No one expected Valeria to be legitimately pregnant, so this big news left everyone shocked.
Everyone sighed in relief. Valeria would not give up on herself since she had William’s child now, and Hayden would be able to regain his will to live because of William’s successor.
As they were amid the relief, the Saunders family was already busy preparing to help Valeria take care of her pregnancy. Andrew immediately ran back to Hayden to tell him the great news.
Hayden stared blankly at the ceiling. Ever since he woke up, he hadn’t spoken a single word and he ignored everyone who talked to him.
Andrew panted while he pushed the door open and said, “Grandpa! Aunt Valeria is pregnant!”
Hayden stayed still in bed as if he hadn’t heard anything. Andrew then grabbed his hand and said, “Grandpa, Aunt Valeria is pregnant! Uncle William has a child!”
Hayden didn’t show any reaction when he heard the name ‘Aunt Valeria’, however, his reaction to the name ‘Uncle William’ was different. He grabbed Andrew’s hand with his thin fingers and asked, “William has a child?”
“Yes, Aunt Valeria is pregnant! Her test results just came out. Grandpa, Uncle William has a son now! You have a grandson!”
“You’re lying…” A flash of hope flashed through his eyes.
“I’m not! Grandpa, Uncle William and Aunt Valeria got married a long time ago, but they didn’t tell you. Now that she is pregnant, you should help her and the child in her belly. Otherwise, what will they do in the future?”
Hayden sat up suddenly. Lucas stepped forward to support him and placed a cushion behind him. “Sir Hayden! This is extremely good news!”
“That’s right! Then I must get better! I must be become healthy to see William’s child born safely and see him grow up!” His words were like an oath, “I can’t break down, I can’t… for the sake of my son and my grandson. I have to stay strong!”
Hardy asked someone to disclose the news of William’s death to George and Philip and so that they would be a nuisance at the hospital.
He was overjoyed when he heard that Hayden was sent to the emergency room.
He proudly said to Bevan, “Look at George and Philip, those two idiots. They’re really useless. I doubt that they’re even Hayden’s sons as they don’t even understand such a simple fact. If something happens to Hayden, Andrew would never let them off.”
“That’s right, they sure are dumb,” Bevan shook his head as well.
“Now, we’re just waiting for Hayden’s news. If he can make it, he’ll definitely deal with the Saunders family. But if he dies, the glory of the Howard family will come to an end.”
Bevan couldn’t agree more with Hardy’s analysis, “You should arrange two men to stay in the hospital and report to you once there’s good news.”
Hardy nodded, “Okay! Do as you see fit!”
Bevan arranged for someone to standby at the hospital, and Hardy suddenly thought about Natasya. “Where’s Natasya now?”
“I don’t know! Speaking of which, she seemed to have disappeared. There was no news about her after we saw her guiding Raymond to set up the trap that day.” Bevan also found it strange.
“This isn’t normal. Isn’t she supposed to be here right now? Isn’t it weird to hide like this?”
His expression darkened. “Had she done something behind my back?”
“What can she do?” Bevan retorted.
“This woman is not simple. When I first brought up my plan, she had already thought of a solution. She was the main reason why we were able to successfully plot against William. I wouldn’t believe it if you said that she had no ulterior motives,” He frowned. “William’s body hasn’t been found yet?”
“Not yet and it’s strange, though. It has been so many days so why are there no new discoveries? His death will only be proven if we see his body. Was his body eaten by fish or something?”
Hardy frown after listening to him, and he thought for a moment. His expression changed again, “Maybe she took William away?”
“No way! How would she have that ability to do that?” Bevan wouldn’t believe it.
“It’s hard to say. The accident occurred in Ruthorham, which was under Devon’s jurisdiction, so it would be very convenient for her to do anything! Moreover, this woman had the meds with her!” Hardy suddenly realized a terrible problem. If his aim was like Natasya’s, where his goal was Valeria, and hers was William… then this situation would be troublesome.
He had been suppressed by Wolf Group for so long so he did not want to see William alive and appear in front of him again.
He immediately ordered Bevan, “Arrange someone to investigate Natasya right now. I want to know what she’s doing!”
Before Bevan could respond, Paisley came walking down the stairs. She seemed like a completely different person as compared to before.
Her eyes were sunken, and her face was sallow. Seeing Hardy and Bevan, she stopped and sneered, “You don’t need to look into it. I know where she is.”
“You do? How do you know?”
“Talitha called me and said that she went abroad. She said that Raelyn sent her to seduce somebody’s son.”
“Is this true?” He didn’t seem to believe it.
“Talitha wasn’t lying. She scolded Natasya badly for a long time while we were on the phone together because she felt that Raelyn doted on her more. Oh, so did Devon. It’s a terrible feeling to be neglected, so Talitha is now treating Natasya as an enemy.”
Upon hearing her words, Hardy sighed in relief. “Did Talitha tell you about what’s happening in the hospital?”
“She did!” Paisley sneered. “It seems that Valeria is going to die! The Saunders and Howard family have booked the whole first floor of the hospital. No one except the doctors and nurses knew the situation. Raelyn wanted to visit Valeria but was stopped by the bodyguards too.”
“Then how do you know that Valeria is going to die?”
“If William is dead, will she be able to survive?” She walked opposite him and sat down, “Even I look like I’m near death. How can Valeria be any better than me?”
Hardy was silent. After a while, he said to Bevan, “Go to the hospital and ask someone to inquire about the situation.”
Paisley sneered, “Don’t waste your energy. The doctors and nurses who are treating Valeria are all keeping their mouths shut. They won’t leak any information to you, and the Saunders have already issued a death order, so no one will be excused if the news is leaked. Who will continue to gossip with their lives on the line?”
Ignoring Hardy’s long face, Paisley laughed and said, “Bro, do you think you’ve succeeded in your plan? Well, I want to see one thing more than anyone else now. Do you know what it is?”
“What?” He asked.
“Well, what I want the most is to see William alive so that he can come back and kill you!”
