Chapter 172 Rory’s Trap Failed

Book:The Warlord Is Back Published:2024-5-31

“Oops, Robin Bailey! I didn’t expect you to be here, you worthless tramp.”
Rory looked at Robin with interest. Ignoring his men on the ground, he fanned with a triumphant smile. “You’re also trapped now.”
“Come out!” he ordered suddenly.
Roughly 300 men rushed out from the corners around the bar’s house.
“Honestly speaking, I checked you last time, Robin Bailey. You’ve been a soldier in Eastern Kisia before. That’s why you are good at fighting. However, I have so many men today. Do you think you can win?”
Rory pushed up his glasses while sneering.
He remembered Doug wasn’t the only one who had humiliated him. Robin was the ringleader. Besides, Rory set up Doug with the intention of luring Robin out.
He was a petty man.
Robin and Doug had embarrassed him in public, so Rory wanted to end their lives.
Besides, he was confident as he had ambushed several hundred men around the bar. Even if Rory’s men simply smashed on Robin and Doug, the latter two would be doomed.
“Idiot!” Doug cursed at Rory with irony in his eyes.
Rory wanted to win against Robin by the number of his men.
In Doug’s opinion, it was the most irrational way.
Last time, Doug wished to improve his fighting skills, so he asked Robin to train him. Robin called Jeff over. From then on, Doug experienced different training courses that tortured him greatly.
Jeff was like a demon.
Jeff was a real beast under a human’s skin during the training. Doug and his men united but couldn’t win against him at all. Several times, Doug was almost severely injured.
A man like Jeff was obedient and loyal to Robin. Therefore, Doug could imagine how fierce Robin would be.
“Humph! Don’t be kidding. My men have surrounded this bar. None of you can escape today,” Rory added with a scornful smile.
Then he looked at one of his bodyguards. “Shepherd, tear the man on his right into pieces.”
“Got it!”
The man nicknamed Shepherd was a bruiser with muscles all over his body. He turned around and looked his nose down at the man on Robin’s right–Jeff. Tilting his neck, Shepherd asked, “Ready to die, brat?”
“By the way, he’s my best bodyguard. He can kill you all with a lift of a finger,” Rory said in confidence.
However, he froze the next second. Jeff suddenly appeared before Shepherd somehow and threw a punch at him.
“Bang!”
Shepherd’s solid body was bounced away, flying like a bullet.
In the end, he smashed into a wall and cracked it.
Everyone gaped at the scene. Some swallowed hard, amazed by Jeff’s fierceness.
Rory was also baffled.
Shepherd was his best bodyguard but was defeated by only a single punch.
He couldn’t believe his eyes.
“I’m not in a good mood today. Try me. No matter how many of you want to fight with me, I’ll kill you all,” Jeff roared, glancing at the enemies on the scene brutally.
“Holy… Shit!”
As the best fighter in Robin’s troop of Forte Eastern, Jeff had killed thousands of enemies. Therefore, his glance scared many gangsters.
Most of them almost wet their pants. They wanted to run away but didn’t have the guts.
“Jeff, back off,” Robin ordered.
“Mr. Bailey.”
“I said back off.”
“Yes, Mr. Bailey.”
Although Jeff was unhappy, he had to repress it and step back. However, he gave the man on Robin’s left a deadly gaze.
That was Nick.
Jeff had never expected to see Nick after returning to town. He used to treat Nick as his older brother, but Nick betrayed Robin and stabbed him with a dagger.
Jeff had mixed feelings.
Most of all, he hated Nick. If Robin hadn’t given him a command beforehand, he would have fought with Nick. Therefore, he wasn’t in a good mood.
“Those who haven’t joined the fight early, leave now!” Robin said.
His voice emanated horrible stress to others, who felt a brutal beast had woken up. Under his gaze, they shuddered, daring not to move.
The gangsters who hadn’t joined the fight earlier immediately left the scene.
As for those who had fought with Doug, they wanted to leave. However, they seemed to be stopped by something invisible and couldn’t lift their legs.
A minute later, only less than 20 men were left in Revitalization. Rory didn’t send many men to kill Doug but only to make the scene.
Only the gangsters who stayed had joined the fight.
However, all of them were elites in Rory’s team.
“Shit! Robin Bailey must have some weird secrets.”
Rory panicked with an unconcealed fear on his face, which was covered by cold sweat.
In his opinion, Robin was just a tramp taken in by the Houry family. He used to be a soldier. However, he emanated intense pressure. His gaze could scare Rory shitless.
“Robin Bailey isn’t simple.”
Scar stared t Robin, his pupils constricting in solemness.
A chill rose from his feet. Scar could tell he was facing the critical moment of life or death.
“You just stay and watch,” Robin ordered Jeff.
“What? OK…” Jeff answered.
However, he still stared daggers at Nick.
“Mister, can I open my eyes?”
Robin was holding a little girl’s hand. She was the same age as Leslie, five or six. Her hair hung over her shoulders. She was adorable with a round face. Two sharp teeth would show at the corner of her mouth whenever she smiled.
Robin thought she was lovely.
The little girl was Nick’s daughter, Fiona Abel. Nick didn’t want her to stay home alone, so he took her with him.
However, the scene wasn’t supposed to be seen by a child. Hence, Robin asked Fiona to close her eyes. The little girl was obedient and didn’t open her eyes at all.
“A moment later,” Robin whispered to her.
Looking at Jeff, he said, “Come here.”
“Yes, Mr. Bailey.”
Jeff stood before Robin.
“I’ll let you look after Fiona. Take her out for fun. We’ll go to find you after solving the problem here,” Robin said while letting Jeff hold Fiona’s hand.
“What?”
Jeff gaped at him, although he used to calmly fight against more than ten thousand enemies alone. Jeff was baffled.
He was a man who liked kids, but he wasn’t good at looking after them.
Besides, Fiona was Nick’s daughter, his foe’s daughter.
“This is a command,” Robin said coldly.
“Yes, Mr. Bailey,” Jeff had to obey the order.
He pinched Fiona’s soft hand and looked at her chubby face. Fiona followed him obediently without making a scene.
‘Nick Abel, you lucky bastard. For your daughter’s sake, I’ll let go of you for the time being.’
Jeff bent over and said, “Sweetie, you can open your eyes. Would you like to have some fried chicken?”
“Yes.”
Fiona opened her eyes, looking at him innocently.
