After Devon confirmed from Raelyn that William was indeed the president of the Wolf Group, he immediately called Lucian to inform her about William’s identity.
Then, he ordered Lucian to transfer Natalie out of the Juxemburg Hospital as soon as possible. Upon hearing the news, Lucian did not dare delay and executed his order right away.
Soon, the nanny who had been taking care of Natalie had started to pack her belongings, and when Natalie noticed that something was wrong, she asked to go to the bathroom and had secretly sent a message to William.
William replied almost immediately after she sent the message, asking Natalie to stall for time and to leave the rest to him. As William had told her, she left the ward under the escort of her nanny and bodyguards after stalling for half an hour.
Surrounded by them, she went straight to the parking lot, where a car was there waiting for their arrival.
Soon, the car left the parking lot without being stopped, and this made Natalie a little nervous. She wasn’t sure if this was actually William’s plan or he wasn’t able to make it in time.
However, she couldn’t take out her phone and keep in touch with William because the nanny and bodyguards were keeping a close eye on her. She could only sit in the car calmly and wait for William’s rescue.
When the car drove out of the hospital parking lot and went straight onto the highway, a speeding car came rushing out suddenly from the side. The driver made an emergency brake to avoid the car, which caused the car behind to slam onto them.
As the damage was made to the cars, the driver couldn’t leave even if he had wanted to. Therefore, he got out of the car and discussed with the driver that was involved who was at fault back there.
The bodyguards got off the car too and joined the discussion. They had even proposed to settle the issue privately to avoid further dispute.
However, the driver of the car behind them was greedy and asked for an exorbitant price. His demand made the bodyguards angry and both sides started to quarrel not long after that. There were three people in the car behind them, and all of them got off the car and started to hit the bodyguards without further negotiation.
One of the bodyguards was hit hard on his eye and blood covered his face instantly, while another got his arm broken. The driver was also screaming and rolling on the ground because his ribs were fractured.
Even so, the men didn’t intend to stop. They even opened the car door and pulled both Natalie and the nanny out of the car.
The nanny was kicked hard in the chest and she started to spit blood. Natalie, however, was not beaten, but her cap and mask were taken off rudely.
As the car light illuminated Natalie’s face, her facial features were clearly shown. At that moment, there was the sound of brakes screeching, and Archer jumped down from the car even before the car had stopped, “Natalie? Natalie!”
Archer rushed towards Natalie and held her in his arms tightly. The nanny, who was still lying on the ground, desperately sent a message to Lucian despite her injury. “Lucian! We had an accident at the hospital entrance and now Archer has found President Garcia. What should we do?!”
Lucian was anxiously waiting for news at home. She had thought that nothing could go wrong as long as she managed to send Natalie safely to the Ruthorham and handed her over to Devon. Therefore, when she received the nanny’s message, her face turned livid with anger as she knocked over the table.
“D*mn it!” She was very clear about what would happen to her if Archer had found Natalie.
Then, she immediately called Devon. “Archer suddenly appeared at the hospital and found her, and she has been taken away by Archer! What should we do now?!”
Devon was dumbfounded when he heard the news. After a while of collecting himself, he said, “I’ve told you to transfer Natalie earlier, but you didn’t listen to me. Now everything’s too late!”
“Don’t cry over spilt milk! If I’d known it earlier, I wouldn’t have let her stay in Juxemburg.” Lucian was very upset. “Now everything is in a mess! Do you have any idea how to settle this?”
“What else can we do? Everything is over the moment Archer found out about Natalie! Do you think you would be able to take Natalie away from Archer again? Stop dreaming! The only thing you can do right now is to think of something to explain everything to Archer.”
Devon was witty enough to remind Lucian what she had to do. “If Archer asks why you have been hiding the fact that Natalie is still alive, you can explain that it’s because Natalie was weak after her fake death and her days were numbered. You’d want to treat Natalie first and intended to tell him after she was cured. Anyway, you have not hurt Natalie, so obviously Archer can’t actually blame you.”
“How will they believe such a lie?” Lucian asked, “Archer is not an idiot, so is William! Will they believe my words? What’s more, it will be over if they suspect that I colluded with you.”
“I’ve never been in contact with you. So how would they know about it? Don’t overthink.” Devon retorted.
“Argh!” Lucian sighed over her ruined plans. “I just hope that Natalie doesn’t remember Archer and only remembers me, so that I can continue to approach her.”
“You should think of a way to deal with Archer first. Just do as I say. I’ll forge Natalie’s health examinations and send it to you. Come to me after you’ve handle it properly.”
Meanwhile, when William was informed that Archer had picked up Natalie, he took Valeria to the hospital immediately.
On the other hand, Gavin and Raymond were also on their way to the hospital. Archer had arranged a VIP ward for Natalie, and William and Valeria were the first to arrive there.
When Valeria opened the door and saw her alive and healthy mother, she was overjoyed. “Mom!” She shouted as she rushed over to hug Natalie.
“I miss you so much, my dear Valeria! My most precious daughter!” Natalie’s tears flowed out of her eyes uncontrollably.
“I miss you too, mom! I wanted so badly to see you, and my dreams have finally come true! We will never be separated again!”
“Yes, we will never be separated again!” Natalie nodded.
Archer’s eyes became red too when he saw Valeria and Natalie hugging each other and were crying with joy. He looked at William and said sincerely, “Thank you, William!”
“You’re welcome. Lucian must be on her way here with a set of lies. I bet she will say that Valeria’s mom was too ill and that her days were numbered, and she didn’t tell you the truth because she was afraid that it would hurt you. So what are you going to do now? Are you going to expose her or play dumb?”
Archer thought for a moment and asked, “How about doing both?”
William nodded. “Yes, that’s what I was thinking. The stage is all yours, then! By the way, Valeria’s mom will need to continue to pretend that she has lost her memories in front of outsiders.”
“Not only with outsiders, we can’t trust Raymond as well. That b*stard, he’s the culprit for what happened today!” Valeria said angrily.
“What do you mean? Why did Raymond do that?” Archer and Natalie were shocked.
“He must be out of his mind. With a little coaxing, he would tell anyone anything. I’m sure it’s him who revealed William’s identity!”
“Oh lord, why is he so silly?” Natalie sighed.
“It’s not necessarily a bad thing, though. We can make him the one to deliver the message when Talitha and Raelyn come to ask about the news. They must treat him as a fool now, so they will easily believe his words no matter what he says.” William said.
