CAMILLE’S POV :
It took me some days before I could actually find out something that I could use to take Aiden down. I was doing a research and then after researching on so many things, I finally saw it. I almost passed it as it was something brief.
There was a picture of a ring, it was called the MOONLIGHT RING. I’ve seen this somewhere, I said to myself as I tried recalling to find out where I did. Then it came to me, it was on Alpha Aiden’s finger and some head warriors and elders had it too. It was easy to differentiate from a normal ring as it has a unique look and I was sure that this was it.
I did some more research and found out that the ring could only be made by a witch and it will be hard to neutralize one unless you have the best ingredients, but why neutralize it when I can have it if I get my hands on it.
It can make me more stronger to defeat Aiden. I’ll need to weaken him and then slip the ring off his fingers and unto mine but how will I make him that weak. Despite the ring, Aiden is still strong but the ring multiplied everything for him.
Yes I got it, I need a strong witch to help me with this. But I didn’t know any strong witch and it will be difficult to find one now. I continued stressing my brain, thinking of a witch that could help before a knock came in.
I opened the door to meet my aunt Zara and let her in.
“What is it your working on so hard that you didn’t come downstairs for breakfast today?” She asked joining me on the bed, where there was papers and my laptop. Yes I now had a laptop and even a phone.
“Well I found a way to take Aiden down but I will need a strong witch for that and I can’t seem to find any. And this is the best plan I’ve come up with Aunty”, I groaned, feeling so frustrated.
Aunt Zara quickly stood up from the bed and left the room telling me to wait. I looked at the door in confusion as I waited for her.
Few minutes later, Aunt Zara came back into my room with a box of papers, she shut the door and carried the box, setting it on the bed.
“What are these?” I asked her curiously.
“These are things that will help you find the best witch suitable for what you need” she told me as she started explaining.
Aunt Zara talked about a long lost cousin of mine who lived in New Orleans and that cousin of mine was the strongest witch ever known. Other witches saw he as a threat and planned to kill her, even her closest friend betrayed her, the love of her life, causing my cousin so much pain. So my cousin decided to put herself into a deep sleep, to at least get them off her back and get some peace. Most of the betrayal and heart breaks broke her down and she couldn’t bare it and that’s why she decided to put herself in a deep sleep to get some peace. That cousin of mine had written a letter and sent quickly to my aunt Zara.
Which read,
*Dear aunty, I’m sorry if this would cause you pain but I’ve decided to make myself disappear for a while and if you need me and your able to find me. I have put my self in a deep sleep and the only way to get me to wake up is by a strong family werewolf blood, that would bring me back*.
My Aunt Zara told me that my cousin lost her parents at a tender age who is also part of our family and aunt Zara took my cousin in as her own. I don’t still know why they never talked about them. Aunt Zara also said that while she wanted to come and stay with my parents, my cousin found love in New Orleans and didn’t wish to come with her. After much convincing, she decided to leave my cousin there, making sure my cousin could take care of herself. And after some time, she heard nothing about my cousin but received only this letter.
Aunt Zara had searched and searched for my cousin but she couldn’t find her, she knew that she was close but still my cousin wasn’t found and my Dad ordered her to stop, saying that if the girl wanted to be found she would have been, because there was a time my dad also helped but no one got anything. It made Aunt Zara regret ever leaving my cousin there but it wasn’t her fault.
“But why didn’t any of you talk about them?” I pressed on.
“I don’t know Camille, it was a very sensitive topic and we were going to share it of course with you before everything happened. Keeping us apart” she explained with a sad look.
I held her hand, rubbing it soothingly, “it’s okay aunty, I’ll find her. Just show me everything”.
So I and my aunt Zara worked together to put some pieces together. My aunt had gotten close but where exactly my cousin had put herself in a deep sleep was were we couldn’t find or think off.
“This is everything I got Camille” I nodded my head seeing that. Everything looked great and they were all a great start but my cousin didn’t ever leave a trail.
“Did you by any chance go to your old house in New Orleans?” I asked, looking up at my aunt.
She only shooked her head indicating she hasn’t.
“What if my dear cousin of mine left something in your old home, like a sign or something to give us some information about her?” I stated thinking about it.
Aunt Zara also thought about it, nodding her head in agreement, “that can be right Camille, maybe the missing piece is somewhere in the house and since I didn’t go back, I never found it”.
“Aunty please book a flight for me now. I’m going to New Orleans”.
