“I think you are right,” Shane Moss agreed to Alpha Jax after argument.
“Don’t worry. It won’t be for long. I will come back as soon as I can,” Shane Moss promised Benjamin.
“He is a man. He dare not weep like a woman,” Alpha Jax hit Benjamin’s shoulder lightly. They all smiled. Shane Moss nodded to Alpha Jax and he turned to leave. He has to return to his pack undetected.
After Shane Moss left, Benjamin and Alpha Jax remained in the room. Alpha Jax was leaving.
“My Alpha,” Benjamin called. Alpha Jax turned around.
“Thank you,” Benjamin said.
“For?”
“Accepting to solve this issue without us resolving to war. To be honest, if it comes to war, I doubt Shane Moss and his alliance with the devils can stop you,” Benjamin praised Alpha Jax.
“It’s nothing. Listen, I am not a monster most people must have make me to be. Agreed I make mistakes. Hell, I make errors, but I have my reasons for making them. My twisted reasons,” Alpha Jax said.
“I know.”
“And to be honest, I had no reason for taking you back then. I just wanted to. I did not do it for anyone to spite me. I did not do it to hurt you or him. I just wanted to. I know I said it’s a gesture of goodwill between me and the then Alpha, but I don’t think that’s why I did it. It was impulsive,” Alpha Jax chuckled.
“I think I have to ask you to forgive me one more time. And you have been useful. Really efficient I must say. The pack will miss you,” Alpha Jax smiled.
“And I will miss the pack too. But now I can always come here. Even though I was brought here against my will, here has become my home. And I am sorry I tried taking Ava away from you,” Benjamin apologized.
“It’s nothing, Ben. Let just pray your Alpha succeed. If we end this war, then we will have time to talk well.”
“Hopefully my Alpha,” Benjamin smiled. They hugged. Alpha Jax turned and left his room.
“How could Benjamin have done this the first and second time,” Shane Moss whispered to himself. He tried reaching his camp by not being seen by guards of Alpha Jax who are yet to receive decree that he is not a threat. And he must avoid being caught by his own guards too. He hid and would wait for minutes before running. He thought of knocking down some of his allies’ guard. But it might be misunderstood as an act of hostility. So he has to hide from them.
“Not easy,” Shane Moss whispered again. He kept hiding and running till he got to his camp. First person he saw was Alpha Stallone Deal.
“Ah! Do you take walks when you are most needed?”
“It helps me calm my nerves,” Shane Moss replied.
“Same thing I came to do here. Mine is not because I am anxious. It’s because I am trying not to step on your toes by killing that Zeeb bastard you sent to Alpha Jax palace,” Stallone Deal fumed.
“What did he do?”
“He arrived minutes ago. He won’t give a report to the Alphas. We told him you were no where to be found but he said he would rather wait till eternity for you,” Stallone Deal replied. Shane Moss knows Zeeb is trying to get to talk to Omarr and the others. Then come back to give a false report. He smiled within himself.
“Ah! My bad. I will talk to him. And we will come together. Don’t worry Stallone Deal, he will apologize,” Shane Moss said and he went to his camp.
Zeeb explained to Omarr, Adal, Rudolf and the others what happened within the walls of Alpha Jax pack. They all agreed to play by whatever plan they have formulated and wait till Shane Moss and Alpha Jax comes out of the Bond Moon pack.
“Plans are changed, and will no longer work that way,” Shane Moss interrupted them. Zeeb looks shocked just like others.
“You are supposed to be in there,” Zeeb confronted him.
“Like I said, plans changed,” Shane Moss finished a cup of wine.
“To what?”
“Alpha Jax thinks it might be overwhelming for you to control our pack’s soldier. Higher council members might not listen to you, but they will listen to me. So he thinks I should come here and when the first bell should strike in four hours time. Well, maybe we have three hours left now, we should start coming towards his pack, with the intent of war. And during that moment of final negotiation before the declaration of total war, then, we will tell other Alphas about the peace we came to and hopefully we end the war,” Shane said.
“That plans look like it has so many flaws, but I am too worked up to come with a better one, so I say we go with it,” Zeeb said.
“Or is it because you don’t have a better plan?” Odolf teased.
When Alpha Jax appeared outside a minute after the bell struck, Shane Moss and the other Alphas, with five other representatives of the Rogue pack walk towards them. Other werewolf soldiers stayed back. They all look ready and eager for the war.
“Alpha Stallone, I never in years to come expect that you will wage war against me,” Alpha Jax said.
“There is a saying that, never put your hopes too high, and disappointment won’t hurt you too much when it comes. But I don’t expect you to know it,” Alpha Stallone Deal replied.
“And rogue wolves, did the court not vindicate me? I do not understand why league of werewolves chose not to obey the law meant to regulate witches, werewolves and humans,” Alpha Jax said.
“You broke the law first, and we are here to repair it,” Alpha Tmeon better said, and Tmeon scoffed. Alpha Jax noticed.
