“By the way, Mr. Conwyn. There are five days left. Mr. X has given you plenty of time to let you suffer in despair.”
With those words, the Wolfman Guard vanished in the dark.
Bradley was standing under the dim light alone.
“Bang!”
He collapsed onto the ground as his legs weakened. He muttered in disbelief, “Such… Such a strong murderous aura… How many people has this man killed?”
When he confronted the man in the black robe just now, he was suffocated by the solid murderous vibe emanated from him. Bradley almost wet his pants, although he was a brutal man. If it were an ordinary man, he would have fainted in fear.
“Shit! Who the heck is that Mr. X? His subordinate is so fierce,” Bradley cursed.
After calming down and plucking himself up together, he gradually stood up with difficulties.
Held the wall, he limped away from the alley without looking at the dead body on the ground.
After an hour, he finally returned home. Sitting in the living room, he found his clothes had been wet in his cold sweat. Only then did he return to calm and normal from the Wolfman Guard’s impact.
“Mr. Conwyn, Ms. Brighton is calling you.” His butler, with gray hair and a wrinkled face, walked towards him while holding a phone.
Bradley hesitated before swiping to answer. “Hello?”
“Done the mission?” Constance asked softly in an enchanting tone.
“No,” answered Bradley.
“Was there any accident? Was Houry’s Villa guarded?” Constance was taken aback at first. Then she guessed there must be security guards outside the house.
She thought Bradley gave up the mission as he feared they would make a scene.
However, Bradley’s answer shocked her. “Not only that. Mr. X sent one of his subordinates to guard the villa as he predicted I would be there.” A trace of embarrassment flashed through his face.
“One of his subordinates? So?”
“So he killed my group of 30 killers.”
Bradley had confidently gone to carry out the mission. However, when he returned home, he looked frustrated with a lingering fear, almost breaking down. He had been horrified by that Wolfman Guard. After panting slightly, he added, “I don’t think Mr. X is as simple as we’ve imagined. His subordinate was too horrible, like a killing machine. However, he didn’t kill me. Do you know why?”
“Why?” Constance asked.
“Mr. X is playing a game with us. We’re like his rats. He declared to kill us in six days and would keep his word. No matter what we do now, it’s not worth him taking action.”
Bradley let out a bitter smile.
He started everything from scratch. As the Tiger of Stillwater, he had done countless evil things and become ruthless. However, Mr. X played games with him as if he were just a rat. Unfortunately, Bradley couldn’t fight back at all.
The Wolfman Guard had almost killed him.
At this moment, Bradley was no longer like a tiger. Instead, he seemed to be a weak feline.
“I see.” Constance ended the call immediately.
Conwyn’s Residence returned to silence. Bradley lay on the sofa while checking on his hands with mixed feelings. “Are you freaked out, Bradley?” he muttered.
He had never thought to be frightened by someone like this before.

Meanwhile, the Wolfman Guard, who had threatened Bradley, returned to Eleanor Manor. Robin was still up. Fiona and Leslie were sleeping soundly in his bedroom.
He planned to let them sleep in the children’s room earlier, but Leslie insisted on sharing his bed and brought Fiona with her. Therefore, the two girls slept in his bedroom.
After all, they were both five or six years old and didn’t know much about the gender difference. Robin loved both little girls, so he agreed.
“General, the mission is accomplished. 30 were killed in total. The threatening level is C,” a man in a black robe suddenly appeared on the balcony and reported.
If Bradley heard the Wolfman Guard’s words, he might black out in fear. He put much effort into establishing such a group and relied on them for many missions. However, the threatening level of eliminating them all was only C, the lowest in the ranking.
“Ehn. You may leave,” Robin responded. The Wolfman Guard left.
The balcony was blanketed by silence again. Robin breathed a sigh of relief. He trusted his Wolfman Guards, but it was a matter of Elise’s safety, so he had been tense for a while.
Finally, he was relieved. In fact, he had sent more than one Wolfman Guard to watch Elise for her safety.
Robin returned to his bedroom and slept on the empty space of this bed. Shortly after, Leslie gradually lay prone on his chest while sleeping, her saliva dripping.
“You bad girl.” Robin poked her nose tip.
Soon, Robin fell asleep. All of them had a sound sleep tonight.
However, someone couldn’t sleep well in a villa in the same city. Constance sent her men to check Mr. X, wishing to figure out his background information in detail.
After a whole night, a report was sent to Constance. Her special secretary picked it up and read, “Mr. X appeared after destroying the Winfield family. The people involved were Robin Bailey, Elise Houry, and Timothy Buosont, the only three surviving the event. All the surveillance records have been erased. We failed to find out what had happened exactly.
“Later, Mr. X appeared again and destroyed the Meyer family. Many people were involved, but none had something to do with Mr. X. The surveillance was also erased. We didn’t find anything about Mr. X from this incident. However, his mysterious troop was exposed.
“Then he destroyed the Holland family. Due to the Hollands’ plan failure, the Holland family had to surrender. Now, the family has been gone.”
“We also tried to trace Mr. X’s information from the Buosont family but failed.”
After reading the report, the secretary lowered his head gingerly, afraid of irritating Constance.
Constance looked sullen after listening to him. “So, you all checked on him for a whole night but failed to find anything helpful? You even don’t know Mr. X’s real name.”
She wished to know Mr. X’s background, but nothing had been found after the night.
“According to our speculation, he should be a bigwig from the military,” answered the special secretary.
“Your speculation? Idiots! The Buosont family has announced Mr. X has a military background. I want to know the details of his background and ranking,” Constance snapped.
She wanted to know her enemy so she could develop the remedy. After knowing Mr. X’s background, she would plan her next step. Also, she could confirm Mr. X had a military background but didn’t think he had a high ranking. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have worn a mask.
Constance had the confidence to deal with such a man. After all, she was the most well-known businesswoman in Stillwater and had achieved it step by step.
