CAMILLE’S POV :
“Sorry, excuse me?”, I was still trying to understand if he was actually being serious or joking because it wasn’t pleasant to my ears at all.
“It will be good Camille. I’ll take over the pack, joining our two packs together to make a great force”, Alpha Luke suggested.
“I’m sorry Alpha Luke but I’m perfectly capable of handling my pack”, emphasis on my pack. “Is there anything else you would like to know or need?”.
He looked at me for a while, it was as if he was upset but then he replaced it with a smile, “No and I also came to invite you far a dinner we are having at my pack. Of course I’ll love for you too come and your welcome to bring anyone”.
“Oh that will be wonderful, I would love to be there of course”, I stated, smiling at Alpha Luke. He told me time and everything I needed to know and well I was looking forward to that dinner.
Finally, Alpha Luke stood up and I also stood up as he decided to take his leave. I escorted him to his car and said my goodbyes as he left my Pack.
I went back to my office and sat down on my chair behind the desk. Liam was already seated in one of the chairs.
“Did he really mean what he said?” Liam asked me, drawing my attention.
“What do you mean?”, I asked him being confused as to what he was referring too.
“The part where he wants to take over our Pack also”, he replied.
“Well I guess he was making a suggestion, which obviously it’s not needed and seeing that he didn’t argue with me or anything. I guess he won’t bring it up anymore”, I told Liam.
“But what if he pressed on, would you?”, Liam pushed.
“I won’t Liam. Even though this Pack has done things to me, that has caused me pain, I’ll protect them with everything I have. I only hope it does come biting me in the back”, I informed Liam while smiling softly.
Liam chuckled and looked at me , “Aiden would be proud to see how well your handling his pack”.
“Well I’m not doing it for him”, I said with a duh look.
“Are you sure?”, Liam teased me. I did my mouth in a way, trying to hold in my laugh or smile but it wasn’t working.
“Stop teasing me, I’m not doing it for him okay”.
“But you love him, don’t you Camille?”, this time around Liam had a serious look on his face.
“To be sincere, I don’t have an answer to that. Aiden cause me a lot of pain and I don’t even know if I can forgive him yet”, I closed my eyes taking deep breathes.
“It’s alright, let’s not talk about it”, Liam said trying to calm me down. He was really a nice person.
“Thank you Liam, unfortunately it’s really nice knowing and working with you”, I told him sincerely.
“Likewise Alpha, the pleasure is all mine”, Liam made a cute curt bow, making me chuckle.
“I would also love for you to join us for the dinner tonight, your mate can come too. My Aunt might join and maybe Miss Clara or something”, I informed Liam.
“Of course it would be our pleasure, thanks for the invite and I’ll let my mate know too”, he smiled at me as I returned it back, nodded my head in agreement.
I came out from the office heading to the sitting room where I informed my aunt about the dinner and also Miss Clara. I didn’t know if Aiden’s mother would want to attend but I found it difficult to ask her.
Reaching evening, everyone was getting prepared for the dinner party.
I felt a sudden rush of excitement as I stepped out of the shower. I was looking forward to the dinner and I’ll get to see the twins and few friends. I quickly dried my hair and put on my makeup. I decided to go for a natural look, with a light layer of foundation, a hint of blush, and a bit of mascara.
I admired my reflection in the mirror and moved to my closet. I pulled out a beautiful black dress for the occasion, I have never worn it before and this will be the best time too. I slipped it on, and felt the soft fabric brush against my skin. I looked in the mirror and smiled. The dress fit me perfectly, and went well with my skin.
I decided to accessorize with a thin silver necklace and matching earrings. I added a little extra blush and lip gloss, and finished off the look with a pair of black heels. I grabbed my clutch, my phone, and a light jacket, and headed out the door.
Leaving my room and going downstairs, I saw that everyone else were there and had been waiting for me.
“Oh I’m sorry for keeping you guys waiting”, I apologized and the said it was no problem. “You all look dashing tonight”, I complimented them as they chuckled, smiled and said thanks.
Liam’s mate was looking very stunning too with her purple dress, I love it. My aunt in her skirt and blouse, still looking hot! And then Miss Clara, wow, see was in a red gown.
This people will not kill me o, see how stunning they look. I’m actually very proud.
“You look so beautiful Alpha Camille”, my aunt tease, everyone agreeing. I blushed and thanked them.
“What about Aiden’s mum?”, My aunt asked, “won’t she be attending the party?”.
“I didn’t ask her aunt, I didn’t even know if I could”, I shrugged.
“Go ask her, there’s still time and we can wait”, my aunt urged.
“Someone else can go ask her. I will j–“, the words didn’t even come out of my mouth complete as my aunt glared at me.
“Fine fine I’m going”. I turned and went back upstairs heading to Aiden’s mother’s room.
I knocked and opened the door when I was asked too, “umm mum I was hoping you could join us for the dinner?”
“You called me mum?”, Aiden’s mother gasp as she looked at me in shock.
