A few days later, things in Landview Inc. went on the right track. Dillon, the architecture expert from the University of Aappitat, was their engineer. The 60 million dollars invested from Sunrise Properties were used.
Elise also obtained necessary things from the auctions.
Therefore, she decided to have a celebration dinner with Robin.
“Let’s go to a restaurant.”
Walking in the middle, Leslie held her parents’ hands and cheered adorably.
“You are a foodie.”
Elise poked her nose tip gently.
She and Leslie had an agreement. Elise would make time one day every month to accompany Leslie. They had done it for years. No matter how busy Elise was, she had made time for this day.
However, today was different. Another person would join them.
Robin stared at them, shaking his head dotingly. He couldn’t tear his gaze off Elise. She wore a blouse and a black skirt, looking graceful and sexy.
Her long, black hair wasn’t coiled up, so she looked younger than usual.
Robin thought she was indeed charming.
On the way, many men were attracted by Elise. When their gazes fell on Robin, their eyes were full of jealousy as Robin had married such a beauty.
“Here we are. Cielo Restaurant.”
Robin looked up at the restaurant’s logo. Cielo Restaurant was a newly opened one with a good reputation. After discussing with Elise for a long time, they decided to come over.
After entering the lobby, they chose to sit by the window.
It was a booth for four. Elise and Leslie sat next to each other, and Robin sat opposite. The scene was harmonious, sending warmth into Robin’s chest.
He had served in the military for seven years and experienced life and death. His memories were full of blood and coldness.
Many times, his best friends passed away in battle. Therefore, Robin had always had tense nerves.
Later, after he became General Eastern, he had to do things and think for protecting his nation. Therefore, he couldn’t relax for years. Sometimes, he wondered if he would die suddenly.
Right then, Kisia had become prosperous, and the people were living in peace. Finally, he could relax and lead a life he liked.
“TSK. TSK. Elise Houry? I wonder how you can afford to come here. You’ve been deprived by your company. Did you use your company’s funds? Aren’t you afraid David Houry and his supporters will make trouble for you?” suddenly, a man’s voice sounded.
Robin turned around and saw Elliott sitting at another table alone.
“Gee. Why are you everywhere? How unlucky!”
Elise looked at him unhappily. Her new company had just started, and neither David nor Snowy had suppressed it yet.
However, Elliott’s Nicholson Group made trouble for her.
Besides, he behaved too arrogant and declared to bankrupt her new company.
Elise was indeed pissed off. However, she couldn’t do anything. After all, her company was just a start-up that couldn’t compete with the Nicholson Group.
Therefore, she gritted her teeth to tolerate it.
“Elise Houry, just a kindly reminder. This restaurant is high-end. You are too poor to afford it. You even came here with a security guard. Shame on you!” Elliott mocked with a triumphant smile.
However, the next second, a bowl was smashed into his mouth. With a click, the bowl cracked, and blood oozed from his wound.
“Shut up!”
Only then did others realize Robin had tossed the bowl out.
“Argh!” Elliott let out a cry in pain.
He wasn’t severely injured, and his wounds stopped bleeding shortly after.
Gazing at Robin in hatred, Elliott snapped, “How dare you!”
“You insulted my wife. You deserved it,” Robin answered bluntly.
“Because of me?”
Elise was taken aback. His words sent warmth into her vein. She didn’t expect Robin to defend her in public.
However, it felt good.
Although feeling delighted, Elise stood up. She heard the restaurant’s owner was a tough man with a mysterious background.
She was about to apologize, but Elliott covered his mouth and flinched. “Don’t come over. I won’t let go of you. How dare you hit me! I’ve never been hit by anyone in my life.”
“Who’s the manager here? Your patron will be beaten to death!” Elliott roared in the restaurant.
The restaurant was a newly opened, high-end place with a mysterious background. No one had the guts to make trouble there. However, Robin had the guts to hit him.
Elliott wished the restaurant owner to end Robin’s life, so he wouldn’t need to do anything.
He was determined to avenge.
“Shoot!”
Elise panicked. If the restaurant owner showed up, the matter would become serious.
The restaurant’s security guards walked to the lobby after hearing Elliott’s shout. They were bruisers led by a lobby manager.
“What happened, mister?” the lobby manager walked to Elliott and asked.
“This man hit me without any reason. I didn’t do anything, but he hurt me. Look at the wounds on my face.”
Elliott pointed at his wounds.
“Well…”
The lobby manager frowned at Robin and asked, “Did you do it, Mister?”
“No, I didn’t.”
Robin shook his head. “I sat at this table with my family, but he suddenly raised his bowl and smashed it onto his face. Then he slandered me for doing so. I guess he must be nuts. You’d better send him to a hospital.”
Since Elliott declared that he hadn’t done anything, Robin imitated him.
He insisted he hadn’t done anything.
The lobby manager was baffled, wondering what was going on.
While confused, Elliott took off his watch and shoved it into the lobby manager’s hands. “This is a golden one worth 20, 000 bucks. You help me make this guy disabled. I know your background. You can do it.”
“No problem.”
The lobby manager smiled brightly as soon as he touched the golden watch. It was worth 20, 000 dollars, and Elliott’s request was too simple. He didn’t mind doing Elliott a favor.
It was a piece of cake.
After beating the guy, he wouldn’t have the guts to avenge himself. After all, their restaurant was with a unique background.
“Brat, how dare you to slander this gentleman! He didn’t do anything, but you smashed a bowl onto his face. It’s against our restaurant’s rules,” the lobby manager snapped at Robin.
“No. He insulted us first,” Elise stood up and defended Robin.
Leslie also added, “Exactly. He insulted my mom first.”
“I have evidence that you actively hit this gentleman, and he didn’t do anything. How dare you slander him. How shameless you are!” the lobby manager insisted.
With a murderous look, he added, “You don’t deserve to dine in our restaurant. According to our rules, you must compensate 200 million dollars for the broken bowl. If you cannot, we have to teach you a lesson.”
