CAMILLE’S POV :
I woke up to a cold splash of water on my face. My eyes flew open, and I immediately realized that I was tied to a chair. Panic set in as I struggled to free myself, but the ropes were too tight. I turned my head and John standing in front of me, a cruel smirk on his face.
“Why are you doing this? Why have you tied me up?” I asked, my voice firm.
The man sneered. “You’ll find out soon enough. But for now, just know that you’re here because I want something from you.”
My heart raced as I tried to think of a way out of this situation.
“Now tell me how you were able to get into that old house because the last time I checked no one had been able to go into that place for years and you just come and you could” he stated. Oh I see, so that was the problem. I didn’t say anything, just kept my mouth shut.
“Answer me!” He screamed at my face.
“Gross John, did you have to bathe me with your filthy spit” I said feeling so disgusted. What I said angered him, making me receive a blow to my face from him.
I laughed out loud staring at him, “you punch like a girl”.
He’s facial expression changed to a very angry one, making me burst out in laughter once more. He wouldn’t want to see me angry.
As he stormed towards me, I prepared for the worst. But as he pulled back his fist to strike me, I quickly used my head to wedge the blow and crack his finger.
The pain on his face was evident as he let out a scream and stumbled back. I took my chance, still tied to the chair, I stood up and came down on him with all my strength causing the chair to scatter and set me free.
I was finally free, the ropes that once bound me now lay in tatters on the floor. I stood up as my captor laid there unconscious.
I quickly checked my shoe to see if the key was still there and it was. I sighed in relieve. I take it that he should be a messenger for the witches because he smelt like a human. He was stupid to think he could go against me.
As I opened the door to leave the small room , I was face with two men who smelled like werewolves. So now they are also working with the witches.
I’ll be damned.
Without hesitation, I knew I had to fight. I really didn’t have time for their rubbish. The first man lunged towards me, but I quickly sidestepped him and delivered a swift kick to his where the sun shines and kneed him in his head, knocking him out. But his partner quickly stepped in to take his place.
Alright this one looked bigger, and I kicked him but he caught my leg. I tried pulling my leg out of his grip but it wouldn’t budge. The next thing I did was to use my other leg and kick him in the jaw, making him stumble backwards in pain as he left my leg.
While he was trying to regain himself, I jumped on him, twirling my body around his neck until I settled on his neck and started giving him punches on his head, he tried pulling me off but after the last punch, he collapsed. I stood up hurriedly and left the place, these people are sick. I only just got here today and they already wanna kill me.
I went back to my hotel but being careful to keep my guards up and check if I was being followed. I needed to find my cousin as soon as I can before the witches will decide to pay me their own personal visit.
I was exhausted and in need of some rest. I checked into my room and was pleased to find that it was exactly as as i kept it. I love the room, it was spacious and comfortable, with a large bed and a balcony that overlooked the city. I immediately went to the bathroom to freshen up and change into something more comfortable.
After I was refreshed, I decided to order dinner. I picked up the hotel phone and called the room service. I ordered a delicious salad, a bowl of pasta with tomatoes and basil, and a glass of red wine. I couldn’t wait to enjoy my dinner while relaxing on the balcony, watching the city lights.
A knock on the door signaled that my dinner had arrived. I opened the door to find a friendly room service employee with a tray full of food. I thanked the employee and tipped them before closing the door. The aroma of the food was tantalizing and I couldn’t wait to dig in.
I set the tray on the small table on the balcony and sat down to enjoy my dinner. The salad was crisp and refreshing, the pasta was cooked to perfection, and the wine was a perfect complement to the meal. As I ate, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for this moment of relaxation and the beautiful city that surrounded me. After I finished my meal, I sat back and enjoyed the rest of my evening, feeling content and happy.
Tomorrow is going to be a long day.
Next morning…
I woke up early and went to shower, after showering, I dressed up in a trouser and top, wore a light sneaker, took my phone and the key and went left the room.
I wasn’t even in the mood to get breakfast, maybe later. I took a walk to my aunt’s house, being careful not to be followed. I entered inside and locked it.
I started looking and searching through the house, it was dusty but I have to find something today. Then I saw one of the picture frame hung on the wall wasn’t straight and when I went to keep it right, it moved.
Hmm, I pushed it again and it moved out of the way, revelling a safe.
