In the hotel room, Talitha stood on the balcony and stared blankly at the scenery. She thought that Hardy would publicly admit their relationship after the scandal had gone wild.
However, to her surprise, Hardy became popular on the internet while she became a target.
Talitha’s social media was full of harsh comments and the public even dug out her private account.
She had been cyberbullied by stating that she was a shameless woman as she did such an incident thing in public.
They even commented on the leaked footage saying that she was the one who made the first move on Hardy and was desperate.
Talitha was furious by the comments, but there was nothing she could do about it.
Raelyn and Devon had given her an earful ever since the scandal between Hardy and her broke out. They warned her to lay low and not to set foot outside of the hotel.
Talitha initially tried to call Hardy to test the waters of his attitude, but she couldn’t get through him. She then realized that she was the only one who took this relationship seriously.
Hardy wouldn’t have been so cold towards her if he liked her. Talitha was extremely depressed when she concluded that Hardy was not interested in her at all.
What should she do if Hardy decided to leave after getting what he wanted from her?
Raelyn and Devon had sternly decided not to confront things with Hardy. Gavin also did not intend to do her this favor, hence she could only rely on herself.
She knew she had little power without her family backing her up. Was she willing to let everything go and watch her efforts go in vain?
Talitha called her best friend to complain about it. However, her friend had also run out of ideas, “You will have a glimmer of hope if your parents are willing to back you up. However, things don’t look well seeing that even your grandfather is choosing to turn a blind eye towards this matter!”
“Is there really no hope at all?” Talitha was not ready to give up yet.
“Well, there is one, though. You may be able to turn things around If you’re pregnant.”
This was not a new idea at all. She was well aware that things would go her way if she was really pregnant.
Her friend then advised her, “You can pretend to be pregnant, right? You can lie and say that you’re expecting to keep Hardy by your side and have a miscarriage after you have gotten what you what. He can’t do anything about it then.”
“What?” Talitha’s eyes lit up as this was a good suggestion. Didn’t Savannah lie to her uncle and grandfather by pretending to be pregnant?
How about pretending to be pregnant and deceive Hardy then? Would the quick-witted Hardy be easily fooled?
Savannah was able to deceive Archer in the first place as Gavin, Raelyn, and Hayden were all helping her. She was also at an advantageous point at that time as Archer was in the midst of a cold war with Natalie.
However, she was all alone and there was no one to help her out. Hardy was a much more vicious person than Archer, her uncle, based on how cold-hearted Hardy was in framing William.
If she were to tell Hardy about the pregnancy without giving much thought to it, Hardy would definitely take her to the hospital and run some tests. Her secret would then be discovered.
Hence, a fake pregnancy was not feasible, but a genuine pregnancy would make things work out.
How could she get pregnant easily? Talitha was increasingly irritated as she thought about it. It had been quite some time since she and Hardy had spent their first night together. Could there be a miracle?
She had to do a pregnancy test for confirmation. If she was pregnant, her plan would fall into place smoothly. However, she would have to think of another way if she wasn’t.
Talitha disguised herself and went to the pharmacy to buy a pregnancy kit. However, it turned out that she was not pregnant.
Talitha was extremely disappointed. What idea would be able to let Hardy stay by her side?
In the early hours of the morning, Silas brought Gonzalec and marched out of the airport. Bobby had already been waiting for them and got off the car as soon as he saw Silas.
“Thank you for your effort!”
“Don’t worry about it!” Silas glanced at Bobby with a bright smile. “Bro, what shall we do with Gonzalec?”
“Send him back to the original place,” Bobby replied.
Gonzalec heard their conversation clearly. Was he going back to the detention center again? He was definitely not willing to go back and shouted, “No! You promised to let me go after I did things accordingly. You can’t go back on your word!”
“Why are you making a fuss?” Bobby glanced at him and continued, “You need to head back to officially get out from there. Aren’t you afraid that your so-called cousin will chop your head off after knowing that you have betrayed her?”
Gonzalec was finally convinced and remained silent. Bobby then informed the bodyguards to send Gonzalec back, while Silas hopped into Bobby’s car.
“Is Sir doing fine?”
“Yes, he is just waiting for your antidote! You did a good job!” Bobby praised Silas while driving.
“Did Gonzalec cause you any trouble?”
“Well, that punk is timid and gets intimidated easily. It’s easy to deal with him,” Silas grinned.
“Is it true that his grandfather is really skillful?” Bobby then asked.
“Yes. That old man has all kinds of poison in his house. However, it looks like he is having a tough life as all his family members have distanced themselves from him.”
“Are you pitying him?” Bobby laughed.
“No, I just feel sad for him. It’s better to die than to live such a meaningless life.”
Silas let out a sigh as he thought about Gonzalec’s grandfather.
“Life is full of suffering. One will always reap what he sows!” Bobby also sighed.
They chatted along the way as they headed back to the hospital. Valeria had woken up and the nurse was measuring her blood pressure, while William was by her side.
Bobby and Silas did not enter the ward, but stood by the door and waited instead.
The nurse left after taking Valeria’s blood pressure and both of them then entered the ward. Valeria stood up excitedly as she saw them, “Where’s the antidote? Get it out and let my husband have it.”
William smiled lovingly and asked, “Why are you in such a hurry?”
“Of course! Won’t you be in a hurry if you are in my shoes?”
“Didn’t you say yesterday that it doesn’t matter if I can regain my memory or not? Are you lying to me?”
“That was yesterday and today is a new day. Don’t you know that women always change their minds?” Valeria replied confidently.
Bobby and Silas laughed at Valeria’s words. Silas then took out a box from his pocket and took out a black pill. Valeria frowned as the smell was bizarre, “Is this really the antidote? Is it poisonous?”
“No, it’s not. I believe in Silas,” William said with a smile.
“I believe in Silas as well, but I’m doubtful about Gonzalec’s grandfather. If he plays a trick…” Valeria hesitated before she continued, “Honey, do you want to send this stuff for testing and only consume it after ensuring that it’s safe?”
“What if the medicine loses its effectiveness if I send it over?” William said sternly, “There is only one antidote. There will be a slim chance for me to regain my memory if the potency diminishes.”
“Isn’t there a formula? Have it checked out first and we can always make it again as our last resort,” Valeria glanced at the antidote and was anxious about it.
“There are a few ingredients in the formula that are not easy to get ahold of. Besides, this formula will also be useless if there is something wrong with the antidote,” Silas interrupted politely.
“What shall we do then? Are you going to consume it?” Valeria looked at William.
“I’ll listen to my wife. I’ll only eat it if you ask me to do so,” William threw the question back to Valeria.
She was in a dilemma. Should he have it or not?
