Deborah knew what he meant and informed a servant to book the tickets. A few minutes later, the servant then replied, “The flight tickets have all been sold out and we can only wait for the next flight now.”
Natasya was anxious upon hearing this and said, “William, I have to go with you. I’m really worried about you! You have amnesia and you can’t remember anyone. What if something bad happens on your way home?”
William put on a distressed face and said, “Grandma, how about we swap one of grandpa’s men for Natasya?”
“No, that won’t do.” Deborah instantly knew that William was trying to let her be the bad guy.
She shook her head and refused, “Those men are assigned to protect you by your grandpa and we can’t afford to leave someone out. Will Miss Anderson be able to protect and ensure your safety? Do not make a scene now. Wait for the next flight instead!”
Deborah spoke in a stern voice and was not up for any negotiation, so Natasya had no choice but to return to her room while tearing up.
Natasya was drenched in sweat and was feeling extremely uncomfortable right now. However, she was more upset by the fact that she could not return home with William.
There was nothing that had gone her way ever since she started her plan and she was about to go bonkers just by thinking about it.
Why did she pretend to be sick if she had known that William was going back soon?
Natasya was feeling anxious as she sent a text message to Devon, “William is going back soon and I could not follow him because I pretended to be ill. What should we do now?”
“I’ll check out the flights for you. You can return home with him if we manage to book a ticket. However, you would have to wait for the next plane if there aren’t any seats left.”
“Dad, I’m worried that he’ll meet someone at the airport that would put us at a disadvantage! The Howard family would surely be overjoyed to see him return and they would bring him back home immediately upon his arrival. What if I lost contact with him?”
“Don’t worry! I’ll come up with something.” Devon then continued, “I’ll arrange for someone to book a ticket for you.”
As she heard this, Natasya was relieved as she was confident about Devon’s capability. Then, she stood up and headed for a shower as she was feeling uncomfortable due to the sweat.
Meanwhile, William was not busy with his luggage as he had nothing to bring back home. Besides, the things that he intended to take with him were already in his pocket.
He was in a good mood right now as he was excited about returning home. He held Deborah’s hand with a smile on his face and said, “Grandma, you have to take good care of yourself. I’ll come back to visit you real soon.”
“You too, please stay close to the bodyguards. Also, I hope that you will cut all ties with indecent women. I will call the bodyguards every day to keep track of you too.”
“Alright! I promise you that I will be good!”
Then, he proceeded to look for Fandrey after bidding goodbye to Deborah. Fandrey had a serious look on his face as he said, “I will keep things short. I hope that you remember the promise you made! Your fate is in your hands!”
“Of course, I’ll keep that in mind for sure!”
“You just have to think harder and wiser when facing difficulties and do not hesitate to contact me if you need any help. By the way, do remember to discuss things through with my men. Don’t worry, they are all experienced.”
“Okay! Grandpa, do take care of yourself!”
On the other hand, Angel got teary-eyed upon knowing that William was about to leave soon and protested, “No, I want to go with William. I’m worried about him!”
“Stop making a fuss about it. He’s going back to settle things! You’ll just be in his way.” Deborah scolded.
“I don’t care! I want to go with him and take good care of him!” As she said this, Angel picked up her bag and wanted to follow William but was halted by a servant.
Then, she burst into tears when she saw William get into the car with the bodyguards.
Soon, by the time Natasya hopped out of the shower, William had already left.
Regardless, the ticket that Devon had booked for Natasya was surprisingly the same flight as William’s. She knew that there was not much time left and quickly headed to the airport after bidding goodbye to both Deborah and Fandrey.
As soon as she boarded the plane, Natasya headed straight to the first-class cabin to give William a surprise. However, she was shocked as there was no sight of him but only a few blonde-haired foreigners.
Wasn’t William scheduled to fly at the same time as her? Where was he then?
Meanwhile, Hardy, who was in the country, received a message from his mobile phone that said, “William is back and is scheduled to arrive at midnight. This would be the best opportunity to strike now!”
He stared at the text message for a while before making a call, “Arrange people at the airport right now and wait for William to arrive.”
On the other hand, William was heading to the airport but the group made a detour and went to another one of the Floyd family’s manors. There, Sammuel and several bodyguards had been waiting and a private jet was ready to take off. Soon, William boarded the plane under the escort of Sammuel, Silas, and the team of bodyguards.
The plane roared and flew into the clouds while William was relaxing on the large sofa. He glanced at the city beneath that was getting smaller through the plane window and gently waved his hands as he said, “Goodbye, New York! I’ll be back soon!”
Sammuel, who was concerned that William was feeling bored, proposed, “Mr. Howard, are you comfortable enough? May I suggest you have a rest in the bedroom instead? I’ll notify you when we arrive later.”
“Sounds good!” William stood up and made his way into the bedroom but he suddenly recalled something as soon as he laid down and said, “Silas, can you come in here for a bit?”
Silas instantly got up and proceeded to head into the bedroom when he heard his order, “Mr. Howard, what can I help you with?”
“Is everything settled?”
“Yes!” Silas replied, “I’ve called Bobby and he has already arranged for several men at the airport to stand by. It would be interesting if they decided to make a move on us.”
“That’s good to hear!” William squinted his eyes and asked, “What about Natasya? Has she got on the plane?”
“Yes! She was in such a hurry as she thought that you were in the same flight as her,” Silas had a wry smile on his face and continued, “How anxious would she be when she could not find you on the plane!”
“That’s the point! She needed to board the plane in a hurry for us to enjoy the show,” He narrowed his eyes and continued, “She is digging her own grave by heading back home in such a hurry. Haha!”
“It might be possible that our enemy could get rid of her as they thought that she was with you.” Silas made a cutthroat gesture with a disgusted look on his face and continued, “The show would then be much interesting than we thought!”
“That would be the best outcome indeed. However, I doubt that Devon would just sit back and do nothing about it. He must be planning to make a scene at the airport. Let’s see how that goes!”
Then, William yawned and took out his phone to look at a picture of Valeria. He was so excited that he had trouble falling asleep despite feeling really tired.
He was finally going to meet his beautiful, lovely, and flawless Val soon!
William couldn’t wait to see her. What would be Val’s reaction when she saw him?
She must feel overjoyed, right? Would she hold him tightly? William thought to himself.
A gentle smile emerged on the corner of his mouth as he imagined how Val would run to him and how he would hold her in his arms.
