CAMILLE’S POV :
As I walked through the airport, my heart was pounding with excitement. Though I was going there for something important but it was also a great place to visit. I had always heard about the vibrant culture, delicious food, and lively music, and I couldn’t wait to experience it all for myself.
I made my way to the airport and boarded the plane. As I settled into my seat, I couldn’t help but feel a sense of anticipation. I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, trying to steady my nerves. The plane began to move, and before I knew it, we were taking off.
As we soared through the clouds, I gazed out the window at the beautiful scenery below. The sun was setting, casting a golden glow over the landscape. I felt a sense of freedom and wonder, as if anything was possible.
When the plane finally landed in New Orleans, I couldn’t wait to disembark and start exploring. I picked up my luggage and made my way to the hotel. After I checked in, I freshened up and set out to explore the city.
I walked through the streets, taking in the sights and sounds of the city. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of awe at the architecture, with its ornate wrought iron balconies and colorful Creole cottages. The air was thick with the scent of spices and seafood, and I could hear the sounds of jazz music drifting through the streets.
As the night went on, I found myself in the heart of the French Quarter, where the streets were filled with people dancing, singing, and enjoying themselves. I couldn’t help but feel a sense of joy and wonder as I joined in the revelry.
I had landed in New Orleans in the evening and after spending so much time roaming about I decided to visit my aunt’s old house before it will be very dark.
Getting to the house I stood outside the gate and looked at it. It had a certain charm and character that you couldn’t find in modern buildings. I couldn’t wait to explore every nook and cranny of the house. My aunt had given me a key to the house door in case I couldn’t open it. My aunt said that my cousin might have put a spell that no one, no stranger could go into the house and Aunt Zara had the spelled key to go in.
I inserted the key into the key hole, turning it around as the door then unlocked. I went inside and locked the door back up just in case. I turned on the light switch and the place shined beautiful despite it being a old house. My aunt had told me everything I needed to know about the house, so it was easy to find the light switch.
As I walked and saw through the house, I couldn’t help but notice the small details that made it so special. The intricate moldings on the ceiling, the stained-glass windows, and the vintage wallpaper all added to the house’s unique character. I felt like I was experiencing a piece of history and it was truly magical.
I spent the rest of the evening searching the house for any clues or information that would help me with the location of my cousin. I went through old photo albums, looked through stacks of papers and even climbed into the attic to see if there was anything hidden away. But unfortunately, I didn’t find anything that would aid my research.
I didn’t give up, I would come back the next day to continue with my search. So I switched off all the lights and stepped out of the house, locking it and making my leave. I knew the key was very important, so I hid it in my shoe, so I won’t misplace it.
As I walked down the street, lost in my thoughts, I didn’t pay attention to where I was going and bumped into someone. We both quickly apologized and I was about to continue on my way when the person spoke up.
“Hey, I’m sorry about that. Let me make it up to you by buying you a drink at that restaurant over there,” he said, pointing to a small cafe a few steps away.
I hesitated for a moment, unsure if it was a good idea to accept a drink from a stranger. But something about him seemed friendly and harmless, so I decided to take him up on his offer.
We walked to the restaurant and took a seat at a small table. He introduced himself as John and we chatted easily as we sipped our drinks. He was a local and was more than happy to share his knowledge and tips about the city, I found it helpful and interesting as he showed me some of the hidden gems and lesser-known places in the city.
As the evening went on, I found myself laughing and enjoying his company. I couldn’t believe how easy it was to talk to him, like I knew him for years. Then he offered to take me to my hotel , which I of course agreed. Before I could tell, I felt something hit me at the back of my neck as I lost consciousness.
ALPHA AIDEN’S POV :
I strode into my office, my beta and the two council members following closely behind. I slammed the door shut and turned to face them, my expression fierce.
“They won’t back down,” I growled. “They think they can challenge us. But we won’t stand for it. We will give them war.”
My beta and council members exchanged worried glances, but said nothing. They knew better than to argue with me when I am in this state.
“We will gather our forces and strike quickly and decisively,” I continued. “We will show them that we are not to be trifled with. And when it is over, they will know that we are the true power in this land.”
Liam nodded, his expression determined. “We will make preparations at once, Alpha. We will not let them get the better of us.”
The council members also nodded, their expressions mirroring Liam’s. I smiled, my anger dissipating slightly.
“Good. We will show them what we are made of. And we will emerge victorious.”
With that, I turned to my desk and began making plans for the coming war. My beta and council members set to work as well, ready to do whatever it takes to ensure our victory and soon enough we will discuss this with other council members and warriors.
