Before anyone else close to Alpha Jax’s office woke up, Alpha Jax was already awake. He could barely sleep with the heavy chest he is having. He realised that not having his Wolfsbane potion with him has made life quite unbearable for him.
For starters, he has been wanting to meet Ava more. The thought of her is what helps him get pass his day best. He no longer has deep memory of the cursed woman who broke his heart. At times during the past few weeks that his potion finished, he would wake up and begin muttering Ava’s name. By the time he will come to his senses, he would start cursing her.
And secondly without the potion, breathing has become hard. There is this heaviness in his chest. Like a large lump had grown. And the only cure would have to be the potion. At random times, his heart would skip a beat. He would have to wait for some moments to regain his breath.
Alpha Jax knows what he has to do. He would have to go look for the old witch who helped him get his potion. He needs to see her. Even though he no longer hates Ava like he use to. He does not have the bas to accept her as his mate.
“What is happening to me?” He asked himself when he realised that he is concerned about what emotions Ava has towards him. He try to caution his thoughts, but most times they just wander to the extent that he wish he could be with Ava. Or that he wish he could put away all these sex slaves and be with the only one person fated with him.
Early this morning, he stood up and walked towards his cupboard. He felt the lump in his chest getting heavier. And he became nauseated. He rushed down to the toilet and he vomitted a large amount of unknown substance. He had never seen it, but it smells horrible. He flushed it. And as he was cleaning his mouth, the heaviness in his chest came again. He retched. And he vomitted blood.
“What is this? How bad is it going to get?” He prayed. He cleaned his mouth and his face. He removed the cloth he had on. He cleaned his blood stains on the wall. He left the toilet hurriedly. The stink of his vomit was unbearable.
“Good goddess!” He prayed. He put on another cloth and went out of his office. He stood right outside and looked towards Ava’s room.
Alpha Jax knows his problem and what he can do to solve it. He needed to get back to the witch who first gave him the potion. A potion that was supposed to stop him from falling in love further with any woman or female werewolves. It has turned out that he cannot survive without it. And the potion is not something that has a long time effect. It wears off nearly every time he sees Ava. Or that’s what he believes.
Alpha Jax went to his garage. He sat in his car for a few minutes. Dozing and angry. Mad at himself for having had to hurt himself this much. It’s just now that he has discovered that in his hatred for women, he has hurt himself and became obsessed with drugs. Except this is not the normal drug humans take.
He has allowed his obsession for revenge to take his joy. He has allowed his hatred to get the best of him. He brought his car key from his pocket and hit the ignition. The car roared to life. The halogen bulb he had fixed in his car brought perfect illumination to the road before him. He drove out of the garage and right before him were five guards.
“Ho!” They called at him. They were all half transformed and had their spears with them.
“Will you guys stand down?” He growled sharply. They put down their spears and transformed back to their human form.
“My Alpha! Where are you headed this night? Do you need any company?” The leader of the guards asked. He looked at his wrist watch and it is six pm. It’s quite unusual for Alpha Jax to want to go out at such time.
“Only thing I need,” he said but he stopped when he felt the same heaviness he felt earlier.
“No one should leave the pack till I am back. And no one should come in,” he said. Alpha Jax drove off immediately. He could not risk being caught puking such thing from himself.
He went further from the pack. He got to a T-junction. One from where he came, the one to the left leads to the Night-wolf pack. He would have to pass some little packs before he got there. And to the right is the human territory. He turned right while still looking at his rear mirror, fearing someone from the Night-wolf pack might be on him.
Alpha Jax arrived to the hotel where he once met the witch. It was already eight. The day is bright and people are walking all around. The destination between his pack and the hotel is usually within an hour, but because he stopped at intervals to vomit whatever it was that is coming out of him. The only reason he has not puked for the past thirty minutes was the fact that he stopped and drank water from a lake he saw. And he felt hungry too. There were some fruits he saw growing on a tree. He did not even care if they were edible or not. He ate all he could. He believed his body would remove whatever toxin is in them.
And now that he no longer feels the heaviness in his chest, all he has left in him was anger. He feels disappointed in himself. He knew the old witch might ask him for some sacrifices like she did before. And now he is ready to pay them just like he did. But when he entered the hotel, he saw someone to vent his anger on. Someone who would receive all the wrath in him, and he dished it out the best way he could.
