Valeria was at the hospital and she was heading towards the examination room for a routine checkup with the companion of her servant.
The doctor withdrew her blood and began the body checkup. She underwent a blood test, an ECG, a urine test, and finally an ultrasound test.
Valeria was lying on the obstetrics bed while the servant stood beside her and observed the ultrasound, which was initiated by the doctor.
The servant had no idea what was being displayed on the ultrasound screen and murmured, “Do you happen to know the gender of the baby? I hope that it will be a boy as Sir Hayden would be overjoyed to have a grandson!”
The doctor grinned and replied, “We won’t know about it yet as she is just pregnant for seven weeks. Besides, the baby would be just as good despite it being either a boy or a girl.”
“That’s true, but it’s better for the first child to be a son and the second child to be a daughter.”
The doctor did not continue the conversation as she knew that wealthy families had a different approach than ordinary families. She focused on her work and suddenly paused for a moment with a surprised look on her face, “Wow!”
“What’s wrong?” Both Valeria and the servant were taken aback by the doctor’s massive reaction.
“It seems… it seems to be a double amniotic sac. Could it be twins? Let me have a better look!”
“That’s wonderful!” The servant was delighted and asked, “Are you sure that it’s a twin?”
It would be a piece of reliable news as she was the best obstetrics and gynecology doctor in the hospital. She carefully examined and confirmed, “Yes! There is indeed a double amniotic sac!”
The servant howled in joy and immediately picked up her phone to call Hayden despite still being in the examination room.
Hayden was having an internal meeting at Howard Group and he was speaking when his phone suddenly rang. He glanced at his phone and realized it was from the servant. He then immediately connected the call and asked, “What’s the matter?”
“Sir Hayden, I have great news for you! A piece of very delightful news! Valeria… she’s pregnant with twins!”
“What?” Hayden had a surprised look on his face and asked again for further confirmation, “Are you sure?”
“Yes! The doctor said it’s a double amniotic sac!”
Hayden stood up and decided to leave the meeting, “I’m heading to the hospital!”
“Grandpa! What happened?” Andrew stared at Hayden with a confused look on his face.
“You shall be in charge of the meeting. I would be going to the hospital right now!” Hayden rushed out of the conference room and informed Lucas, “Get the car ready for me. We shall be making our way to the hospital right now!”
Lucas knew that something delightful has happened judging by the excited look on Hayden’s face and asked, “Sir Hayden, would you mind sharing the great news with me?”
“Of course! Valeria… No, Val is pregnant with twins! Hahaha, I will be blessed with two grandchildren real soon. Oh, this is such a delightful news! I have to head to the hospital to see it for myself.”
“Wow! This is indeed a great piece of news!” Lucas was also beaming with joy and continued, “Sir William would definitely be feeling on top of the world if he comes to know about it!”
“Yes indeed! The entire Howard family was in such a bad shape and God finally decided to bless us with waves of good news! I’m so happy just thinking about William would be coming back soon and Val is pregnant with twins!”
Hayden smiled cheerfully and said, “I have to pay Val a visit as she is the heroine of the Howard family. She should be rewarded handsomely as my token of appreciation.”
“Sir Hayden, what do you intend to give Valeria?” Lucas asked while following closely behind him.
“I have come up with a few options. The wine manor in France, the newly purchased yacht, the private plane, as well as the luxury villa at the capital. She is free to choose whatever she favors and I will also provide one billion into the childcare fund.”
Hayden was overjoyed and continued, “I will provide the same amount for every additional baby into the fund.”
It would make one go speechless upon seeing how generous Hayden was towards his daughter-in-law. Lucas pulled open the door and Hayden got into the car. He then suddenly remembered something and asked, “I have ordered some fruits for Valeria by air. Have they arrived yet?”
“Yes, it’s here.”
“Do make arrangements and have it sent to her at the hospital immediately. By the way, let’s stop by the flower shop to buy a bouquet before purchasing some desserts that she fancies.”
Lucas followed his instructions while Hayden gave Marcus a call with a delightful tone, “Do you have any idea when will William return?”
“Mr. Howard has left New York and he will be arriving by tomorrow midnight if everything goes as planned.”
“Lovely. That’s good to hear! I would like to share with you a piece of great news. Val is pregnant with twins!”
“That’s great! Mr. Howard, I’m sure that you are overjoyed upon knowing about it!” Marcus was feeling thrilled as well.
“Yes, you’re right. I’m sure that William would also be ecstatic upon hearing his wife being pregnant when he returns home!” Hayden suddenly thought of something and asked, “Will the Floyd family leak the news of his return? I’m worried that someone will make a move on him. Have you arranged for the necessary security measures?”
“Sir Hayden, don’t worry about it as the Floyd family is well prepared. Fandrey has arranged a private plane and Mr. Howard would not be landing at the airport. Besides, we have already plan ahead for the enemy who intends to lay a finger on him.”
“That is such a relief!” Hayden then hung up the phone and rushed to the hospital.
Valeria walked out of the examination room with the help of her servant. Bobby was standing outside the room and waited for them. The servant excitedly delivered the news to Bobby and he smiled upon hearing that Valeria was pregnant with twins.
“I shall offer to teach him martial arts!”
“Pfft! What are you talking about? It will be good for him to be as brilliant as Sir William. Playing rough is only for unrefined men like you.”
“Alright, alright! I shall take back my offer, okay?” Bobby apologized.
Valeria chuckled upon seeing Bobby brushed his head apologetically and she said, “I don’t see any problem with it. You can be his master and teach him martial arts if he is interested in it.”
“That won’t do! Bobby is such a strict man and he won’t be up for it. Besides, Sir Hayden would definitely oppose this idea even if both you and Sir William are fine with it.”
The servant had a good point as Hayden would definitely take a different approach from both Valeria and William.
Valeria pursed her lips and smiled. She could not resist and kept touching her belly. Being pregnant was already a surprise for her and she did not expect it to be twins. It would be perfect if it was a fraternal twin and William would definitely be very delighted about it.
She then thought of William who will be coming back the day after tomorrow. She wondered how ecstatic would he be when receiving the news of Valeria being pregnant with twins.
She wanted to tell William right away but suppressed herself as this was a birthday present for him. She could only deliver this piece of news to him on his birthday.
She then picked up her phone and sent a message to William, “Honey, what time would you arrive the day after tomorrow? I would like to pick you up!”
Valeria reckoned that William was resting as the message had not been replied to.
She put away her phone and heard footsteps that emerged from the corridor accompanied by Lucas’s voice, “Sir Hayden, watch your step! Please slow down!”
