Alpha Jax left the hotel with less grace than he came in. When he came down, those partying stopped dancing and he walked towards the bar.
“They are all scared of you,” the bar man said. Alpha Jax looked at him. He could have asked him what about him but he is not in for long discussion.
“Give me a shot of tequila,” Alpha Jax said. The barman looked at Alpha Jax. Alpha Jax has his eyes on his bottle and was not interested in whatever was going on around him. But he noticed the bar man did not move. He raised his head at him. He saw the barman looking at him with pity.
“Did you hear my request?”
“Yeah! I do,” the barman hurried away from him. He brought out a bottle of tequila and poured it into a glass. Alpha Jax collected it immediately. He drank it at once. He asked for another.
“Don’t worry, just give me the fucking bottle,” Alpha Jax ordered the barman. Alpha Jax took a large gulp. Those partying before he came already began dancing. But they stayed far away from him. Alpha Jax stood and and went towards the door.
“Add it to my fucking tab,” he said and left the hotel.
Right outside, he saw protesters still looking at him with disgust. He ignored them and went to his car. He drove off without any incident.
He returned to his pack. He parked his car in his garage. He cleaned his face of sweat and try to look lovely despite the tiredness he feels deep within himself.
“My Alpha, welcome back, Lord,” the guards greeted him. He nodded and kept walking. He got to the corridor that leads to his office and his sister came right out of his office. She saw him already. It was too late for him to turn back. She ran towards him.
“Jax?” She called him.
“Ah! Sister. You are back from your pilgrimage,” he said.
“So it appears,” she waited right before his office and he walks towards her.
“How is mother?”
“Furious!”
“Let’s not start. I am not asking about her emotions. I am asking of her health,” he smiled.
“She is fine, she sends her greetings,” she said. She hugged him immediately he got close. She pushed him back immediately with some force.
“What’s that on you?” She asked.
“Sister! Things happened today. Weird things. And it’s wolfsbane,” he held the bottle tighter.
“Oh! You will tell me all of them. What’s that you are holding?”
“Tequila!”
“Why can’t I smell it?”
“Don’t worry. You never like the taste of it so maybe you lost the sense of how it smell because you don’t like it?”
“Come on! How does that sound to you yourself,” she smiled and hit him playfully.
“Your slaves are looking too much. Let’s go inside before they kill me. And fuck all of you for eavesdropping on me. Why don’t you eavesdrop on your Alpha,” Lily cursed the sex slaves peeping through their window.
Both of them went in.
“First, will you start by explaining why your toilet stink the way it does?” She asked.
“Forget that first, I killed someone at the county hotel by mistake,” he told her.
“What?” Lily screamed.
“It was a former member of our pack who became a rogue pack member,” he said.
“And what happened?”
“Well, the usual happened. They call a meeting on me and I was vindicated though,” he explained.
“That must explain why you have a foul ordor around you. How do you feel?” She moves closer to him.
“Weak. Tired. Want to sleep.”
“Hold on, where did you go so early in the morning,” she asked him.
“Well, some personal business.”
“What sort of business?”
“Personal business.”
“Really? And will you explain what you had in your bathroom. The foul odor that weakens me,” she said.
“Sister please I need to sleep,” he replied her.
“Then you should answer me. I hope you are not doing something you will regret,” she commented. He raised his head and looked at her.
“I won’t.”
“I was hoping not to relay mother’s message but it can’t be helped,” Lily said.
“She wants me to get a wife right?”
“Yes! Hasn’t that always been the bone of contention?” Lily snapped.
“I have a question bfor both of you. Why didn’t she get married after dad’s deat. And you, why aren’t you married? Why aren’t there men here asking for you hands in marriage,” Alpha Kax said calmly with his head on the sofa.
“This is not about me?” She replied.
“Why didn’t mother not marry? See both of you should ease off my back. I will marry if and when I want alright?” Please don’t…” Alpha Jax Tommy growled and he rushed to the bathroom. He locked the door behind him. He reached and vomitted black substance.
“Are you okay?” His sister asked. She is surprised. Aloha Jax quickly cleaned himself. Flushed the toilet and came out. He took a glass and poured water for himself. He drank the water and dropped on the sofa he stood up from.
“Are you okay?” She asked on more time.
“Yeah, I am good?”
“No! You are not good. How are you good when you just rushed to the toilet to vomit. Is the wolfsbane they used today reacting?” She asked.
“No! I don’t think it’s the wolfsbane. But don’t worry, I am fine,” he assured her.
“Okay! I believe you. But if it start getting more awkward, I might have to call mother,” Lily warned.
“I will be fine!” He snapped. She kept silent.
“Sorry. But honestly I will be fine. I just need rest,” he apologized to her. She nodded and restricted from asking him anything again. The door to the office opened up and Benjamin walk in.
“Good day my Alpha. Good day, Lady Lily,” Benjamin now before both of them.
