possible when your dad is such an influential man? Why didn’t he have the capability to save you from this mess? My dad was genuinely pissed at the news and said that a person with such a shameful reputation does not even stand a chance to become our servant, let alone to be with me.” Natasya’s face was as pale as a ghost upon hearing William’s words.
“William, that’s not true as someone is trying to frame me. You have to believe me, okay?”
“It is of no use if my dad does not think the same way as I do,” William intended to bring up Talitha’s scandal.
“Your sister is also a trouble-maker for making into the hot topic of doing indecent acts with Hardy. Why is your family in such a mess? My father said that uncultured and ill-mannered person deserved to be frown upon.”
William was behaving sarcastic and pushed all the blame onto Hayden.
Natasya was absolutely ashamed upon hearing William’s words. She had no choice but to suppress her emotion to achieve her objective.
She was afraid that William would go on to relay Hayden’s discontentment towards her. Hence, she decided to switch the topic and focus on her objective.
“William, someone is trying to ruin my family’s reputation and there is nothing that we can do about it. I am at fault to get myself in trouble and I have learned my lesson. However, I am now very worried about you. Why don’t you listen and follow my plan instead? You would then be able to get yourself out of trouble.”
“I’ll discuss it with my dad first as I am not capable enough to make a statement myself.”
“How about I publish the statement on behalf of you?” Natasya offered a better idea.
“Are you sure?” William narrowed his eyes with a scornful face and said, “You can do so, but aren’t you afraid that my dad refuses it and makes a big fuss out of it? You would then be in an awkward position.”
“Erm…” Natasya could not bear the consequence and had no choice but to continue her persuasion, “William, you shall go through it with your father. Isn’t this the best solution for the time being? Admitting our relationship would put an end to this news and your dad would not need to spend more time and energy to deal with it.”
“Alright, I’ll talk to him.”
William hung up the phone and looked at Valeria who was in his arms with an enraged face. He grinned ingratiatingly and said, “Honey, please bear with me for a little longer. Everything has a beginning and an end, right?”
“I’m so mad! She actually wants you to make a statement to admit your relationship with her. How absurd is that!” Valeria chuckled maliciously and said, “It seems that I’m too easy on her! I would like to get my hands dirty on that b*tch who is targeting my man!”
“Honey, please calm down. Take it easy!” William offered a glass of juice by Valeria’s mouth, “Have some juice.”
“I have no appetite as I am pissed off!” Valeria glared at William and snapped, “I feel like paying Natasya a visit and beat the hell out of her!”
“Alright, alright. You don’t have to do it yourself as it would be a disgrace to you. How about this? Isn’t Devon trembling in fear now? I shall deal with him now to ease your anger, okay?”
“Okay! That sounds delightful!” Valeria was joyful and continued, “Get it done as soon as possible!”
“Your wish is my command, milady!”
William chuckled and picked up his phone to read the news. It was still trending on the internet despite several hours had passed since the report broke out.
The heated discussion was still ongoing and William took a look at the comments.
The top ten comments were claiming that he was indeed the murderer. They also analyzed his motives and demanded a thorough investigation of him to seek justice for the victim.
The comments also stated that he had turned a blind eye to the law and order of the country. Speculations of bribery had arisen should he not receive any interrogation and walk away as a free man.
The hot comments were reposted by a few million users on the internet. Was it possible that Hardy had spent more than a few hundred million on this?
William’s gaze turned as cold as ice. Did Hardy spend a fortune on keyboard warriors just to put him behind bars?
