“We shall escape together,” said Dillon aloud, holding Emma’s hand.
He knew how serious the current situation was. However, he was unwilling to leave Doug behind. As Robin’s friend, Dillon didn’t want to disgrace him.
“You are a brave man, Dillon. What about letting Emma go?”
Dough smiled at him with the cigarette between his lips.
In the past few months, he and Dillon had become close friends. Dillon looked like a nerd, but he was brilliant.
He knew what to do and what not to do.
Otherwise, he wouldn’t have run his bar so successfully.
Dough liked Dillon and appreciated his smartness.
“Ah…”
Dillon was unwilling to escape, but he truly wished Emma could leave. Looking at her, he suggested, “Emma, we’ll help you get out of here.”
“No. I won’t go.”
Emma shook her head. “Although I used to be a stripper, I’m not cheap. I did it because I had to earn some quick money. Or I wouldn’t have done it. I’m not boneless.”
“I won’t leave you alone here. I don’t mind dying with you. I’ve been so lucky to encounter you in my life.”
Emma grabbed Dillon’s arm tightly, afraid he would send her away. In that case, she would lead a lonely life again.
In her opinion, her life became meaningful only after she encountered Dillon. Before that, she just barely stayed alive.
“Humph! You guys must have watched plenty of soap operas. How dramatic! Come back to reality! We won’t let anyone of you leave.”
Rory walked out of the crowd while holding a fan with a sneer on his face.
His motto was: “Ruthlessness is the mark of a truly great man.”
Since he had made a move, he would do the aftermath well. He had decided to kill everyone in the bar and randomly toss their dead bodies into a river, whether men or women.
He disdained the plots in the soap operas, unwilling to let go of women.
In reality, a heartless man like him would never give them any chance.
“Scar, we’ve been fighting against each other for months, but neither has won. Now you can’t afford the failure but find a helper, huh? You broke the rules.”
Doug took a drag of the cigarette, looking at Scar unhappily.
Scar had always been arrogant, but he fell into silence at this moment. As a gangster, they should obey certain rules and remain faithful. The conflict was originally between him and Doug.
According to the rules, Scar should confront Doug alone. Their men should fight with each other one on one.
However, Rory set up Doug and called Scar to send his men to encircle and suppress Doug. It was a despicable means.
“Scar, it’s Mr. Jonas’ order,” Rory chimed in darkly and darted at Scar.
He knew Scar well. Scar was faithful and always obeyed the rules. Usually, he looked down on scheming villains like Rory. Therefore, Rory ordered Scar in Fletcher’s name as it was a critical moment.
Whether Fletcher had such a command, Rory had the final say.
Last time, Doug slapped him in many people’s presence, and Rory hadn’t forgotten it.
“OK.”
Scar moved a bit.
No matter what, he must obey Fletcher’s order.
“Gee.”
Dough curled his lips in disdain. Inwardly, he knew he might not escape this time. Scar had brought 200 men, and Rory had brought 100.
All of them had fully packed Revitalization.
On the contrary, Dough only had more than 20 men.
He had sent the rest to the emergency, which would take them an extra hour to rush back.
Unfortunately, Rory wouldn’t give him another hour.
“Stop looking, Doug. No one will come to rescue you today. None can afford to offend Lamonia Security Company. Besides, even if someone comes, it’ll be useless. My men had surrounded this block. You slapped me last time. I’ll make your life hell now.”
Rory chuckled darkly.
He had always remembered the insult. Earlier, he wanted to tell his uncle but felt too shameless. If he asked his uncle to avenge him because of Doug, he would be laughed at by other gangsters.
Therefore, Rory decided to end Doug’s life personally today.
“Rory Jonas, I enjoyed the slap last time. I’d love to feel the joy again.” Doug checked on his palm and Rory’s face.
His implication was evident.
“Shit! Kill him!”
Rory’s face became ferocious. Doug even mentioned the slap in his men’s presence. Rory believed his subordinates would definitely laugh at him.
He was riled up and decided to chop Dough into several chunks.
“Got it!” his men answered.
Each held a melon knife, rushing towards Doug and his men. Among them, Rory’s and Scar’s bodyguards were in the lead.
All of them were skillful in fighting.
After a short fight, Doug’s body was covered with more scars. Tiredness flashed through his eyes. He gradually moved slower and slower, almost failing to fight back. When three men fought with him in unison, Doug defended himself and whispered, “I’m sorry, Mr. Bailey.”
He thought he would definitely fail and let Robin down.
Doug had mixed feelings for Robin. In the beginning, he looked down on Robin. Later he was shocked. Robin even gave him an opportunity to choose a different way of life. In the end, Doug decided to follow him.
At the last moment of his life, he called Robin “Mr. Bailey” respectfully.
Suddenly, a man’s voice sounded at the bar entrance. “How dare you bully my friends!”
“Robin Bailey, isn’t it? Humph! Someone does come here to save you. It’s worthless. Robin Bailey is just a security guard. What can he do?” Rory sneered in disdain.
He ordered, “Stop him!”
“Yes, Mr. Jonas.”
Some of his subordinates tried to stop Robin.
Doug had been burned out earlier. After hearing Robin’s words, he became spirited. He dodged easily when the three men were about to hurt him with their knives.
“The miracle moment?”
The three men attaching Doug exchanged glances in disbelief.
“Nope. My helper is here.”
Doug grinned at them.
Right then, they heard men continue crying in pain. Everyone was startled, including Rory and Scar. They turned to look at the entrance, gaping.
Their men were rolling and lying on the ground while groaning in pain.
A man with an outstanding temperament entered the bar while holding a little girl’s hand. He proudly glanced at everyone inside.
On his left side was a cripple man, looking like a migrant worker. Somehow, when others looked at him, they thought he was like a wolf. The next second, they felt chilly, as if a broadsword had been pressed against their throats.
On the man’s right was a tall, sturdy man. He looked fierce, and he was trying to repress his anger. Like a beast under a human’s skin, he could tear his foes into pieces anytime.
The two men guarded the man in the middle.
