Upon mentioning his deceased wife, Hayden finally showed signs of emotion. He was against William and Valeria being together not only because of their family complications but also because of Raymond and Savannah, as well as his wife’s death.
The problem with their family relations was acceptable since they were not related by blood after all. However, he could not tolerate what happened to his wife, so he would definitely not allow William to marry the daughter of his enemy.

Savannah thought that no one knew about her relationship with Raymond yet. He nodded his head and said, “Okay, then!”
She was overjoyed when he finally agreed. “Since you’ve agreed, can you make an appointment with Valeria? I’ll go talk to her when the time comes.”
His eyes flashed briefly when he heard this. “Why don’t you ask her yourself?”
“I’m going to talk to her on your behalf, so it’s better if you’re the one who asks her. After all, I have my own motives, and I don’t want the Saunders family to know that I interfered in this matter.”
“Oh, is that so? Don’t tell me you’re planning to make a move on her again?” He asked her with a fake smile.
“No, how could I?” She denied.
“It’s good that you don’t have that idea in mind! I’m warning you, you are not that smart, Valeria and the Saunders family are not fools either. They know about what you have been doing. Don’t drag others down with you if you’re going to mess things up.”
Her face turned a little pale as she heard this as his words clearly indicated that he knew what she had done.
The Saunders family had also suspected her, but they did not have any evidence, so it was only a wild guess. She forced a smile and said, “Didn’t they say that they had no evidence?”
“That’s right. They don’t have any evidence right now, but you can’t hide it forever.” He shook his head as he looked at Savannah. “You’re my daughter, after all. I don’t want to see you dig a deeper hole for yourself. It’s best if you give up on messing with Valeria.”
When she left the Howard family’s mansion, she received a short message. “Today is the last day, Mrs. Saunders. If I don’t receive the money today, I’m going to post everything I know on the internet. You know what the consequences are, right?”
She was furious when she saw the blackmail message, but there was nothing she could do. She still suspected Ashley to be the one behind this! When Ashley was eavesdropping on her conversation the other day, could it be that she had secretly recorded it?
If her conversation with Charles was recorded and published on the internet, she would be in big trouble.
She suppressed her anger and forwarded the text message to Charles. He replied almost instantly, “Agree to their request, but only give them half of the money!”
