“Listen, I have done it. I have changed the bottle from what Jax is usually taking to something my mother and some priestess prepared. It’s supposed to have same taste and same smell but different effect in Alfa Jax. You know what it is?” Lily asked Ava.
“No. I haven’t seen you all these while. I thought you ran away,” Ava replied.
“I am sorry I had to leave immediately I got my hands on them. He has been taking wolfsbane, and something concocted together. It is supposed to make him not fall in love. He has been killing himself slowly,” Lily told Ava three months ago.
“I hope this works on him,” Ava pray.
“It will. I just need your help. Promise me you will care for him. And you will wait till the effect of the wolfsbane goes off. Believe me, my brother is not evil. Please. Promise me you will not leave my brother for anyone. Please!” Lily had begged Ava three months ago.
What got to Ava, and why she accepted to wait was not because she had any special love for Alpha Jax. She did love him too, but at that moment, she pitied him. She wonder what exactly might have happened to make him hate women this much. Ava felt there was no need to hate Alpha Jax in return. He is someone who gave love and was betrayed. He received hatred in the place of love. And it’s wrong to keep giving him love.
Ava wants to help him. She wanted to help him. She hopes he change. As she sits down on her bed and Benjamin keeps licking her, she prays Alpha Jax changes. She wants him to change. Her only mate.
Hours later, Ava walked out of her bedroom. She had missed both Alpha Jax and Benjamin. She plans to pass through Alpha Jax office, so she could at least hear him talk. Then she would go to Benjamin. She saw other sex slaves walking around the corridor, some were having fun and others were talking. She walked towards Alpha Jax door.
“Where are you headed?” A voice asked behind her. It’s a female voice and it’s not a very relatable voice. She turned around and saw another sex slave.
“And how is that your business?”
“My bad,” the sex slave apologized and walk away. Ava kept walking towards Alpha Jax door. And when she got close to his door, Alpha Jax’s door opened and he came out. There was no place she could hide around. If she was to run back, he would see her and that might bring more troubles.
Their eyes met. Ava bow down immediately.
“Good day, my Alpha,” he did not reply. He looked forward and kept walking. She noticed something awkward in his walking step. His stride improved. From somewhere she does not know, she felt some courage within her, and she raised her head. Alpha Jax had walked past her, and she called him again.
“My Alpha, can I speak with you?” She asked him.
“Yes, Ava? What is it?” He asked her too. He did not turn to look at her. And it’s disrespectful for her to talk behind him. Talking behind an Alpha could have you hanged. It is translated that if you have such courage to talk behind an Alpha, you could plot against an Alpha. She ran to his front.
“It’s nothing much my lord, just a little thing I noticed,” Ava said, surprised at her own courage in speaking to Alpha Jax.
“Speak,” he replied. Maybe it is the softness and calmness of his voice that makes him approachable.
“I have been coming to your office as of recent, whenever it is my duty, to satisfy you. I barely meet you at office. I never do for the past three months. I hope everything is alright and I have not offended you. If I have offended you, My lord, I hope you can forgive me,” Ava now. Alpha Jax sighed.
“Ava, would you… um… would you raise your head?” Alpha Jax shudders. His voice breaks. He cleared his throat. Ava raised his head and looked at him.
“It’s nothing. I just felt like I might relieve you,” Alpha Jax said.
“Oh! My Lord, relieve me? I am yours to use,” Ava reminded him.
“You are usually rebellious Ava, this you is interesting. Don’t worry, it’s nothing wrong,” Alpha Jax said and he hurriedly left her presence.
Ava smiled. She wanted to jump but had to control her impulse. She clenched her first together. It’s unbelievable what just happened. Ava walked as calm as she came and returned to her room.
“Yes! Fucking yes! Good goddess! What have you done?” Ava raised her hands up in the sky. She could not believe she felt relieved talking to Alpha Jax after a very long time or rather for the first time in her life. She sat on her hed remembering everything that happened between her and Alpha Jax.
“Lily needs to get back soon. Lily needs to come back. I can’t believe this is happening,” Ava laughed around her room.
“What is it?” Benjamin asked one of the sex slaves around the court.
“I have something to tell you,” she replied. She is one of the sex slaves Benjamin ordered to keep twatch over Ava. They are to tell Benjamin if Ava should leave her room or if Alpha Jax comes to her room.
“In return, I want two nights with Alpha Jax outside of my own schedule,” she bargained.
“Will you speak bitch? Don’t I know how to repay you? Or is this the first time we are working together?” Benjamin frowned at her.
“Who is it about? Ava or what?” Benjamin asked again.
“It’s Ava! I saw her leave her room. She went to Alpha Jax office but they met on the road, and they talked,” as she reported, Benjamin dropped his book and the pen he was writing with. She stood up.
“What kind of discussion?”
“I could not eavesdrop, but it was not for long. She returned to her room feeling satisfied. She seems happy. And when she returned to her room, she said she can’t wait for Lily,” the sex slave reported.
“Is that all?”
“Yes, that’s it.”
“Thanks. Be gone,” Benjamin ordered.
“Will I get chance with Alpha Jax? Two extra chances?”
