It’s as though I’m dancing because I’m not sure where to put my feet. Whether I goes straight for the elevator or up the stairs, I knew Archer’s minions were already there. When I saw everyone running, I knew my stepbrother was close behind. I wanted to contact Randall for assistance, but I knew there was nothing he could do. I didn’t ponder any longer and went up the steps, knowing that was all I had to go through.
When I rushed out to meet a large group of people, I tripped and became trapped in my stomach as a result of my rapid sitting. Because of what I had done, it felt as if someone had stepped on my stomach. As she typed on the keyboard, the woman on the swivel chair gazed at me. She was taken aback by my quick sitting up, and I hoped she wouldn’t notice.
I spotted Archer walking in with large steps. With the additional edge he stares at people, he appears to be capable of killing them. Because there were already men gazing about, I peered behind me. They seemed to be seeking me. I hid even further behind the table. Being little may be a blessing at times.
“Ssshhh,” I said, putting my finger to my lips to stop her from reacting and pointing to the computer so she could keep working. She looked around first, and it appeared that she realized men were looking for me, so she went on. I simply hope she knew who I was even though there was more to my face.
Where Mommy Amelia’s information was on the paper I was holding was already crumpled. I just knelt and summoned a slew of saints. I took courage as I remained and the men looked unwilling to go. I initially touched the woman and opened my mouth to say “Thank you.” but she didn’t hear me since she had read my lips.
I stepped away from the woman and got up, but nothing happened. The other employee was gazing at me since my outfit stuck out. The mask over my face conceals my face, ensuring that I will not be identified in the end. I nearly closed my eyes since both of my hands were on my sides and my palm was already sweating.
When a guy saw me and approached me, I came to a halt. He peered at me and studied every inch of me from head to toe. When the employee’s gaze vanished, I resumed walking. When we got to a spot where no one was around, he pulled out a gun and about stole my breath away. He pressed the pistol against my cheek. As a result, I was perspiring tremendously.
My eyes suddenly ached because the sweat had already gone to my eyes. My face was raised as my eyes were just staring at the gun, I was afraid he would fire it. Archer had already given them a gun so there was a chance he wanted to kill me.
“Remove your mask.” The man ruled me and even more gripped the mouth of the gun on my jaw.
I was gently removing the mask from my lips when someone yanked it back and dragged me back to my mouth. When I turned to face the man I was speaking with, I noticed he was splayed on the floor, while Randall’s guard raised his hand. I’m not sure what he did to the man. When I glanced around, Randall had a breathless expression on his face.
“Archer isn’t going to catch us. So let’s get going.”
He had just indicated that when suddenly; we were about to be encircled by a large number of armed guys.
He slammed the door shut, and it rang loudly because it was made of metal. He forced me to flee from them. I’m not sure whether they spotted us, but I’m sure they did because the one upstairs and the one downstairs both had guns pointing at us. We rushed despite the fact that I was practically slipping on the excessively slick floor.
“STOP! SHIT!”
When we heard the scream in the hallway and the sound of the gun, I turned around as Randall was just straight on dragging. I saw a guard holding a gun and pointing at us.
He was about to shoot when we were in front of the elevator and it opened. The employees came out. They were the ones who saved Randall and me. I don’t know what happened to Archer’s minion anymore because we were already on the elevator and the employee had already stormed the hallway. I would have almost slumped inside the elevator if Randall hadn’t just grabbed me by the waist. He held me tight so I wouldn’t fall over.
It was pure luck that I didn’t drop the paper I was clutching earlier while we raced. I concealed it in my like so Randall wouldn’t find it. He stared at me, not saying anything, as if he was frightened of what happened. I yanked his hand so he can give me attention. He gazed at me with fear and apprehension.
I still can’t promise that he won’t worry about me because of my rush. But I’ll do my best to calm him down. I smiled at him to assure him that everything was fine, folded our hands, and the elevator door opened.
When we arrived home, Ava and Randle were sitting in the living room, and Ava’s daughter was watching while eating popcorn. I approached Randle intending to kiss him. Ava lifted an eyebrow at me as if waiting for me to say something. She already knew about Randall’s mother, but Turstin didn’t since I told her that if she could, she should not tell him first. I trembled since Randall was just behind us, and I didn’t want us to be shocked by the papers I was carrying, so I avoided it with him.
“Daddy!” Randle jumped up and walked away from the sofa, and when he approached Randall-Randall lifted him and kissed him. Randle wrapped his arms around his father’s neck and kissed his father on the cheek several times.
“Dad!” Randle points outside and tells Randall he wants to go out. I turned to Ava and we looked at each other. I immediately got what she wanted to convey.
“Why don’t you play in the garden first, Randall? It appears that you have time because you are constantly at work.” I lied to him, but the fact is that I simply wanted to read the paper with Ava. I returned my sight to him, who was already beaming.
He nodded and went away as we exchanged eyes. Ava didn’t bring her baby because she didn’t want her to cry and then go back to Randall, maybe interrupting us. I unfolded the paper I found and read what was written on it.
The previous ones are only normal since they concern mommy Amelia’s personal information, but the next thing I read explains why someone appears to have taken my soul from me.
I looked at Ava pale and even she couldn’t believe what I was reading.
