William didn’t look too happy when he’d ended the call. Valeria hugged his arm intimately and said, “Who called you? His voice sounded nice…”
Seeing how the siblings spoke in the same manner, William’s mouth twitched into a smile and said, “It’s my nephew, Raymond Saunders.”
“Savannah’s son?” Valeria was taken aback by this. “He likes Abbie?”
“Yup! Raymond had always liked her. Now that he’s back, I think Michael is going to have some competition.”

“I hate washing the dishes. I’ll cook and you’ll wash!” William decided assertively.
Then, Valeria stood aside as he started preparing. Suddenly, her phone rang and Lamont’s name appeared on the screen. “Miss Brown, I noticed that you hadn’t come to work today. Is anything wrong?”
“No, everything’s fine. I just went out to take a breather.”
“Alone? Or are you with Mr. William?” Lamont asked immediately.
“Does it matter?” Valeria asked him.
“Miss Brown, please think about what I told you yesterday… ”
“Uncle Saunders, I don’t think this is your business.” Valeria interrupted and said in a cold tone.
“I trust you, but that doesn’t mean that you can meddle in my personal matters. I hope you won’t interfere with our relationship.”
“Miss Brown, please don’t get angry. I don’t intend to meddle with your relationship. Everything I do is for your own good!”
“I’m not a child anymore. I know who treats me well and who doesn’t. I know William well, so don’t you dare speak ill of him in front of me in future. If you’re not happy with my decision, then you can just leave.”
It was the first time Valeria had spoken so rudely to him. Lamont laughed bitterly as he had always thought Valeria was gentle and easy to talk to. He didn’t expect that she would disregard him like that when she was infuriated. “I’m sorry, Miss Brown.”
“That is all. Don’t call me without a reason in the future.”

William nodded with a smile. “Definitely! I almost peed my pants! My dear wife, please be gentle to me in future. I’m a timid guy and I’m easily frightened!”
“As long as you listen to me, I’ll be gentle to you. So all you have to do is obey your wife, alright? Whatever I say goes, and I won’t accept any objections!” Valeria put on a fierce look and threatened jokingly.
“Of course! My wife is always right. She’s the one in charge!” William said with a pitiful look on his face. Looking at his expression, Valeria burst into laughter as she couldn’t hold it in anymore.
After Valeria’s rant, Lamont was left extremely gloomy. He sat on his chair and sighed heavily.
As Braelynn walked in, she saw his defeated look and asked, “Dad, what’s up with the long face?”
“I’ve just got a scolding from Miss Brown. She told me not to interfere with her relationship with William.” Lamont answered with annoyance.
“Well, then you shouldn’t. Miss Brown and William are madly in love right now. At this stage, no one would be able to talk any sense into them, not even their parents. Besides, you’re just an outsider to her.”
“I can’t just let her be.” Lamont sighed and said, “I thought that she would leave him after she’d heard the truth from Hayden. I can’t believe that she wasn’t affected at all! This is not going to end well… ”
“Dad, I think you’re worrying too much. William is the president of Wolf Group. Even if he’d wanted to hurt her, there’s nothing you could do to stop it, right?
