CAMILLE’S POV :
“I-i umm I’m sorry that w-was a mistake”, I stuttered, feeling surprised myself.
“No no please”, Aiden’s mother rushed out and held my hands, “I don’t mind. I would even love you to call me mum”.
“I don’t understand, you hate me don’t you?, Why are you being nice to me?”, I asked her, my voice cracking a little.
“I have regretted everything I did to you and your family as I’m willing to make it right and hope you forgive me. It was so wrong of me, it breaks my heart everyday when I remember it , it hunts me. I’m so sorry Camille, forgive me, I’ve caused you so much pain and I might even be the one and Aiden’s Dad that caused Aiden to hate you more. I don’t know I’m just sorry for everything”, she pleaded as she broke down. She has never done this before i-i, I quickly hugged her.
“It’s okay I forgive you , please don’t cry. I forgive you, it might take time to heal but I’m sure I will be healed soon. I forgive you mum mm”, I smiled widely helping her dry her tears, my own eyes a bit teary.
“Really??”, She pulls me into a hug again making me chuckle, “I can finally breathe my daughter”.
I clasped my hands together, “okay we should also get you ready for the dinner. That’s if you want to join us?”
“Of course I would love too”, Aiden’s mum said as I helped her to prepare. She chose a peach coloured long sleeved gown and a black shoe with her peach bag. Her jewelries were beautiful and when we were down, mmmlalal she looked gorgeous.
This women keep making me proud and blush for them.
“Shall we?” I said to her, holding out my elbow.
“We shall” , Aiden’s mum said, taking my elbow as we walked out of the room and down to the sitting room.
“Okay people! Let’s go!!”, I exclaimed. Everyone noticed how comfortable I and Aiden’s mum were and gave us a suspicious look. In other to makeup them understand, I explained to them that I had forgiven her and everything was okay. They all looked happy, at least there’s a progress.
We had two cars to drive us to the Red Sky Pack for the dinner party. Soon we got into the cars and left for the party.
Reaching the border, the guards did a check and let us through. They even waved at me, yeah I missed seeing them also.
We stopped in front of the Alpha Luke’s house and came down. We all went inside together and wow this was fire. Soon we meet with Alpha Luke, Luna Abigail and the twins. The twins hugged me tightly, I thought I would disappear, “I missed you guys too”, I murmured, hugging them back. Also hugged Luna Abigail and greeted Alpha Luke. I introduced me family that was with me and everyone got comfortable.
The dinner party in Alpha Luke beautiful home was a beautiful sight to behold. Everyone was dressed to the nines and the tables were set with the finest of linens, dishes, and silverware. The food was exquisite and the conversation was lively. The music was soothing and the atmosphere was filled with joy and laughter.
The host and hostess of the evening were the perfect hosts, making sure everyone was comfortable and having a good time. The guests were in awe of the grandeur of their home and the decorations and furnishings were fit for royalty. As the night went on, the guests were treated to a lovely rendition of a classical piece performed by a string quartet. Was such a lovely evening and lovely way to spend the evening.
The music filled the room and before you know it Kevin rushed to my side and dragged me for a dance”Would you like to dance?”. Oh so after he has dragged me already by my hand, is now he remembers to ask, I laughed .
I smiled at him, laughing softly. “Yes, I would love to.”
He took my hand in his and we started to dance. Then there was a time, they played one song that I and the twins loved, we screamed and some guest looked at us chuckling as we sang and dance to it, enjoying ourselves and forgetting about our worries.
We did some crazy dance steps, my aunt , Luna Abigail, Miss Clara and Aiden’s mum also danced. They made some funny moves, I don’t even think I’ll ever forget those moves. I was laughing so hard by the time they were done.
Most of the guests clapped, enjoying the sure. Other people danced and ate, enjoying the evening. I was really glad to make it, it was a relief of stress and somewhat a relaxation.
I finally went to get some food, I had been busy dancing and laughing, chatting, that I forgot to get some food to eat. There were so many things to choose from and I got so confused.
What should I eat now? I mumbled to myself. Should I take this or that. I even started laughing at myself as I felt confused.
“Finding it hard to choose?”, Someone whispered in my ear, making me jerk and turn.
“Oh I’m sorry, didn’t mean to scare you. The name’s Alex”, the young man introduced himself.
“Camille”, I said back smiling softly.
“What a lovely name for a gorgeous lady”, Alex complimented.
“Why, thank you and you don’t look bad yourself”, I also have him a compliment, making him chuckled softly.
“So your having trouble choosing what you want to eat?”, He asked me.
“Yes kinda but don’t worry, I got it all covered now”, I smirked as I turned and filled up my plate with what I wanted. Alex also filled up his plate with yummy food.
“Is it okay we eat together?”, Alex asked politely and I nodded, “sure”. There was no harm in that.
We sat down in the sitting room and started eating and then looked at Alex and asked, “you know, I have never seen you before, who are you?”
