Chapter 430 Clearly Understood

Seeing this message, Dixie was dumbfounded. Did they really get kidnapped?
Her first instinct was to call Savannah for help. Just as she picked up her phone, a second message came in.
“You’d better behave yourself. I hate people who disobey orders. If you dare to call the police or tell someone else about this, your grandson will die. By the way, your son is in my hands too.”
Dixie was stunned. Didn’t her daughter-in-law say she had just talked to her son not long ago? Was this person just trying to scare her or were they being serious?
As she thought about this, her phone chimed as she received a photo. It was a picture of her son, whose eyes were covered in a mask, and his mouth was tied up. As she saw this, her heart sank instantly. However, she had been with Savannah for many years, so she was used to situations like these. She calmed herself down and asked, “What do you want?”
“What I want depends on your attitude. How much do you think your grandson and son are worth? 50 million?”
“I don’t have that much money!”
“You can borrow from Mrs. Saunders, right? Go and discuss it with her and reply me after you’re done. By the way, remember my words. You can only talk about the money. If you dare reveal anything about the kidnapping, you won’t see your son and grandson ever again. I will keep my word.”
Dixie was both afraid and angry as the kidnapper had kidnapped her son and grandson so quickly, so they must be someone powerful. She was not powerful herself, so she had to either call the police or report this to Savannah.
She thought about the consequences if she told the police about it, so in the end, she had no choice but to tell Savannah.
She had always been loyal to Savannah and would do anything for her, so Savannah would probably return her favors.
As she thought about this, she rushed home. When Savannah saw her come back with presents, she was satisfied and praised her.
Dixie then immediately told Savannah about her son and grandson’s kidnapping. “The kidnapper asked me for fifty million as ransom! Oh, what should I do, Madam?”
Savannah paused for a moment before turning to look at her suspiciously. “Fifty million? Are you sure?”
“Look, this is the text message from the kidnappers asking for money.” She immediately showed the text to Savannah as she said this.
After reading the messages, she frowned and said, “They’re trying to take advantage of you. Just ignore them!”
“Madam, my son and grandson are in their hands, I can’t ignore it!”
“Call the police! Leave it to them!”
“I can’t! What if they hurt my son and grandson?”
“Then what do you want? Do you really want to give them the money? You’re crazy! Do you even have that much money?” Savannah asked.
“I… I was wondering if you could…”
“Are you stupid?” Savannah let out a cold laugh. A servant’s son and grandson were worth 50 million… What a joke!
If Dixie had nothing to do with Savannah, no one would even think about kidnapping her son and grandson.
Savannah did not believe that the kidnappers had really kidnapped them. After all, Dixie wasn’t someone important. So why did they kidnap her son and grandson for money?
Just then, Savannah thought about how she had been blackmailed by someone in the past. Could it be that Ashley was blackmailing her? And Dixie was somehow part of her plan?
If that was the case, then this was absolutely brutal! Ashley, that b*tch, was a good-for-nothing, and Dixie was even worse. All this might be something that they had planned together!
Savannah had always been vicious, and the reason why she kept Dixie by her side was that she was a very loyal servant. But now, she doubted that Dixie might be plotting against her, so she felt even more disgusted at this.
She had helped Dixie a lot when she had helped her with settling Paxton’s matters. Came to think of it, even though she was married into the Saunders family for a long time, she had nothing under her.
Archer has never given her any money, and the Saunders family’s shares had nothing to do with her. While relying on the dowry that Hayden had given her and the dividends of the Howard family, she also spent quite a lot of money to put on an act for the public.
The dowry Hayden had given her had almost been used up, so it wouldn’t be practical for her to withdraw fifty million from what was left to help Dixie.
The point was that she suspected that there was no kidnapping at all. All this might be something that was set up by Dixie and Ashley.
As she thought about this, Savannah was extremely annoyed. If Dixie was oblivious to what she did in the past, she would’ve disposed of her a long time ago.
Since Dixie was still useful to her, she would not expose her directly yet, but she still gave her an attitude. “I have something important to discuss with my father. We can solve everything when I come home at night.”
Dixie could only watch helplessly as Savannah drove away. She was extremely anxious, but she could only hope that Savannah would be able to help her when she returned home that night.
A few minutes after Savannah left, she unexpectedly received another picture from the kidnapper. “Since you had dared to disobey my orders, I have a surprise for you. Do take it well!”
It was a picture of a finger with a ring. As she immediately recognized that that was her son’s wedding ring, she screamed in horror.
Just then, her daughter-in-law called her and said, “Mom! Someone threw a finger into my house, and the ring on the finger looks really familiar. I’m so scared! It seems to be Rodney’s ring. It can’t be…”
Dixie’s hand trembled as she tried to hold the phone in her ear. Her son’s finger was gone!
Just because she had told Savannah about this? Who was the kidnapper? How did they know her every move?
Meanwhile, Savannah entered the Howard family’s mansion with gifts while Hayden looked at her coldly and said, “Didn’t I tell you not to come over?”
“Dad, I have something to discuss with you,” She didn’t care about his attitude and said as she sat down on the sofa. “Dad, you know that William and Valeria are still together, right?”
“So?” He replied nonchalantly.
“Gavin has brazenly approached Valeria, and it seems that he wants to take Valeria back into the Saunders family, but William and Valeria aren’t broken up yet. This is ridiculous! Does he not respect the Howard and Saunders family’s reputation?”
She continued, “This must be put to an end. If she wants to step foot into the Saunders family, then she must break up with William. Otherwise, it will bring shame upon us!”
As he heard this, Hayden let out a cold laugh. “What’s the point of telling me this? You should talk to Archer or Gavin instead.”
“I don’t have any other choice. Dad, did you go crazy like them? Do you want to lose your reputation? You can’t just watch William do stupid things like this and not do anything about it.”
She acted as if she cared about William, but Hayden just smiled coldly at this because he knew exactly what she was thinking.
She was trying to use him to persuade Valeria to not return to the Saunders family.
He had always thought that his only daughter was smart and generous, but now he realized that all her intelligence was used in doing evil deeds.
If she had honestly told him about her intentions, he might have considered it. But now, she had intended to use him to achieve her goals.
Hayden was extremely disgusted with her and said, “Just let them be. William is ignorant and incompetent, anyway. If Gavin and Archer are willing to give her half of the shares of the Saunders family as compensation, then wouldn’t it be a good thing for William to marry her?”
Savannah’s well-thought speech was immediately refuted by Hayden’s few words. She was furious and viciously reminded him, “Dad, Valeria is Natalie’s daughter. Do you want to see the daughter of the woman who caused William’s mother’s death married into our family?”
