“General Eastern? Don’t be kidding! Do you know who he is?”
Brian burst into laughter, staring at Robin in disbelief. General Eastern was the Primus of Kisia, who had killed over 300, 000 enemies in a battle.
He didn’t believe such a bigwig would have appeared there.
Ted reminded him bitterly, “Mr. Chase, this man should be a general at least. Otherwise, he wouldn’t have dispatched the local army.”
“A general, at least?”
Brian’s smile froze immediately.
Not to mention General Eastern. If Robin was truly a general, no one in Stillwater could stop him from doing what he wanted to do.
“Need the proof? How about this?”
Robin tossed a token of authority to him. Brian hurriedly caught it. Boom! His mind became blank as he saw a unique pattern on it. Behind the token, he saw “one and the only” and a surname, Bailey.
Everyone in Kisia knew the family name of General Eastern was Bailey, and he was called General Bailey. No one outside the military knew his real name. Brian finally realized his full name was Robin Bailey at this moment.
He also had appeared there.
Only General Eastern owned such a token in Kisia, as it could dispatch the army of any city.
Therefore, it proved Robin was really General Eastern.
Brian had to admit he had met the general who had killed over 300, 000 enemies.
A lingering fear surged in his chest. As soon as he arrived, he wanted to beat General Eastern. Brian thought he would be doomed for sure. Then he fainted in fear.
After all, Robin was also known as Death on the battlefield.
“Has he fainted? How mentally fragile he is!”
Robin shook his head and ordered, “Those men forcibly tear down the residents’ houses. This matter should be investigated.”
“Yes, General Bailey,” answered all the 3, 000 soldiers thunderously.
Robin didn’t contact Lacey to handle this matter because too many people had been involved, and one of them was an officer in the fort.
Lacey wouldn’t be able to handle it well.
In a minute, the soldiers took all the men from the real estate company. Jeff would lead them to investigate this matter.
After they were gone, Robin smiled at Alexa and Josie. “It’s over. You’ll be fine,” he said kindly.
“Thank you, General Bailey.” Alexa bowed at him in a panic.
She didn’t think she could afford to offend a general.
“Please stop it, Mrs. Mason. If you hadn’t saved my life back then, I wouldn’t have had such an achievement today.”
Robin held her arms to stop her.
He wasn’t arrogant. Instead, he liked to return favors to others. Let alone Alexa used to save his life.
Alexa breathed a sigh of relief. She had thought Robin had changed, so she bowed at him politely.
However, he was still the humble young man she used to know.
“Good boy.”
Alexa glanced at Robin gently.
“Let’s get in and talk,” she invited Robin. Then she went into her house with Josie.
Robin followed suit.
Sitting in the living room, Alexa told him what had happened in the past several years. Their family used to be a typical middle-class family. However, Josie’s father passed away a long time ago. Alexa was a charming woman. Hence, many men pursued her.
However, she refused to marry another man.
Later, some businessmen deliberately set her up and bankrupted her store. After selling her properties, she took Josie back to her husband’s family’s old house.
“Come here, Josie.”
Robin reached out, and Josie hugged him. They were close before. “I have a daughter. She’s only a few years younger than you. Would you like to be her friend?”
“Do you have a daughter?”
Alexa was shocked and didn’t expect him to become a famous general and a father.
“Right. Her name is Leslie Bailey,” Robin told them about his daughter. A trace of tenderness flashed through his eyes.
Leslie was clingy to him.
“Great.”
Alexa felt happy for him. She wanted to adopt Dillon and Robin back then, but her husband had just passed away. Later, the two boys left her house suddenly.
Therefore, she changed her mind.
However, she felt thrilled to see Robin become a famous general.
“By the way, where’s Dillon?” Alexa asked.
“He fell and broke his legs a few days ago. He’s in a hospital now. Dillon has become a senior engineer.”
Robin didn’t tell Alexa about the bar’s matter, so she wouldn’t be worried.
“That’s wonderful!”
Alexa felt relieved to see the two boys were safe and sound.
“By the way, Mrs. Mason, all residents here have run away. Why don’t you move to another place? I have a house. You and Josie can move in.”
Robin was about to pull out the card of his villa in Eleanor Manor as he spoke.
It was No. 001 that was worth 14 million dollars. He didn’t mind giving it to Alexa. Robin didn’t lack money. Besides, he wanted to return her favor.
However, Alexa flicked her hand to refuse him. “No, thanks, Robin. I like staying here. It’s my husband’s old house.”
Robin could tell Alexa was reluctant to move out.
“All right. If you need anything, call me, Mrs. Mason.”
Robin left his number for her, asking her to call him anytime.
“Sure. I will.”
Alexa didn’t accept his card but remembered his number. She didn’t want to trouble him. Instead, she liked Dillon and Robin, so she wanted to keep in touch with him.
After returning home, Robin received a call from Jeff. “Hello, General Bailey. I found something. The project is a profit chain relating to a lot of people. I’ve arrested them.”
“Good,” Robin agreed.
He rested assured if Jeff was in charge. Anyway, only a few people knew his real identity. All the soldiers would stay in the fort without betraying him.
In the evening, Elise returned home in a hurry.
“You know what, Robin? I received some news earlier.” She sat opposite Robin.
“What’s it about?”
“Chase Corporation went bankrupt. It’s so unbelievable. Like Lucas Corporation, it’s one of the top architecture enterprises in town. They are more despicable than Lucas Corporation. They bribed some government officials and tore down many houses illegally. Some residents were almost killed.”
Elise looked excited. “I wonder whom they have offended this time. The person directly made them go to the dogs. I heard many famous government officials were involved. I reported their crimes last time but received no response.”
“It’s so exciting! I’m thankful for the person who did it. He has got rid of a hoodoo for Stillwater. If Miranda knew it, she would have a crush on him again.”
“Well, her favorite man so far is that piano master. I heard she had sworn to make that man her boyfriend.”
