CAMILLE’S POV :
We headed back to our cars, everyone was already in when I got in. I turned to my aunt to tell her what I found out about the werewolves being from the Red Sky Pack and she nodded her head saying, “I found out too Camille, I really don’t want to believe it. Because it’s just so heartbreaking”.
“I know aunty but don’t worry, we will get to the bottom of this”, I tried calming her down, I myself was shocked and speechless.
“What happened?”, Aiden’s mum questioned curiously.
“The werewolves we just fought and killed, I recognized one as a warrior from the Red Sky Pack and My Aunt also did too. So we think the Red Sky Pack did this but I don’t know what to believe, I can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that they would betray us and even want me dead”, I explained to her sighing.
She and Miss Clara gasped in shock, “that wouldn’t be right for them. I just hope they didn’t, because that would be very very stupid and bad”, Aiden’s mum hissed in anger.
“I know right, I saw them as family and that’s why it’s so hard to believe”, I explained to everyone in the car, as the driver drove off. The driver/guard, remained in the car, to protect the people their ad that’s why the didn’t fight with us.
“The thing is Alpha Luke came to actually suggest, we join our packs together and he will be the Alpha, but I didn’t accept and he, I don’t know if he acted about understanding or agreeing but it felt like he understood”, I informed them of my discussion with Alpha Luke.
“What the? Is something wrong with him? Why does he want trouble, when finally everyone is happy?”, My Aunt exclaimed angrily.
“I don’t even know if Abigail knows about it, I’m sure she wouldn’t support her mate in this madness of his”, my aunt continued talking angrily.
“I really don’t know what to say Aunty, let’s forget about it for tonight. Tomorrow I’ll see what I can do”.
We finally got home, everyone a bit tired. We bid ourselves goodnight as each of us headed to our rooms, except I , Liam and his mate. I told Liam to wait because I had something I wanted him to do for me.
“So I want you to set up a meeting with Alpha Luke tomorrow. In case he says he’s busy, I don’t care. I am going to have a talk with him”, I informed Liam, who nodded his head in understanding. “And also I’ll need some escorts/warriors to go with me and you would come along too”.
“Yes Alpha, that’s understood”, he replied.
“And please help me inform the warriors, we have to make our security tighter and protect the Pack. We don’t know when they or whosoever will strike next, we need to be prepared for the worst, that’s if it comes to that”, I stated.
“Of course”, Liam agreed.
“Thank you and I’m sorry for keeping you and your mate. Please you can return home”, I told them sincerely as his mate, shook her head smiling and saying it was no problem.
“It’s a pleasure Alpha Camille”, Liam smirked when he called my name with the tightly, making me chuckle. He do like to test me, I laughed.
“Goodnight, stay safe”, I bid them. They left to their home and I to my room.
I got inside, feeling so exhausted. I showered and freshened up and put on my night dress. I laid on my bed, feeling quite relaxed. My thoughts went to when I saw Aiden for the first time, my breath hitched at how handsome he was, our first kiss together, even though it might not have meant anything to him but it did to me. I slept of while thinking about him, the love , the pain, the heart ache, the anger, everything.
Next morning
The sun had just risen as the alarm clock went off, jolting me out of my deep sleep. I had set an alarm today because I needed it, I stretched my arms and legs before sitting up in bed and rubbing the sleep from my eyes.
As I got out of bed, I could feel the coolness of the morning air on my skin. I walked to my closet and picked out a beautiful blue dress that I had bought the previous week. I paired it with a pair of black heels and a matching handbag.
I then went to the bathroom to freshen up. I washed my face, showered and brushed my teeth, taking extra care to make sure my hair was in place. I applied some natural lip gloss, just enough to accentuate my natural beauty.
Finally, I took a look at myself in the mirror, satisfied with my appearance. I grabbed my handbag and headed out the door, ready for my important meeting.
As I went downstairs, breakfast was already served. I greeted the people on the dining, my aunt, Aiden’s mum, etc. We talked about some stuffs as we had breakfast.
“Good morning Alpha, everything is set and we are good to go”, Liam came inside the house and informed me.
“Yes of course, I’m done anyways. Let’s go”, I offered, getting up from the table and thanking everyone for wonderful meal.
“Wait, where you going?”, My aunt asked me as I wanted to leave.
I stopped and turned to her, “oh sorry , it slipped my mind. I’m going to have a meeting with Alpha Luke concerning yesterday’s incident”.
I and Liam got into the car with our escorts following us as we headed to the Red Sky Pack.
We reached there and was let into the pack. Our cars parked up in front of the house, as I and Liam came down and went in. My warriors on guard.
“Good morning everyone”, I smiled and said to them as Luna Abigail invited us to sit and have breakfast with them in the dining room. Of course we did but we passed on the breakfast since we had already eaten before coming.
“So what brings you here?”, Kevin asked me smiling.
“I’m here to talk with your father, we actually have a meeting”, I explained to not only Kevin but everyone present at the table. “Alpha Luke would you like us to discuss it here or in your office?”.
