“Wash… wash… clothes?”
Hanh was somewhat dumbfounded.
Marie Linton, who had originally planned to make a long list of excessive demands before she would forgive Robin, was also taken aback and remained silent.
“Aren’t you here to apologize?” Hanh asked, her eyes wide in astonishment.
“I never said I was here to apologize,” Robin replied.
Hanh and Marie Linton exchanged glances, a little bewildered.
Perhaps they overthought things.
But it was impossible.
“Are you not afraid of us? Afraid of the Linton family? We are a prominent family in St. Sunday. You have no power or influence, yet you dare to offend the Linton family. Aren’t you afraid? Aren’t you here to apologize?” Marie Linton asked hastily, not understanding.
Where did this person get the courage? Not only did he not apologize, but he also came to their home to make her beloved daughter do laundry.
“Afraid?”
Robin shook his head. “What is there to fear from a mere Linton family?”
Indeed. The Roach family, the Harris family, these families were several times larger than the Linton family, yet he destroyed them with a wave of his hand. There was nothing to fear from the Linton family.
However, when Marie Linton and Hanh heard this, they took it the wrong way.
They felt that this young man in front of them was looking down on the Linton family and instantly flared up. “Who do you think you are, looking down on the Linton family?”
They were furious. When did it become the norm for the likes of him to disrespect the Linton family?
“Who do you think I am? You dare to say such words,” Robin retorted with a smirk, holding a bag in his hand.
The last one who spoke like this was the Harris family, and they were gone now.
Marie Linton, however, believed that this young man in front of her was all talk, with little power but a lot of nerve. She immediately made a call. “Bring me my men.”
This call was to notify the security of their estate.
Soon, a large number of security personnel poured in, at least twenty or thirty. They were all burly men carrying electro-batons, which crackled with electricity.
“Master.”
Several guards, who were obviously special security personnel dressed in black uniforms, protected Marie Linton and Hanh.
Now, Marie Linton felt secure. She had heard from her daughter that this man had a knife. But now, surrounded by so many people, she felt incredibly safe. “Kid, even if you have a knife now, it’s useless. I don’t know where you got the courage to barge into the Linton family estate. And the most outrageous thing is, you actually came to make my precious daughter wash clothes.”
“Ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. My daughter has never washed clothes in her life. You’re not worthy.”
“Men, go up and give him a good beating. Then, I will thoroughly torment this boy.”
Her continuous speech clearly showed her anger.
Any Tom, Dick, or Harry dares to provoke the Linton family.
He’s very brave.
If they don’t deal with this guy, it will make the Linton family seem incapable.
“Yes, yes, yes, give him a good beating first. He actually wants me to apologize.” Hanh also fanned the flames from the side.
She also wanted to see Robin getting beaten.
“Kid, the master has ordered us to beat you up.”
The special security guards chuckled, cracking their knuckles, obviously preparing to beat someone.
Then, they rushed up, intending to take down Robin in an instant to show their strength to the master.
But Robin sighed, “Why go to such lengths?”
Without uttering a single word, a wave of energy erupted from his body, directly hitting the security guards. With a bang, the security guards were blasted away.
They crashed into walls, onto the floor.
Some vomited a mouthful of blood, some passed out directly, some were howling on the ground, saying their legs or arms were broken.
“Why bother? I just came to have you do some laundry.”
Robin shook his head, then slowly walked up to the mother and daughter, who were still in a daze and hadn’t recovered yet. He handed the bag to Hanh, saying, “Shall we wash?”
“Wash, I’ll wash.”
Hanh was almost in tears.
Could she not wash?
The entire estate’s security was now on the ground.
Not washing? If she didn’t, she would be next.
This guy, why was he different from whatshe imagined? Why was he so formidable?
She thought these security guards could subdue him, but they hadn’t even managed to get close to him before being taken down by his mere aura.
What was happening? Everything was different from what she had thought.
She took the clothes, but the next second she looked at Marie Linton and cried, “Mom, how do I wash clothes? I… I don’t know how.”
Marie Linton was right.
Hanh had never washed clothes in her entire life. From the time she was born, there were people to take care of everything for her. There were specific people to handle laundry, so she really didn’t know how to wash clothes.
“Can we let the nanny wash them?”
Having regained her senses, Marie Linton asked Robin.
She also hadn’t washed clothes in a long time.
“What do you think?”
Robin retorted with a question.
Now, the mother and daughter knew it was hopeless.
“Well, we’ll give it a try.”
Marie Linton pulled Hanh into the bathroom, found a basin, and said, “I remember, first find a basin, then draw some water, and after that… what’s next?”
After getting the basin and water, she couldn’t remember the next step.
She hadn’t washed clothes for a long time.
The last time she washed clothes was probably thirty years ago.
She was also a lady from a wealthy family.
“Mom, shouldn’t we put the clothes in the water?” Hanh carefully suggested.
“Yes, yes, put the clothes in the water.”
Marie Linton nodded repeatedly.
Soon, they put the clothes in, and Marie Linton said, “Now that they’re in, we should start washing them, right? We need to scrub them. Come on, we’ll scrub together.”
She didn’t let Hanh wash alone but taught her how to do it, step by step.
“Mom, the water is so cold. Should we change it to warm water?” Hanh touched the water and withdrew her hand.
“Warm water?”
Marie Linton looked at Robin again. “Can we use warm water?”
“…”
Robin didn’t say anything, but his expression said it all.
Marie Linton blushed, understanding Robin’s meaning.
“Alright then, my daughter, we won’t use warm water. We’ll just have to bear with it. Come, follow me and scrub.” Marie Linton began scrubbing the clothes and guided Hanh’s hand to do the same.
They started washing.
But as they washed, Hanh noticed something. “Mom, why can’t I wash this stain out?”
“Huh, let me try.”
Marie Linton took over, scrubbing hard. After ten minutes, her face turned red from exertion, but the stain remained. She was confused. Why couldn’t she get it out?
Robin, watching from the side, yawned. “Add some laundry detergent.”
