Chapter 156 Sumio Miyamoto

Book:The Warlord Is Back Published:2024-5-31

Layton believed Mr. X must be out of his mind.
“No! You can’t do this. My family is also influential here.”
Layton flinched in a panic.
However, Robin didn’t reply, nor did the Wolfman Guard take a step back. Holding a soldier’s sword, he walked towards Layton step by step. Layton was so frightened that he collapsed onto the ground in a cold sweat.
“No… Please! Don’t kill me… Don’t kill me.”
Layton immediately put his palms together, got his hands and knees, and begged the Wolfman Guard in front of him. Tears dropped from his eyes. Everyone could tell he was scared.
He was no longer the proud, brave man.
However, the Wolfman Guard didn’t stop.
When he stood before Layton, the latter suddenly jumped up and pulled out a dagger from his sleeve. “You are tricked!” he yelled with a ferocious look.
As he returned from abroad, he wasn’t stupid.
After witnessing the scene earlier, he knew he couldn’t win against the men in black. Therefore, he acted and made the Wolfman Guard off-guard and planned to keep the Wolfman Guard as a hostage to leave Meyer Manor.
People nearby watched the scene, amazed by his performance.
They thought the Stillwater Holland family might progress under Layton’s leadership.
Unfortunately, Layton was against the most elite soldiers among the 300, 000 soldiers of Fort Eastern. Each Wolfman Guard had experienced thousands of battles. Therefore, they were always alert.
The Wolfman Guard slightly dodged his attack. The next second, with a silver light, his soldier’s sword was stabbed into Layton’s chest.
“As I was ordered, I must kill you .”
“Bang!”
Layton fell to the floor, blood streaming out from his mouth. His eyes were full of reluctance. At the last moment of his life, he regretted it. Instead of thinking about how to make his family progress or missing his family or girlfriend, he asked himself why he acted to be bold.
If he had left Meyer Manor obediently, he wouldn’t have been killed.
He had a death wish and couldn’t blame anyone but himself.
“Mr. X is really brutal. He came to make trouble for the Meyer family deliberately. Now, he killed the Holland family’s heir. Does he want to make Stillwater chaotic?”
“Mr. X is indeed ruthless.”
All the onlookers felt their hair stand on end and couldn’t believe Mr. X had killed the Holland family’s heir for real.
They realized he was indeed cold-blooded.
“Everyone, it’s not the time for you to watch the fun,” Robin said after glancing at the onlookers coldly.
After Layton and Arthur were killed and lay on the floor, none dared to stay any longer, as they all realized Mr. X enjoyed slaughter.
Soon, only the Meyers were left in the hall.
David hesitated for a while and decided to leave. Although he could impress the Meyers by staying in the hall, he didn’t want to get involved as the Meyer family was also in trouble to survive.
However, when he was about to leave the house, a Wolfman Guard blocked his way while holding a soldier’s sword.
“What do you mean? Didn’t you say people not from the Meyer family were allowed to leave?” David asked Mr. X with a frown.
“You are an exception,” Robin answered.
“An exception? Why? Why Am I only the exception?” David gazed at him with a baffled expression. He found himself the only exception among all the guests.
Robin didn’t answer him. Looking at Meyer, he said, “Now, let’s get even.”
“Ha ha…” Marcus snorted.
He still kept calm. Even though Robin killed Arthur, he was still confident. “In fact, you didn’t come here at a proper time. We might not win against you at some other time. However, today is different. We have a special guest here.”
“Mr. Sumio Miyamoto is here. He can easily end your life. Greg, please ask Mr. Miyamoto to come over.”
Greg bowed at him and was about to find Sumio Miyamoto.
Suddenly, a deep voice sounded in a corner, “I’m here.”
People followed the voice, only to find a man in a black warrior’s uniform from Zibbema standing in the corner while holding a samurai sword. He was in his thirties with bears. Fighting spirits filled his eyes.
“Mr. Miyamoto, your skills have improved again. I’ve never noticed when you arrived at the hall. Zibbema Empire must be proud of you,” Marcus laughed loudly.
Seeing Sumio appear in the hall quietly, he became more confident.
He didn’t think Mr. X could win against the most famous warrior from Zibbema and couldn’t wait to see Mr. X to be killed.
“Since I came to Kisia from Zibbema, I’ve wandered around over 10 cities but never met anyone who could win against me. It only means people in Kisia are too weak. After coming to Stillwater, my impression isn’t also changed. Kisia is declining. Since you warmly kept me staying here, I would repay your kindness, Mr. Meyer.”
“Click-clack…”
Sumio approached while stroking the samurai sword in his hand. “To repay your kindness, I’ll kill the troublemaker. Brat, I’m No. 73 on Darkboard. Ready to be my sacrifice?”
His words delighted Marcus. He burst into laughter and said to Robin, “Brat, do you know what Darkboard is? You shouldn’t know. It’s a global worrier’s ranking board. Killers, mercenaries, and warriors on this board are all extremely powerful in combat.”
“Mr. Miyamoto can easily end your life.”
Sumio was Marcus’s trump card and the reason why Marcus always kept calm.
Everyone on Darkboard was horrible.
Marcus believed it was a piece of cake for Sumio to kill Mr. X.
“That’s a big relief. I won’t regret staying in Meyer Manor today,” David muttered, feeling relieved.
He had thought he would be in danger because of the Meyer family. Much to his surprise, Marcus had kept a warrior from Darkboard at home.
David had also heard of Darkboard before, knowing how horrible people on the board were.
Although he didn’t know why Mr. X had stopped him from leaving, David didn’t think it was a bad thing. He could impress the Meyers by doing so. When he took over Lands Corporation officially the following day, the Meyer family might give him more resources.
He believed Elise had died.
No one else would compete against him for the position of chairman of the board. David was delighted, thinking Elise deserved to die.
