Chapter 366 Like Mother Like Son

“Huh? What does this have to do with him?” Archer was stunned.
“Raymond? Why did she choose that name? Can’t you tell her intention?” Lucian asked.
“I don’t know what you’re thinking, President Saunders. Didn’t you say that you hated Savannah? So why did you choose a name for him that was the same as the child you were about to have with President Garcia? Don’t you think you’re being cruel to President Garcia? Don’t you think it’s disgusting?”
Archer frowned and said, “That name has nothing to do with me. My father chose that name, and he was the one who registered it!”
“Well, even if the name wasn’t chosen to disgust President Garcia, don’t you dislike the fact that he’s Savannah’s son? Savannah is so cruel and wicked, so how could her son be any different? Like mother like son, after all.”
Lucian sneered, “President Saunders, you don’t plan to let him inherit everything, right? If you do, Savannah would be delighted even if she was already put to death.”
Archer did not speak and Lamont looked at Lucian with displeasure. “Lucian, you have gone too far! Raymond and Savannah are different! There’s no need to pull the kids into this!”
“Gone too far? I’m just stating the truth. Savannah can’t possibly be so intent on marrying you just because she likes you, right? She must be interested in the Saunders family’s wealth. Since you are going to get even with Savannah, you can’t just let Raymond off like that. How would you be able to face President Garcia?”
“I know what you mean! I have never intended to leave anything for Raymond. That’s why I let him stay abroad for so many years. You don’t have to worry about that.” Archer said coolly.
This made Lamont sigh slightly as he had just promised Gavin that he would convince Archer to treat his son better. He couldn’t believe that Archer had already made such plans.
If Gavin knew Archer did not intend to let Raymond be the heir, he might have a heart attack.
Lucian did not expect that Archer would be so heartless to his son and was silent for a while before saying, “How can I trust your words just like that? How would I know if you are really going to do as you say?”
“I don’t need you to believe me. It’s enough if I believe in myself.” Archer said coldly, “Avenging Natalie is what I should do. After all, she is my lover and avenging her has nothing to do with you. The only reason I came is upon your request. I’m busy, so please say whatever you have to. Otherwise, I’ll be leaving now.”
As she heard this, Lucian sneered humorlessly, “You are as arrogant and proud as you were the first time I met you. I have nothing else to say.”
Archer gave her one last cold glance and turned to leave. Lucian did not get up and remained still in her seat. Once they were outside, Lamont said, “President Saunders, please don’t mind Lucian. That’s just how she is.”
“I don’t. She’s just an irrelevant person that’s not worth my time. I came only because she used to be friends with Natalie. I thought there was something that Natalie had wanted to tell me. But since they have lost contact for quite some time, I don’t think she has anything to do with Natalie anymore.”
Then, Archer got onto the car as he said this. As he was starting the engine, he suddenly stopped and turned to Lamont. “Lamont, how’s things with Valeria?”
“She was going to collect her marriage certificate with William, but Hayden stopped them. He told her what happened in the past and it made Valeria very sad. I think she won’t be in contact with William anymore.”
“What about William? Is he willing to give up this easily?”
“I heard that William went home and caused a ruckus. But I’m not really sure how things are now.”
“What about that witch?” Archer asked again.
“She’s staying in a hotel now. She went to see Paxton’s illegitimate daughter yesterday and she hasn’t contacted anyone else besides Charles for the time being.”
Archer frowned and thought about this for a while. “I remember you said that Paxton’s illegitimate daughter had an affair with Charles, right?”
“Yes! Valeria had set that up back then.” Lamont nodded. “Mr. Saunders, do you intend to use Ashley?”
“Charles and Savannah are equally vicious and despicable. Charles must have done a lot of evil stuff, and I’m sure there’ll be clues all over the place. And besides Savannah, the only other person who would know about that is Elizabeth Eich, so I intend to start with her first.”
Lamont immediately understood what he meant. “Do you want to stir things up between Ashley and Elizabeth? To make them fight amongst themselves?”
“Yeah! Elizabeth probably doesn’t know anything about Charles and Ashley. So, we’ll find a way to break the news to her. I’m sure she’ll react exactly how we imagine her to.”
Meanwhile, in the private room, Abbie was singing and drinking with Raymond happily.
Seeing how much fun Abbie was having, Michael became even more depressed. He downed his beer in big gulps, one glass after another.
When William saw how desperate he was, he snatched his glass away and pulled him out of the room.
Seeing that William had brought Michael out, Valeria reluctantly walked to Abbie and pulled her aside. “Abbie, you should rest for a while.”
“Why? I’m not tired! Don’t interrupt me when I’m singing, Valeria!”
“Yeah, Abbie is having fun! Don’t interrupt her.” Raymond was enjoying his time with Abbie, and he did not want Valeria to interrupt them as well.
“Abbie, I have something to tell you! Come with me!” Valeria pulled her away without giving her a chance to refuse.
William brought Michael into an empty room. Once he let him go, he shook his head and said. “Alright. Abbie will be coming over in a while. Whatever happens will be up to you.”
However, Michael had drunk too much. At first, he had wanted to have some beer to look drunk so that he could have an excuse if he embarrassed himself in front of Abbie.
But as he watched Abbie and Raymond singing and dancing, his anger boiled. And without realizing it, he had drank too much. When William put him down on the sofa, he laid there giggling to himself, obviously no longer sober.
William patted him on the face and said, “D*mn it. Are you really drunk? Gosh… what are you going to say later!”
He muttered some nonsense in reply as Valeria walked in with Abbie. Seeing Michael lay on the sofa smiling to himself, Abbie was stunned, “What’s going on?”
“Abbie! Abbie!” When Michael saw Abbie, he immediately got up and staggered towards her.
“What’s wrong with you?” Abbie moved to the side in disgust while Michael continued to stagger towards her and held her hand. With a silly smile, he said, “Abbie, I’ve missed you so much!”
William and Valeria couldn’t help but burst into laughter as they heard this. Then, Abbie’s face turned red and she pushed him away. Michael, who was drunk, lost his balance and collapsed onto the sofa with his arms and feet dangling in the air.
