Alpha Jax woke up. His eyes hurt and his nose stings. He does not have an idea of what time it is. He sneezed. He put his hands on his face, but the powder is cleaned from his face. She smiled at him and moved closer. He crawled away from her.
“Don’t be scared Alpha. If you don’t have the intent to hurt me, my defense instinct will not activate. So let’s calm down and discuss like grown people,” she said. Alpha Jax does not know her. He does not even believe a word she is saying. But he knows he is powerless against her. He has no other choice than to listen to her. He has to calm himself. Not even in his current situation should he try to fight her.
“What do you want?” He asked in fear. But he kept eye contact with her.
“Like I said earlier on, I will be the one asking you,” she replied.
“What do you want from me? And how is it possible that Arath sent me to you?” Alpha Jax growl, but he did not make any threatening gestures. The only thing that could have been threatening must be his voice.
“Do you not hear a word I said. Or do you have hearing impairment?” She replied him. Alpha Jax got irritated. Even though he knows he cannot do anything against her. He sat down without saying anything. Both of them kept staring at each other.
Alpha Jax was only studying her so he could find a weak point that he could attack from. But he saw how meticulous she is. Her hands were ready to form signs. There is continuous twitching in her left hand. The one she waved the other time. If truly, her left hand is to trigger the defence instinct or whatever it was, he knows that would be the thing to be studying.
Alpha Jax kept looking at her eyes and her she did not look away. He broke the momentum by relaxing on the chair.
“Good!” She smiled.
“Why have you come looking for Arath?” She asked calmly.
“There was a deal that both of us agreed on, it’s time that we renew it and that’s why I sought her,” he replied with his hands scratching his head and his head fixed on the ceiling.
“Hmmm! I see. I think I know what it is,” she said. Alpha Jax raised his head slowly.
“Really?” He asked. She looked at him wide eyed, broad smile and nodded. Alpha Jax quickly extended his leg and kicked the table before her. He kicked it towards her left hand and he dived to the right. With super speed, he punched her. He saw her fall and blood gushing out of her nose. He blinked, smiled and opened his eyes.
He saw her far away from him. She is sat on the table, with a smile on her face. And almost immediately, a sharp pain hit him. His nose hurt, and his head bang. He looked right below himself and saw the ground full of blood.
“What is this?” He groaned.
“Ah! You are back. I thought you were not going to wake for the next thirty minutes. It’s been right minutes since you passed out,” she said. He looked around. He is amazed at what happened. He can not believe it. How could he be on the ground and with a broken nose. He punched her. He saw her fly away. He pinched himself.
“Don’t worry, you are not dreaming. You have never been more awake in your life. Well, maybe except the day you became an Alpha. But you are awake. The only little problem is you are under my illusion. So whatever you do or want to do, I can see it projected on you. So, I don’t think you should try to do anything else. The wolfsbane in you might start kicking in if you expend too much of your energy!” She advised him. He stood up from where he was and moved slowly towards her.
“Who are you?” He asked weakly.
“Ah! I thought I am supposed to be the one asking. Well, I can’t control what you say despite you being in my illusion. It’s only your physical reaction and what pose a threat to me that I can see,” she stood up and stretched a bit.
“But since you asked and you seem interested in knowing who I am, I think it’s only proper that I introduce myself,” she said. She cracked her knuckles. She made few gestures with her hands, and the room became dark. It became red. And it became vast. It felt like they were outside on a big field. Alpha Jax looked around.
“I am Lady Fey. Witch of the void. The immortal witch. The witch whose knowledge and sense of perception transcend even the gods,” she whispered, and her voice echoes. The room returned back to normal.
“Wheeeew! I enjoy doing that a lot,” she sighed.
