“Why are you here?” Robin asked Jeff.
The leader who hopped off the tank was Jeff.
“I was taking my troops in a military drill. Then we saw many people running away from their homes, so we came over,” Jeff answered, rubbing his head.
He was a senior colonel with the power and qualification to lead the Stillwater Fort. Besides, he preferred to stay in the fort and train the soldiers from time to time.
As a senior colonel from the border, Jeff often experienced life and death on the battlefield.
“General… General…”
Bang!
Ted’s men knelt on the ground. Ted had a murderous look earlier and wanted to kill Robin. However, he couldn’t move at all and was soaked in his cold sweat.
His face was also covered by his sweat as he was too scared.
“He’s a general… My gosh! Stillwater is such a small place… How could a general appear here?” Ted stammered.
He was frightened.
A general could lead the fort and take the troops to the war. If Robin lifted a finger, Ted believed that he could die easily. However, he was so blind that he offended a general.
Robin walked towards Ted. “I’m not only a general but General Eastern.”
‘General Eastern?’
Ted froze, realizing he was so doomed.
There were four prominent forts in Kisia. Fort Eastern was number one. General Eastern was known as Primus, leading over 100, 000 soldiers.
He was one of the most superior men in Kisia.
However, the general was standing in front of Ted.
No one in Stillwater could win against General Eastern. Let alone it was said he used to slaughter enemies of a whole city in war.
Ted felt chilly, as if he were in an ice cellar, shuddering.
“Ted Hall, right? Call your supervisor. Let me see who’s so bold to forcibly tear down people’s houses. Think Stillwater belongs to you?” Robin said to Ted.
“Yes… Yes….”
Ted had to obey. He pulled out a phone and dialed a number. “Hello, Mr. Chase. We… We have trouble…”
Before he finished speaking, a man’s voice sounded out on the other end of the line, “Have trouble? What the heck are you doing? Why can’t you handle such a trifle? You disgraced Chase Corporation. Wait there. I’ll go over with my men.”
The call ended.
Ted was wordless.
‘Mr. Chase, can’t you listen to me to finish speaking? You’ll come over with your men? Are you going to help me or add fuel to the fire?’
Ten minutes later, several Hummers arrived. A man hopped off the car in the lead, wearing sunglasses. “Let me see who has the guts to stop my business…”
Before he finished speaking, he broke off.
Then he wiped his eyes, swallowed hard, and sucked in his breath. “Holy shit! Is this a tank? Gosh! The troops!”
He approached the crowd, only to find a monster-like tank.
A massive group of armed soldiers was standing around it. The air was filled with a gunpowder smell as if those soldiers would fire at them.
“Ted Hall! Who the heck have you offended?”
The man pinched Ted’s neck, shaking him desperately.
However, before Ted answered, Robin said, “Brian Chase? Mr. Chase, long time no see.”
Robin gazed at Brian, a smile touching his eyes. He didn’t expect Brian was behind this project.
Last time, when they bet on the car racing, Brian lost but refused to pay money.
“You… Oh, that guy last time. How dare you appear in front of me again! Timothy Buosont backed you up last time. He’s not here today. Let me see what you can do.”
Brian gazed at Robin fiercely.
Last time, Timothy hit him because he refused to give money to Robin. Brian dared not to fight back for Timothy’s identity.
However, Timothy wasn’t on the scene now, and Brian decided to revenge on Robin.
Ted gaped at him in disbelief and despair.
He didn’t expect Brian to show up to teach a general a lesson. Even if the master of the Chase family came over, he wouldn’t have the guts to do so.
“Mr. Chase, we’ve annoyed this man,” Ted reminded Brian bitterly.
“What? He?”
Brian was surprised. Hatred filled his eyes. “Brat, I don’t care what you’ve done to invite the troops here to back you up. You know what? My Chase family is also influential in Stillwater. We also know people in the fort. I can resolve the problem with a phone call.”
“With a phone call?”
Robin looked at him with interest and flicked his hand. “Have a try.”
“Humph! You look down on my family, huh?”
Brian blew up, pulled out his phone, and dialed a number. “Hello, Uncle Carson? This is Brian. I’m in trouble now. I met a troop at South Street. Can you let them leave? My project needs to be carried on here.”
Carson Marshall was a close friend of Brian’s father, an important officer in the Stillwater Fort.
Brian believed Marshall could help him solve the problem.
However, after a long silence, Brian heard Carson sigh, “Alas… Brian, I’ll suggest your father give up on you. You’d better don’t be so silly in your next life. Alas… You dragged me into the mere.”
His words confused Brian.
“Hello, Uncle Carson… That…” Brian immediately added, looking baffled.
However, the call had ended, and he only heard beeps.
He realized Carson had hung up.
“Shit! What’s going on?”
Brian stared at his phone in confusion. Carson always liked him. However, he even mentioned letting Brian’s father give up on him.
“General Bailey, according to my investigation, the officer was Carson Marshall, a colonial in Stillwater Fort,” Jeff told Robin.
When Brian made the call, he started the investigation.
The investigating skills from Fort Eastern were excellent.
“Check if Carson Marshall has done anything against the military laws. If so, make him resign. Such an officer isn’t needed in any forts of Kisia,” Robin ordered, flicking his hand.
“Yes, General Bailey,” Jeff answered.
However, Brian burst into laughter. “Haha… So hilarious! Although I don’t know why Uncle Carson refused to help me, you even want to make him resign… Who do you think you are? Think you are a general?”
“I’m a general. Robin Bailey, known as General Eastern. Do you think I can do it?”
Robin curled his lips into a smile.
