CAMILLE’S POV :
Liam mind linked me, “What’s wrong?” he asked, his voice a bit above a whisper.
I closed my eyes, my mind reaching out to sense the presence of the threats. I could smell the familiar scent of the werewolves, but there was something else too. Something that was familiar and unsettling.
“I can smell something,” I said, my voice audible. “Something familiar, but I can’t quite place it.”
Liam frowned, his eyes scanning the forest for any sign of danger. He could smell nothing but the familiar scent of the pack.
“What is it?” he asked.
I shook my head, my mind working to piece together the puzzle.
“I don’t know,” I said, my voice hardening with determination. “But they smell like people I should know or something.
“Hmm, well let’s see what they want”, Liam said through the mind link and I nodded my head in agreement.
I walked forward and the werewolves who blocked us, one of them came forward too, I guess I’ll be doing the talking with that one.
“What do you want?” I asked calmly, my eyes locked onto the female. This one was definitely a female. Her hair, body , everything.
“We want you dead,” she growled, her lips curling back to reveal sharp teeth.
“Who sent you?”, I asked her with a strong voice.
“I don’t think you have the right to ask me that ridiculous question. Just get ready to die, that’s all you need to prepare for”, the female told me, smirking. I couldn’t hold unto the laugh anymore as I let it out and laughed loudly, my voice echoing in the dark woods.
Everyone there looked confused, even my own people.
Finally I called myself and stopped laughing, looking up to the confused female, who was trying to understand what was funny.
My eyes narrowed, but I remained calm. “Leave now, and avoid bloodshed,” I said, my voice firm but measured.
The female sneer deepened. “We will not back down,” she growled. “You are a weak leader, and we will not allow you to rule any longer.”
“And you are what? Strong and capable? Oh please, take a look at yourself. Why do you guys just like stirring up trouble where there is none? It’s my pack right? What business does it have to do with you how I run it and for your information. Let me help you rephrase that nonsense that came out from your mouth, I am not a weak leader, you that’s talking will never be able to go through what I’ve gone through. So maybe you should try thinking before you talk”, I told her smiling sweetly and sarcastically of course.
The females eyes flashed with anger, but she kept her temper in check. “You are outnumbered and outmatched,” she said. “All this your talking isn’t going to help safe you.”
“Did I say I was talking to be saved? I’m trying to knock some sense into you and your saying another thing”, I snapped at the female. I just had a wonderful evening, can’t I just enjoy it. I haven’t even reached my house and they are up with all their problems, gosh.
“Your blood will be shed today”, The female said, suddenly growling and lunged forward, but I was ready.
And immediately she attacked, I slit her throat with my claws which had elongated and looked at the dead body, “you talk too much”.
As soon as she was down, the others attacked and I already linked Liam, his mate who was ready to fight and my aunt that the fight was going to start, so we were ready.
The female people or fighters then charged towards us in full speed.
I lunged forward, my razor-sharp claws glinting in the moonlight as I sliced through the first of the rival fighter. I was a blur of movement as I fought, my powerful jaws snapping shut on the throat of another enemy werewolf.
My warriors fought by my side, each one just as deadly and skilled. Liam, a massive brute of a werewolf, fought with his claws and teeth, ripping apart any enemy that came within reach. Another, Liam mate, with a more finesse, using her agility to dodge attacks and strike with precision. The last my aunt fought as she was calculative, understanding the movements of the enemy werewolf, calculating it and attacking them before they will even get the chance too.
The enemy werewolves fought back with all their might, but they were no match for the I and my warriors. It was a proud thing for me to say. The enemy werewolves were quickly overpowered and decimated, with all there stance and talking.
I and my warriors fought with a fierce determination, our instincts honed from years of battle. We moved as one, our attacks perfectly coordinated as we took down our enemies one by one.
The ground was slick with the blood of the fallen as I and my warriors relentlessly shredded our opponents. The enemy werewolves were falling one by one, until the last of them was left standing. I, with a swift and powerful move, used my fist to punch the werewolf in his face and then break the neck of the last enemy, killing him instantly.
I bent down beside the lifeless body of the rival werewolf, Liam standing at my side. I sniffed at the corpse, taking in the scent of the fallen rival. “I know this one,” I said to Liam, my voice low and gravelly. “He is warrior of the Red Sky Pack.”
My beta, a strong and loyal male, looked down at the body with a mixture of shock and disgust. “Why would they challenge us?” he asked, his voice betraying his confusion.
I stood up, my eyes scanning the surrounding area. “They were foolish,” I said, my voice filled with contempt. “They thought they could take our territory and our pack. But they underestimated us.”
Liam nodded, understanding my words. He knew that his pack was strong, and that we would always prevail against any challengers as much as we can.
I turned to him, my eyes flashing with determination. “We must inform the others of this attack,” I said. “And we must prepare for any retaliation that may come.”
Liam nodded, understanding the gravity of the situation. He knew that the pack would need to be on high alert, ready to defend ourselves at a moment’s notice.
I looked back at him and spoke, ” And in the meantime, when I we get home. I need you to do something for me”.
