Meanwhile in New Orleans, Nara was trying to put all the pieces back together.
Nara Inadu was an enigma. A powerful witch feared across the lands, her name was whispered in hushed tones, as if uttering it might summon her wrath. Yet behind this fearsome image, there was a good heart.
Though ruthless and unyielding in pursuit of her goals, Nara could also be merciful. She had a sharp wit, often using her powerful magic to protect the innocent and punish the wicked. On occasion, she even used her magic for the benefit of the common folk, helping them with their struggles and providing gifts when she deemed it necessary and when her wrath is needed and she wants to use it, nothing stops her.
Nara was a force to be reckoned with. She could summon storms, raise the dead, and even bend time and space to her will. It was said that she could even transform into a powerful beast that could rend the strongest of warriors in two with a single swipe of its claws. There were so many stories about Nara.
But beneath this powerful exterior was a vulnerability that few ever saw.
Despite her formidable reputation, Nara was often kind and generous to those in need. She was not above helping a struggling family, or providing shelter to a lost traveler. In these moments, her heart shone through, warmed by her compassion and understanding.
Though she was feared across the lands, Nara was also respected and admired for her power and her good heart. Few dared to challenge her, for fear of incurring her wrath, but those who did found that she was often willing to listen and compromise.
As the years passed, Nara’s legend continued to grow, and her reputation as a ruthless yet benevolent witch spread across the land. Her great magic and good heart were a source of both fear and admiration, and the name Nara was whispered with both reverence and awe. Though some other witches wanted to kill her because of envy and have her powers to themselves but till now they have never won.
It was said that the powers of the late Inadu had been passed unto Nara, making it seemed like Inadu’s powers recarnated in Nara. And Nara decided to use her ancestral name, Nara Inadu and she seemed to like the feel of it.
There was one midnight and Nara had just finished casting a spell. She was exhausted and ready for a good night’s sleep. Little did she know, a group of witches from a far-off land had come to try and take her down.
The group had been planning this attack for weeks. They knew that the powerful witch was a formidable opponent and they wanted to make sure they had the upper hand. With the help of some dark magic, they had managed to enter her home late at night and had laid in wait for her.
Suddenly, the Nara awoke to find the witches standing right in front of her. She was furious and ready to fight. She knew that if she was going to win this battle, she had to be stronger than them.
Using all of her energy, she attacked the witches with her head. She used her powerful magic to make the witches suffer. Her power was so intense that it knocked them off their feet and sent them flying through the air.
Nara then used her head to cast a powerful spell that would make all the witches forget about their mission. She had them running for their lives, never to return.
With her enemies gone, the powerful witch felt a sense of relief. She had won the battle and was safe. She had used her head to protect herself and it had paid off. Nara then decided to double her house with more spells to protect the place.
There was even a time Nara attended a witches meeting. Many liked her, while some didn’t. She was almost poisoned with her drink but she noticed it on time.
She forced the waiter who served the drink to tell her who sent her to give her the drink. By that time Nara was irritated and wasn’t in the mood for jokes. All the other witches had kept quiet and watched what was happening. Finally the girl pointed to a woman seated around the table out of fear.
Nara took the drink and walked to meet the woman. The woman, who is also a witch stood up and turned to Nara. Nara told the woman to drink the wine but the woman covered it up by saying she doesn’t want anything from Nara. “Drink I said”, Nara commanded.
Everyone could feel her powers and irritation radiating off Nara. Some of the other witches tried to calm her down but she wanted to give a warning to those who would try to continue making moves to kill her. After much wasting of time, Nara used her powers to make the woman drink the juice and when the woman drank it finish and nothing happened, the woman smirked.
Nara dropped the wine glass cup on the table and excused herself politely, leaving the meeting. Before she got to the door, the woman had already started coughing blood but Nara spared her no sympathy as she left.
Now that Nara was back from her deep sleep, she was going to make her life right and get back on track. Though the witches had succeeded in hurting her emotionally but she still stood stronger than ever, despite the pain she felt but that was all in the past now.
Every night at Nara Inadu’s house, you would hear grunts and noises in her dungeon as if someone or something was trying to break free Nara will scream at the noise and ask if it never gets tired of trying but it wouldn’t stop.
Sometimes she would make it stop and sometimes she would just let it be, when it’s tired it will stop.
But what could be making that noise or better still who?
