After they had breakfast in the early morning, Archer brought along Raymond to visit William and Valeria in the hospital.
Archer brought along food and flowers as usual. He then cheerfully greeted them as he entered the ward, “William, Val, I’m here to see you again!”
“Mr. Saunders, please have a seat here!” William invited Archer with a smile and glanced at Raymond. He did not dare to look at William as he lowered his head and seemed uncomfortable.
Based on Bobby’s information, William knew that the accident had something to do with Raymond. He was clearly feeling guilty judging from his reaction. However, William decided not to confront him as he believe that a smart man like Raymond would never repeat his mistake when he knew that he was at fault.
He smiled and patted Raymond on the shoulder, “Have a seat!”
Raymond felt increasingly awkward as he glanced at William’s cheerful smile. William had always forgiven him when he screwed things up because he was his nephew.
However, things were different now due to their current identities. He was now William’s brother-in-law and so he shouldn’t make things difficult for him anymore.
Raymond said in a hoarse voice, “I’m so sorry! It’s all my fault!”
“It’s fine, let bygones be bygones. You shall learn your lesson and not repeat your mistake in the future!” William waved his hand towards Raymond.
Archer also nodded with a smile and said, “I have told him the same thing as well. However, Raymond has been feeling guilty and insisted on apologizing to you in person. I then brought him here as it was a doable idea since your accident has something to do with him.”
“Do you have any other business to talk about today?” William asked as he sensed that Archer had another intention, apart from bringing Raymond here to apologize.
“Yes, Natasya has woken up and is recovering well. Raelyn went home last night and told my dad that Natasya’s appetite is improving.”
“Really? That’s great to hear,” William replied with a smile.
Archer was concerned and said, “William, the reason she drugged you is that she wants to gain control of you. I’m now worried if there are any side effects from the medication.”
“I’m feeling fine, apart from losing a year’s worth of memory and a headache,” William replied.
“Natasya and Raelyn will surely not stop here. Raelyn went home last night and tried to get your number from my father but he didn’t have it. Then, she went to look for Raymond but ended up in disappointment. I feel that something fishy is going on seeing how she is so desperate to get your phone number.”
William then smiled and said, “Really? Well then, give it to her a few days later.”
“What? Are you sure?” Archer asked in surprise.
“Yes, I’m sure,” William looked at Raymond and said, “They have been perceiving you as their savior, hence you shall put on an act. Try to get some dirt when you give them my number to see what is on their mind. I’ll then be able to plan things accordingly.”
“But I fear that they intend to control you…”
William interrupted Archer with a smile, “Don’t worry, the best is yet to come. Just pretend to be on their team for now. If everything goes well, I think we’ll have an answer in two days.”
Archer guessed that William had a plan in mind, so he did not continue the conversation. Archer then mentioned Hardy, “By the way, I saw Hardy’s men at the hospital entrance when I came over with Raymond just now.”
“Really? Is he here to spy on us or to cause trouble?” William frowned.
“That fella had his reputation ruined yesterday and is holding a grudge against you. I think he wants to seek revenge on you, right?” Archer guessed.
“He is having a death wish!” William looked sly.
“I don’t think so as he won’t be so foolish to get his hands dirty. I suspect he’s thinking of another plan.”
Raymond, who had remained silent, finally chipped in, “I took a peek at his car just now and realized that there’s a loudspeaker in it.”
“What? Are you sure?” Archer asked in surprise.
Raymond replied with certainty, “Yes, it is placed in the passenger seat and it’s relatively big in size. I was shocked at that time.”
Valeria’s face became serious and said, “What? He must be planning on something. Isn’t he an item with Talitha? Did Talitha reveal something to him?”
William’s face then turned gloomy and said, “I know what he is going to do!”
“Me too!” Valeria also came to her senses.
A phone call from Marcus then came in, “Mr. Howard, Hardy had his men all over Wolf Group, your mansion, and the hospital. I don’t know what they’re up to.”
“He knows my weakness and intends to use it against me,” William’s face was sullen and he continued, “Get rid of all his men once and for all.”
As soon as he was done giving orders, Bobby, who was standing at the door, walked away promptly. William then continued as he watched Bobby leave, “No need to make arrangements in the hospital as Bobby can take care of things here.”
It was the first time that Archer saw William became furious. He then asked William, “How many of Hardy’s men are here? Will Bobby be okay on his own?”
“It’s alright. We shall just sit back and wait for the news.”
Bobby strode out of the elevator and headed down to the parking lot. Hardy had arranged his men to wait in the car.
They all knew Bobby and were alert as soon as they saw him walking towards them, “It seems that William is here. Let’s get ready and use the loudspeaker later to test the water.”
Before he finished his words, Bobby had opened the car door. He then grabbed the man and started to give him a hellish beating.
The other three men sprung out of the car to help but were unfortunately faced with the same fate. Bobby was full of anger and did not show any mercy towards them. The men were seen lying on the ground and screamed in agony in less than five minutes of Bobby’s beating.
He brushed his hands and returned to the ward. Hardy’s men who lingered around Wolf Group’s Hotel and Howard’s family estate, had all suffered the same fate.
Hardy was pissed off when he received the call, “This is bullshit! William has gone overboard!”
Bevan then reminded him, “Mr. Anthony, our men had failed to complete the task. It means that William has figured it out. Your plan is not doable.”
“What? Who says that? Although he got rid of my men and knows our plan, it also means that he is really afraid of hearing Valeria’s name.”
Hardy caught a breather before he continued, “I don’t believe that he is indestructible. I will break him into pieces! He can’t hide in his safe spot forever! If he dares to set his feet out, I’ll still stand a chance against him!”
