“This bitch should leave me for the love of God!” Alpha Jax prays immediately Ava began talking to him. He has not seen her in a long time. He does not understand the claim that she is not usually meeting him at his office whenever it’s her turn to satisfy him. Alpha Jax wondered why it is so. Why will he be avoiding her? He wondered if the days he avoided her, are nights he either goes hunting or go to the county Club.
Immediately Ava left him, he walked away and went towards the corner of his court. He hid there and peep at Ava for a moment and when she left, he returned to his office.
“What was that? What on God’s green earth happened back there?” Alpha Jax paced around his room. He does not believe an Alpha like him could ever get to hide away from a woman like her.
“Goddess! I am running mad. I am really running mad. I am becoming weak, and everything is happening at the wrong time,” Alpha Jax cried. He hit his wall repeatedly. He could not have been scared of her. No, it was not fear. He was uncomfortable around her. He was shy around her. It was respect, and what is it with his heart beating repeatedly. He laughed at how pitiful he must have been when he was with her.
“Do you remember the dream you had?” Rama reached out to him while Alpha Jax was questioning what happened to him.
“What dream?” He asked Rama.
“The one where your father told you you needed love. And when you woke up, you were wondering who it is that you needed to love to tetlst your father’s theory. You wanted to know maybe if you met the right person, you might fall in love and that would strengthen you against the coming tribulations. You remember?” Rama asked him.
“No! It cannot be Ava. Ava cannot be the one to love. I cannot love her and you know why. It’s wrong and against everything,” Alpha Jax said.
“Wrong against what? Against the principles you created?” Rama asked him.
“She is a sex slave!”
“And you made her that!” Rama replied.
“This girl had love us and respected us from the very first day she came to this house, but how did you treat her? Like trash! You made her what she is not! And you have been killing me to deny yourself of reality,” Rama said. Alpha Jax grabbed his head. He fell on his knees.
“No!”
“Think about it. Think about everything you ever did to her. Which of them did she deserve. Alpha Jax, she is your mate, and you will give her the chance. You will also give yourself the chance to love her and be loved too. If not, I will desert you. I will kill myself and make you an empty and ordinary human,” Rama threatened.
“You dare not!”
“I will Jax, I swear I will. When it comes to it, I will,” Rama replied.
Alpha Jax carried the potion and drank it without mixing. He took so many gulp. It’s supposed to shut his mind down. Shut his wolf’s ability and made him back to what he was. He drank it. His wolf did not say anything else, and Alpha Jax fainted.
He woke up screaming from his dream. He had a scary dream. A normal dream but only scary to him because of his perception. The dream reminded him of his conversation with the witch in the dream he had earlier today. Where once he heard the witch threaten Ava, he grabbed her. He made the witch tremble. He warned her against such, else there would be consequences.
“Rama! Rama!!” Alpha Jax called on his wolf.
“Yes, Jax?”
“If you think what our father told me in my dream is true, how do I go about it. How do I start to relate with Ava. I cannot bring myself to talk to her,” Alpha Jax said.
“You can. You can talk to her. You just have to let go of every pride in you,” Rama advised.
“You know, just as if our conscience has decided to punish me, I feel guilty for how I must have treated her in the past. The things I must have said to her. How I raped her, how I slapped her. Everything coming back to my memory now, is giving me headache and it hurts,” Alpha Jax said.
“I know. It hurts that I could not threaten you then. My wolf will was not string enough to do so,” Rama confessed.
“And what makes it strong now?”
“I don’t even know. I guess, its same thing that is wrong with us,” Rama said. Alpha Jax left his couch and sit on his floor.
“If you think it will be worth it, how do we begin talking to her? How do I claim my mate?” Alpha Jax asked.
“How about we begin by apologizing? Let her know you are sorry for everything you have done so far. Every single way you must have hurt her.”
“And after that?” Alpha Jax asked.
“You will ask her to marry you, to be your Luna,” Rama answered.
“But she said she would marry, Benjamin, and I already said she should if she wants.”
“You will release him to go and meet his Alpha. His mate, Shane Moss,” Rama advised Alpha Jax.
“The same person who has been trying to kill me? The Shane Moss who is just few steps away from declaring war against me,” Alpha Jax complained.
“Then keep him somewhere. Listen, if you like it or not, it’s better you get her before Shane attacks. First, it would help get your thoughts together, and you can fuel our strength with Love,” Rama advised.
“I will try my best to get her back. I will put my all in it,” Alpha Jax promised. Even though truth be told, he has no idea on how to start a conversation with her. He feels if pride does not make him ruin it, then his shyness would ruin it.
This feeling in his mind brings back memories. Memories he hates. Memories that put him through hard time. The beginning of his love with Natalie. Even though the love ended tragically, Alpha Jax hopes this doesn’t end that way. He knows it won’t.
