Get the hell out of there

Book:The Forgotten Billionaire Published:2024-5-31

I’m currently so close to our company office that someone may mistake me for a spy. That’s probably what I’ll do here now, but I’m not sure how I’ll get into the workplace without anybody noticing. Randall is currently on his way to Charlotte to inform her of their engagement’s termination. I understand that many people are twisted, but it is preferable to their believing things that are not real.
I’m wearing a black-sleeved blouse, a white skirt, a black mask, and a black cap right now. I have the appearance of a Korean adolescent, but because I am slim, I have the appearance of a Chinese 24-year-old. I just hid behind a wall, watching the people come in and wondering how I was going to get inside. Furthermore, I don’t know anyone within Mr. Park, yet even he is someone I distrust and cannot rely on.
When a bunch of employees entered, I dashed towards them. They appear to come from break time solely to eat lunch. When I came near, I was in the center of them since they were in groups of 7 to 8 individuals, and I was certain that my presence would go unnoticed because my physique was little, so I blended in with them, and their loudness was drawing people’s attention.
When we got through HR, I split off with them and proceeded up the stairs. I know I’ll stink when I get to the top, but if I use the elevator, I could run across Archer. While I waited for the time, I began walking. Randall and Archer would meet at 1 PM to allow me to access my demon stepbrother’s office. I will not jump into this room when I don’t have a strategy.
I’m already on the 12th level, yet my spirit appears to have separated from my body as a result of my heavy breathing. I’d never used stairs before, so I didn’t expect it to be so tough to step on this one. It appears that not only will your soul be taken from you, but you will also lose your sanity as a result of your gasping. I raised my wrist to see the time. I sat on one of the steps and then relaxed.
It’s not even 12:30 p. m. yet. I believe I arrived early. I’ll relax for 30 minutes first, then check to make sure he’s gone.
I straightened up, having recovered from my nap, and noticed the time was 1:10 PM. I brushed off the dirt that had accumulated on my skirt and resumed my stroll. As I approached Archer’s right floor, I clutched the handrail.
Because the corporation was behind on this door, I took a few deep breaths beforehand.
I carefully opened the door and dropped my head to have a look around. Everyone is busy and runs their own business. I locked my gaze on the darkest room, which housed Archer’s office. He’s no longer there, so it appears Randall and he’s already at another firm.
I reached his office with haste. I knew it was a glass wall and that I couldn’t hide behind it, so I crouched beneath his desk and browsed through the drawers for whatever I could find. I opened everything, but regardless of what I looked for, all I found was the company’s usual issue. Since he had dismissed me here at the business, I picked one of the sheets and examined the data. Because of the persistent loss of money, sales, and finances have been fast falling. My brow furrowed.
I looked for another publication till I discovered mama Amelia’s data. I didn’t read it initially and instead placed it on the swivel chair to learn more. I was looking for the newspaper article regarding my parents’ demise, but I couldn’t find it.
Not only that, but I knelt and went away from the table, afraid that someone might notice me, but his office was at the far end, so no one was passing by. I spotted my workplace before I could flee. The nameplate was no longer there, so I returned to Archer’s desk, and it was as if my heart had been crushed, and I averted my gaze when I saw what the name on the nameplate was.
Chief Executive Officer Mr. Archer Williams
My fists were clenched. He stripped me of our company’s rights, and I couldn’t do anything since I lacked sufficient proof to topple him. I had barely returned to court when my phone rang, and I saw Randall calling. I scowled because he had time to contact me while being with Archer and Charlotte.
“Hello-” I couldn’t finish what I was saying, since he cut it short because he was in a rush to talk. My brows came together.
“Get the hell out of there! Archer was in a rush to go back there, so I believe someone spotted you!” His speech was exhausted, and he was moving so fast you believed he was walking. I panicked and didn’t know where to go because Archer’s minions could have already surrounded me.
“Hurry up because it looks like some of his guards are already around you!” was the last thing he said before the line went dead, and I heard the rumble of his car.
