The bar.
Robin strode towards Doug with a satisfying smile. “You’ve passed the test. From now on, you are one of my buddies.”
Doug could have escaped, but he didn’t.
Robin gave him a command to protect Dillon, so Doug tried his best to ensure Dillon’s safety.
“What?”
Doug collapsed to the floor, his body covered with wounds. Blood oozed and dripped to the floor. Fortunately, those were all minor wounds. While he gasped for breath, he was confused by Robin’s words.
He realized he wasn’t Robin’s buddy before.
“You lucky boy.”
Nick shook his head, looking at Doug in envy. He limped to Doug and propped his hand on his shoulder. “Earlier, you were only his subordinate, but now, you are his buddy. Do you know how many people kill themselves to be recognized by Mr. Bailey?”
Being a buddy meant he was closer to Robin.
Earlier, he only worked for Robin, and Robin used his talents. Doug’s life or death had nothing to do with him, as he wouldn’t care about Doug.
However, it was different now.
Finally, Doug figured it out and called Robin respectfully, “Mr. Bailey!”
He wasn’t a fool, so he knew what his attitude should be.
“Are you OK?” Robin asked Dillon and Emma.
“We’re well.”
Dillon breathed a sigh of relief, still holding an empty beer bottle.
He also joined the fight. As he said, he would stay, which meant he would sit and watch while waiting to be killed.
He had decided to risk his life to fight back.
Emma also put down the stool in her hands. Like husband, like wife.
After ensuring Dillon and Emma were safe and sound, Robin looked at Rory and Scar icily. With his hands behind his back, he remarked, “How dare you gangsters lay a finger on my friends!”
“Robin Bailey, I dare you to do something to me. My uncle is Mr. Jonas,” Robin snorted.
Although he failed this time and his men were scared away, he was confident of killing Robin and Doug in the future because of his uncle.
Mr. Jonas from Lamonia Security Company was a bigwig in the underworld.
If others heard his name, they wouldn’t do anything to Rory. Even if Rory was facing the top three families, he wouldn’t be scared.
The next second, Rory was bounced away while letting out a cry in pain.
He smashed onto several tables with a loud bang, spitting blood. Ultimately, he fell on a counter and spat a big mouthful of blood.
“Mr. Jonas? Think he can be comparable to Mr. Bailey? He doesn’t deserve it.”
A mid-aged man was standing on the spot where Rory had stood earlier. It was Nick with a murderous look.
“He moved so fast!”
Other men’s pupils constricted. Before they reacted, Nick appeared on the spot as soon as the last syllable fell from Rory’s tongue.
He gave Rory a round kick.
Also, people on the scene could tell Nick was cripple. However, he kicked Rory away fiercely. They wouldn’t have believed it if they hadn’t witnessed it personally.
However, the fact had happened in their presence.
“Mr. Bailey.”
Nick limped back to Robin, standing behind him, lowering his head humbly.
“Rory!”
Scar’s expression changed. Scar hurriedly checked on Rory, only to find the latter had stopped breathing.
Although Scar disliked Rory, who was indeed a villain, Rory was Fletcher’s nephew. Fletcher was known as the wisest man in Lamonia Security Company.
“You don’t need to worry about him. Your life and death haven’t been decided yet,” Robin said.
Scar’s face darkened. However, he had to admit Robin was telling the truth. He didn’t need to worry about Rory because he would be the next one facing life or death.
“Well…” Robin broke off, looking at Doug. “Do you want to have a one-on-one fight with him?”
“Yes, I do.”
Doug was excited. He had grudges against Scar. Earlier, he was worried Robin would kill Scar directly. Much to his surprise, Robin gave him a chance.
Doug would also take the opportunity to show his competence in his subordinates’ presence.
“Can I leave without being punished after winning against Doug?”
Scar realized he still had a chance to survive after hearing Robin’s words. Also, he emphasized “without being punished” to avoid becoming disabled.
“Yes, you can.”
Robin nodded.
“OK.”
Scar was delighted. He and Doug were well-matched. Earlier, Doug fought several rounds, wasted energy, and got wounded.
Therefore, Scar was confident that he could win against him.
However, he didn’t notice that Robin, the man he had always looked down on, became the person who could decide his life or death.
“Mr. Bailey, I…”
Doug was excited. However, he hesitated after hearing that he would need to set Scar free if he lost. After all, it would be difficult for him to win against Scar.
Also, he didn’t think he could win at this moment.
“No worries. Go ahead.”
Robin nodded at him.
“OK, Mr. Bailey.”
Dough accepted the command without overthinking. He started fighting with Scar immediately. Neither held a weapon. They threw punches to attack each other.
Shortly after, they were injured.
However, Doug was wounded more severely. After all, he had been injured earlier and had wasted too much energy.
“I’ll win soon.”
Scar noticed Doug’s flow. With a smile, he kicked Doug.
If he succeeded, the fight would end.
“Damn it!”
Doug panicked, almost failing to defend himself.
However, Nick suddenly said, “Bend down to give him a round kick on his left leg.”
The time was too tight for Doug to think about. He immediately turned around and kicked Scar. Then he realized the posture enabled him to dodge Scar’s attack and find his flaw.
“What?”
Scar was shocked by the reversal and flinched.
Unfortunately, it was too late. Doug hit his ribs. Scar showed teeth in pain. Then Nick said, “Hop up and hit him from above.
“Turn left. Hit his neck.”
“Turn right. Hit his belly.”
Upon hearing his advice, Doug gathered all his explosive forces, approached Scar, and attacked him fiercely.
He threw punches and kicked Scar repeatedly.
Scar wanted to fight back or defend himself but couldn’t do anything. While dodging the attack, he flinched. Ultimately, he failed to protect himself, and his chin was hit.
The punch knocked out all his teeth. “Bang!” He fell to the floor.
Scar lost.
“You’ll never know who Lamonia Security Company has offended,” Dough laughed and said to Scar. The words were the last ones the latter heard when he was still alive.
