Chapter 104

“My dear Alphas, I do not know you all but I wonder what it is I have done to deserve your hatred. Why you all want to destroy me,” Alpha Jax said.
“Survival is key, Alpha Jax. Survival,” an Alpha replied.
“And how does the end of me or my pack assure your survival. Which of you have I attacked in years.”
“The circle of power needs to change. It’s over three hundred years and your pack still holds the upper hand. There needs to be change in power,” the Alpha replied.
“Your argument is philosophical, and I see reason in it. But I don’t think I will agree with you. I will say war is not the answer. We can…”
“Why? Why is war not the answer? Is it because the great Bond moon pack does not have enough resources to defeat us? You never negotiate?”
“Oh we do, just that you don’t see us do it. My father would always negotiate. He does not appreciate war every time. He tried to make others reason with him but some Alphas always try to betray him. And my father was never merciful to betrayers. And you should know best sir. I know you. You fought with him,” he pointed towards an elder Alpha.
“And that’s why I am here today boy, to make sure that I atone for the wars I fought for him,” the elder Alpha replied.
“Stallone Deal, we have a business together. We have a deal. And I assure you, if you will listen to me, the bond between us will be stronger than ever, if you give peace chance to reign,” Alpha Jax begged Stallone Deal. Stallone did not say anything. Other Alphas look at him.
“Well, I don’t suppose I can make peace with all of you. Or none of you. But I know one person I can surely make peace with. Alpha Shane Moss, what do you?” Alpha Jax said. Shane Moss walked forward a bit. He stood before the Alphas.
“My Alphas and honourable members of the free wolf…”
“Ah! This is a trap. It’s a betrayal,” An Alpha screamed. He readied his body to switch. Others did too. Alpha Jax and his council members did not move.
“It’s not a betrayal. It’s not. I only have a truth to announce,” Shane said. Shane Moss walked to their front.
“I know the amount of hatred we all have for Alpha Jax. It’s something that maybe only his death can account for. But you should listen to why I started this war initially. It was all to save a very good friend of mine. He is a friend like not other. He is one that gives me joy and hope, and according to the tradition of my pack, he is my mate. Alpha Jax took him away from me when I was still a beta to my former Alpha. My Alpha gave him willingly. I killed my Alpha for it. And Alpha Stallone can attest to this that I never wanted to rule. I once told him like I told you all that you can share the pack spoils amongst yourselves. And that’s it my Alpha. I and Alpha Jax were able to discuss things out. He apologized and returned my mate to me. Thus, I think we should all end this war. If we let Alpha Jax know where he has hurt us, I am sure he will apologize for them all,” Shane Moss said. All the Alphas began murmuring amongst themselves, except Stallone Deal.
Stallone Deal knows it’s a lost cause to still openly antagonize Alpha Jax. He does not want the truth of what happened with his daughter to be announced. He knows other Alphas and the rogue wolves won’t be cool with that. He watch as Alpha Jax apologize to other Alphas, after Shane convinced them. He apologized to the rogue wolves. They did not say anything. Stallone knows they must have same reason not to antagonize Alpha Jax. They are grossly outnumbered.
Stallone Deal looked at Shane Moss and regretted the day he agreed to strike the deal with him. Stallone looks at Alpha Jax. Their eyes met, and Alpha Jax comes to him.
“You so much expect me to say the truth, don’t you?” Alpha Jax said.
“What truth?”
“You stand here listening to each Alpha complaining, stating why they hate me or why they want war with me. And you listen to these rogue wolves complain too. They said I keep sex slaves and that I killed one of their own. They said I kidnapped your daughter from you. And you said it too. You had me apologize for kidnapping your daughter. But you know that’s not the truth,” Alpha Jax said. Stallone did not say anything.
“Don’t worry, I will forgive you as I will announce a proposal you will appreciate.”
“What proposal?” Stallone asked.
“Listen attentively,” he ordered. Alpha Jax moved away, and Stallone cursed him.
“Dear Alphas and members of the free wolf. To show how apologetic I am, and how I never meant to hurt anyone, I will make a proposal which will serve as end of the war and a gesture of goodwill between me and Alpha Stallone,” Alpha Jax said. Stallone wondered what it is.
“It will strengthen the relationship between our packs and hopefully prevent any other bad blood. And here it is,” he cleared his throat.
“I, Alpha Jax of the bond moon pack, in gesture of goodwill asked Ava Deal, daughter of Alpha Stallone Deal to be my wife and Luna, just as she has been rightly acclaimed by the goddess. She said yes. Hence, I invite you all to my wedding which will take place here, on there grounds where we come to peace. The wedding shall be a celebration of peace and of love,” Alpha Jax announced.
“Such mockery,” Alpha Stallone Deal cursed again.
