Chapter 634 Is He A Devil?

Silas boarded the plane with several bodyguards to keep an eye on Gonzalec as they made their way to Kenoland. The plane landed at Kenoland at eight in the morning. They then got into the car and headed straight to the deep mountains.
The condition of the road was getting worse as they made their way deep into the mountains. Fortunately, their vehicle was a four-wheel-drive that was in excellent condition, otherwise, they could not have continued their journey.
Gonzalec was well-behaved after being warned by Silas last night. He remained silent throughout the journey from the airplane to the mountains, as he was afraid that Silas would teach him a lesson.
The road condition had worsened and was increasingly bumpy. Silas leaned back on the car seat and closed his eyes to rest. He remained calm despite the bumpy and rocky road.
Gonzalec had been watching him carefully. Suddenly, a big rock rolled down from the mountain and almost hit the car. The bodyguard who was driving the car was shocked and let out a curse.
Gonzalec sneered as he thought that these bodyguards would not be able to get used to the rocky conditions after spending their whole life in the city. This was just the beginning, and the worst was yet to come.
The driver then asked him, “How long to go?”
“A hundred kilometers, I suppose?” Gonzalec replied.
“What? Do you mean that we are nearly there?”
“Not really. We still have about eight to nine hours of journey,” Gonzalec grinned as he continued, “This is not a highway. How can we possibly reach our destination within an hour?”
“What? What on earth is this place? Why will anyone live here when the city is so much developed? I can’t even see a single soul here!” the bodyguard muttered to himself.
Gonzalec remained silent but his eyes were brewing with slyness.
How could he not take this place seriously? The mountain was blessed with treasures everywhere. They had their say in the city, however, the tables had turned as this was Gonzalec’s home ground.
They would have a hard time living here as the insects here were poisonous. They would be given a taste of hell, especially Silas, who laid a finger on Gonzalec. He glanced at Silas as he thought to himself about his revenge plan.
Silas, who had his eyes closed the entire time, finally opened them and looked at Gonzalec sarcastically, “Do you think that you’re the boss now? And you can do whatever you want?”
Wow! How did Silas know about his plot? Gonzalec immediately denied, “No, of course not.”
“You better be obedient or else you will suffer,” Silas told the bodyguard who was driving the car to stop and said, “I’ll drive instead.”
The car stopped and Silas offered a few pills that he had taken out from his pocket to the bodyguards. Silas ignored Gonzalec and proceeded to take the wheel.
They continued their journey and the four-wheel-drive roared through the mountains. Silas’s speed was much faster and he drove with a smile on his face. He seemed to be enjoying the drive despite the conditions of the mountain road.
It didn’t take long for Silas to reach the destination that was about a hundred kilometers.
He stopped the car and got off to stretch himself as well as the other bodyguards. Gonzalec was the only one with a face as pale as a ghost, and he was struggling as he held the car door for balance.
During the three hours of driving, he did not sit comfortably as the car was moving at the speed of lightning. He felt as if his entire body had fallen apart.
Silas stretched for a few minutes and held the door to look at Gonzalec, “Don’t you want to get out of the car?”
“Yes, I do! I’m coming out now!” Gonzalec got out of the car with a bitter face and hands on his waist.
He was alright when he lived in the mountains last time. However, he was not used to it anymore as he was accustomed to the city life that he had been living for a few decades.
Gonzalec led the way as Silas and the bodyguards followed him behind. His grandfather was a lone wolf and chose to live alone at the peak of the mountain. The only way to reach his home was to climb a stone ladder. As they reached the foot of the ladder, Gonzalec cleared his throat and said, “You need to be cautious as my grandfather has raised quite some things.”
“It’s okay, we’re not worried about it,” Silas seemed calm and glanced at the bodyguards,  “You guys shall wait here. I’ll go with him instead.”
Gonzalec hated Silas the most but was overjoyed when he heard Silas’s decision. Silas would have a taste of hell if they encountered the deadly animals later.
Gonzalec took the lead and Silas followed him closely. When they climbed up the stone ladder, a two-story wooden hut surrounded by bushes was being seen.
Silas took a good look at the wooden hut and sneered, “This place looks good.”
“Yes, my grandfather is used to living alone, so you have to be careful. He has raised many poisonous snakes and insects, and one will feel like hell when bitten by them.”
After Gonzalec pretended to remind him, he suddenly pointed towards the bushes and said, “Beware! A poisonous insect!”
Gonzalec thought that Silas would panic, but it was the total opposite. He stretched his foot out and squished the two centipedes into pieces.
Gonzalec widened his eyes and asked, “Aren’t you afraid?”
“I am!” said Silas as he stretched out his hand to grab a snake from the branch and put it on Gonzalec’s neck.
The icy-cold snake was twitching on Gonzalec’s neck. He then let out a scream, “Ah!”
Silas looked at him maliciously and said, “Why are you screaming? It’s already dead!”
Gonzalec then only realized that his body was covered in blood as it had already been killed by Silas. The reason why it twitched was that the snake was not completely dead.
Gonzalec got rid of the poisonous snake from his neck and threw it into the bushes. He looked at Silas with fear and wondered if Silas was a devil.
Silas looked at Gonzalec and grinned sarcastically, “When I was in oversea, I lived alone in the forest for two months. It was winter at that time, so there were no fruits available. Do you know what I had every day?”
“What did you eat?” Gonzalec asked subconsciously.
“I had centipedes, scorpions, as well as snakes that were hibernating in the cave,” Silas continued nonchalantly, “Do you think this mountain is deadly? Well, I don’t think so. If you don’t believe me, I’ll prove it to you soon!”
Gonzalec was humbled down and then took Silas to the wooden house obediently.
There was still a distance away from the wooden house as Gonzalec shouted, “Grandpa!”
As he raised his voice to call his grandfather, a big black dog suddenly came rushing out from the house.
The dog was aggressive but Silas had it under control. The dog was prepared to bite them, but it suddenly laid on the ground and didn’t move at all.
Gonzalec was scared out of his wits and said, “You killed it? It’s my grandfather’s favorite. This is bad!”
“Don’t worry, it’s fine. I just let it take a nap as it’s very noisy and annoying,” Silas replied casually.
Gonzalec breathed a sigh of relief when he heard that the dog was still alive. He then brought along Silas and pushed open the wooden door, “Grandpa, I am back!”
