CHAPTER HUNDRED AND FIFTEEN

Book:Claimed By The Ruthless Alpha Published:2024-5-31

CAMILLE’S POV :
“Here would be fine, I’m sure it’s nothing serious. So sure!”, Alpha Luke agreed, smiling.
“Okay so it’s about yesterday incident when we left your Pack”, I explained to him as he nodded his headed, urging me to continue.
“We were attacked by three cars, filled up with werewolves”.
“Omg is everyone okay? Your aunty is she okay?”, Luna Abigail asked looking very worried.
“Yes Aunty, everyone is fine”, I smiled at her as she relaxed, the twins also let out a sigh of relief.
“So what’s the problem?”, Kendra asked me softly.
“Oh the problem”, I laughed softly, “the problem is that those warriors seemed to be from the Red Sky Pack. This pack”, I told them, as they all looked at me in shock. I looked at Alpha Luke’s face to see if it would react but he just kept it normal.
“Why would you say such a thing Camille?”, Luna Abigail asked shocked.
“I’ve been here for like two years and fought with the warriors. You don’t expect me not to recognize them, do you?”, I questioned feeling annoyed, “even my aunt noticed the same thing and I don’t get why Alpha Luke hasn’t said a word”.
We all turned to him, Luna Abigail muttering, “Luke?”.
“How I’m I suppose to know if what she’s saying is true? Maybe they thought she was weak to rule the pack as I think also. A man should be the leader”, he said , still eating. I stared at him, dumbfounded.
“That’s the exact thing the female lead said, that I’m weak”, I was hurt by what was happening. My instincts were telling me he was the one, no matter how hard I tried not to believe it. It sounded so true.
“Dad why would you say a thing like that?”, Kevin asked his father angrily.
“Don’t ask me any question boy. I don’t think I said anything wrong”, Alpha Luke replied to his son.
I just watched Alpha Luke eat his food and I wanted to choke him with a fork but held myself back.
Without a word I signalled for Liam to get up so we can leave. They tried calling me back, except Alpha Luke but I ignored and continued walking until Alpha Luke said something that stopped me, “let her go, why are you begging the good for nothing weakling”.
I turned around and walked straight to him, “let’s just hope it isn’t you Alpha Luke. Cause I’ll forget everything you have done for me and will enjoy killing you, slowly”. My voice said deadly.
Luna Abigail stood up to calm me down, so did Liam,”let go of me Liam”, I told him as he held me back, “these are people that I trusted and fought with. They felt like family and this is what I get in return”. Tears were already threatening to fall from my eyes as I raised my voice.
Upon Luna and the twins trying to speak to me, I quickly left the pack in the car with Liam. Going back home.
I rested my head on the car window, feeling very hurt and angry at Alpha Luke’s words.
“Are you okay?”, Liam asked me but I shooked my head, “no I’m not. I’m hurt, I’m angry that he could say such a thing to me. I believe he was the one that sent those people but nothing is exactly certain”.
“I think so too but we just have to wait and see”, Liam said as I nodded my head agreeing with him. Let’s just see how everything will turn out.
***Meanwhile at the Red Sky Pack***
Alpha Luke stood up and left the dining, going to his room and relaxing, while reading a book, after Camille left. Luna Abigail followed him, her face contorted in anger. “How could you say something like that to Camille?” she exclaimed, her voice shaking with emotion.
Her husband/mate, Alpha Luke, looked up from the book he was reading, a confused expression on his face. “What are you talking about?” he asked.
“You know exactly what I’m talking about,” Luna Abigail said, her voice rising. “You called her a weakling. You said she wasn’t capable of handling her own pack.”
Alpha Luke sighed, setting his book down on the table in their room. “I didn’t mean it like that,” he said. “I just meant that she’s still young and inexperienced. She needs to learn the ways of the pack before she can lead one.”
Luna Abigail shooked her head, her eyes filled with tears. “You don’t understand,” she said. “She’s not just any werewolf. She’s like family. And you’re making her feel like she’s not good enough”.
“I understand your concern, but I can’t apologize for something that I truly believe,” Alpha Luke said, his voice firm. “Camille is not capable of leading a pack, at least not yet. It’s not just about age and experience, it’s about strength and power. She doesn’t have what it takes to be a leader.”
Luna Abigail pulled her hands away from were her husband/mate was holding her, her anger returning. “You’re not just talking about her ability to lead a pack, you’re talking about her worth as a person,” she said, her voice trembling with emotion. “You’re making her feel like she’s not good enough, like she’s weak.”
Alpha Luke shook his head. “I’m not trying to do that. I just want to protect her. I don’t want her to get hurt,” he said.
“By making her feel like she’s not good enough, you’re hurting her more”, Luna Abigail exclaimed.
He just wanted to prove his point and be right, Luna Abigail thought.
Her eyes widened in disbelief. “You don’t care about her at all, do you? This is all about proving your point and being right,” she said, her voice filled with anger and disappointment.
Alpha Luke didn’t respond, his silence confirming her suspicions.
Luna Abigail let out a bitter laugh. “I can’t believe I’m mated to someone who is so blind to their own arrogance and lack of empathy and can turn against people so easily,” she said, turning to leave the room, but stopped in her tracks, turning to face her mate. “Is that what this is all about?” she asked, her voice cold. “Or, you want to be the leader of the two packs, joining it together as one and you don’t want Camille to stop you?”
