Chapter 573 Hostility Towards Insincerity

In the best hospital in New York, Fandrey walked past the quiet corridor and strode into the ward under the escort of several bodyguards in black.
When Natasya and the servants in the ward saw Fandrey, they immediately stood up and greeted him respectfully, “Good morning, Mr. Floyd!”
He nodded his head and went over to the bed to look at William who was still unconscious. “It has been a few days. Why hasn’t he woken up yet?”
Natasya forced a smile and said, “The doctor said that his situation is getting better. He woke up just now for a short while and passed out again soon after.”
“What’s the reason for it?” He frowned.
The doctor and nurse came in quickly and said to Fandrey, “He has blood clots in his brain due to the concussion. We have checked it, so as long as the blood clots disappear, he will recover.”
“How long will it take?” He asked.
“It’s hard to say. Maybe a week, maybe half a month…”
He frowned and interrupted the doctor. “If he wakes up, there won’t be any side effects, right?”
“No!” The doctor answered with certainty.
“That’s good!” He was very satisfied with the doctor’s answer. He had not told his wife that William was sent over with a helicopter for treatment because he was worried of any uncertainties. Since the doctor said that he was alright, he could tell her now.
He and his wife had not mentioned Matilda for so many years, so they naturally never mentioned William either.
It wasn’t that they didn’t want to see this grandson of theirs. It was because Hayden had never lowered his head in front of them. Hayden stole their precious daughter from them and did not have a trace of regret when she died. It was too infuriating for them.
They hated Hayden to the core. Now that they saw William in a coma, Fandrey’s heart ached badly.
How much had his own grandson suffered?
D*mn it, Hayden! He would deal with him in the future as an act of revenge for William!
Fandrey wiped William’s face with his own hands and used a cotton stick to moisten his lips. Natasya felt pressured after seeing how Frandrey stressed over William as she pretended to be his girlfriend to take care of him in the hospital.
She was very worried about William’s situation. Since she was not the first person he saw when he woke up, the so-called ‘blood alliance’ was meaningless.
Of course, the thing she was worried the most was whether the medicine would have any effect on him. If there was no effect, everything she had accomplished would be in vain.
She could neither sleep nor eat well as she couldn’t stop worrying, so she looked much thinner now. The servants praised her while Fandrey was around as they thought Natasya was sincerely worried about William.
Fandrey’s attitude towards Natasya was unclear. She had already been here for quite some time, but he had not invited her to visit the Floyd family.
Her attitude towards him was not affectionate either.
Natasya didn’t know what was going on. She was sure that the Floyd family had already known her identity, so were they looking down on her?
If they did not like her, then her plans would definitely be affected. Right now, her only hope was on William. She hoped that he would forget everything and only remember her.
But would William progress according to her plan? She was not sure because everything had changed from the initial plan.
She was extremely anxious, but she didn’t dare to express her anxiety.
Fandrey stayed in the ward for a while, then Angel came along too.
After returning to New York, Angel came to visit William every day. She was very unfriendly to Natasya every time they saw each other.
Normally, people would be furious if treated that way, but Natasya had a strong mentality so she just ignored Angel.
When Angel came in, she greeted Fandrey sweetly, but his attitude towards her was also very cold. However, she did not care. She went up to the bed and looked at William. “Why hasn’t he woken up? He woke up last time in his home country.”
Frandrey didn’t say anything, so Natasya replied instead, “The doctor said he will wake up. Don’t worry.”
“Of course I’m not. You’re the one who’s worried, right? When did you become my cousin’s girlfriend? I went to ask some of my friends yesterday, but they said that both of you had nothing to do with each other.”
“They are your friends, not my friends. How would they know about me?” She retorted.
“Anyway, something’s not right. My cousin is so handsome so why the hell would he fall in love with you? You are not a startlingly beautiful woman.”
A comment like that was equivalent to slapping her in the face, and Angel said it to her boldly. Natasya was boiling with anger, but she couldn’t show it at all.
Since she couldn’t quarrel with Angel, she could only compromise while hoping that Fandrey would speak up for her because she was well-behaved.
She glanced at him with a pitiful look, but he was expressionless as he hated insincere people the most.
If a person showed no resistance to insults like that, it would only show how passive her character was.
If Natasya openly quarreled with Angel, he might have thought highly of Natasya. However, her tolerance made him dislike her even more.
His granddaughter-in-law had to be someone who was brave and courageous. A person who tolerated insults thrown at them was just too pathetic.
Although the Saunders family was well-known, Devon was married into a rich family. It was no wonder that his daughter was so useless.
Fandrey looked at William who was lying in bed. When he saw his eyelid twitching a few times, a look of surprise flashed across his face, “He’s awake! He’s waking up!”
Everyone turned around and looked at William. His eyelids twitched a few more times, and then he opened his eyes.
Afterward, he looked at the people around him in confusion, including Fandrey, Natasya, Angel, the doctors, the nurses, and the servants.
He looked at every one of them thoroughly. It was very quiet in the ward as they stared at him without moving.
After looking at everyone, he slowly closed his eyes. Soon after, he opened his eyes again.
He remembered Frandrey, who was his grandfather. He had seen him on television and in magazines, but he had never interacted with him. Why was he here?
He also remembered Natasya, who was Raelyn’s daughter. She often came to hang out with Richard and Michael. It seemed that she was going after Richard. Why was she here?
There was a voice in his head telling him that she was the woman he loved the most.
He frowned. How would he like her? He had nothing to do with this woman at all!
