“Why are you staying here? It’s a shabby house. Well, you look pretty. Why don’t you become my mistress? I’ll give you 2, 000 bucks a month. What do you think?”
Ted looked at Alexa up and down.
Alexa was good-looking with a sweet voice and had a perfectly curved body. Ted was attracted. The woman’s daughter was also a beautiful girl.
He didn’t mind raising the girl for a few years after her mother became his mistress.
“Fuck off!” Alexa snapped in disgust. “I’m not that kind of woman. If you want to tear down my house today, kill me first.”
“Bravo! I’ll make your wish come true.”
A murderous look flashed through Ted’s eyes. If the project went on smoothly, his company would reward him with 20, 000 dollars, and he believed he could find another mistress.
Therefore, he wanted to let the diggers run over Alexa.
After that, he would bury her dead body.
Ted hopped on a digger and drove towards Alexa.
Rumbling…
“Close your eyes, Josie.”
Alexa covered Josie’s eyes and turned around, ready to block the attack with her back. She had accepted her fate and wasn’t afraid of death.
The house belonged to her late husband’s family.
She would feel too ashamed to explain to her husband after meeting him in Heaven if it was torn down.
However, after waiting more than 10 seconds, Alexa didn’t feel the pain. She snapped open her eyes and saw a tall, sturdy figure standing protectively before her.
“Long time no see, Mrs. Mason,” Robin looked back and greeted her with a smile.
“Robin?”
Alexa couldn’t help but sob. She also had some relatives. However, after she had a financial problem, they stopped contacting her.
Robin had stayed in her house for a short while, but he stood out to protect her.
Her tears dropped on Josie’s cheeks, and the girl opened her eyes, huddling to her mother. However, she looked closer and yelled joyfully, “Robin!”
She recognized him.
“Hey, Josie,” Robin answered her.
Josie was older than Leslie, and Robin always thought she was a younger sister.
“Holy shit! How can there be a stranger?”
Ted found the digger stop moving and poked his head. He saw a man standing before the digger, raising his hand to stop it.
Ted was shocked as the man stopped the digger with a hand.
“Impossible! The digger must have broken down.”
Ted swallowed hard. He couldn’t believe a man had stopped a digger with an arm. Even if he were superman, he could haven’t done it.
Therefore, Ted believed the digger must be broken.
He hopped down, pointed at Robin’s nose, and cursed, “Who the fuck are you? Do you know whose territory this is? Our Lloyd Real Estate will build a commercial area here. How dare you stop us! You’d better get out of here. Now!”
“Get out? The last person who dares to speak to me like this is either in jail or in his graveyard. Which one do you prefer?” Robin sneered, his hands behind his back.
“In jail? Graveyard? How arrogant! Do you know anything about our Lloyd Real Estate? It’s the top one in Stillwater. We can kill you easily. How dare you offend us!” Ted retorted unhappily.
He didn’t lie, though. Lloyd Real Estate was one of the top enterprises in Stillwater, so it could easily handle ordinary people.
However, Robin wasn’t ordinary.
“Lloyd Real Estate? Just a small company. How dare you be so arrogant!” Robin arched an eyebrow.
“A small company? You do have a death wish to provoke us. I’m gonna teach you a lesson today.”
Ted immediately made a phone call.
A few minutes later, all employees working for Lloyd Real Estate on South Street gathered. Over a hundred with fierce looks, they looked horrible.
“See them, brat? Those are my men on site. 120 in total. Are you sure you want to fight against us?”
Watching the scene, Ted looked confident.
“Just some garbage. No matter how many men gather, they are useless. All junk,” Robin answered bluntly.
“Garbage? Bah! He’s alone. We have 120 in total. How arrogant he is!”
“That brat must have no idea how competent our Lloyd Real Estate is.”
“Haha… I really want to teach him a lesson.”
The gathered men roared in threatening tones.
They all worked for Lloyd Real Estate, and it wasn’t the first time they had done such a thing.
“Seen that? Even if my men were all junk, they would bury you,” Ted said in disdain.
“Proud of the number of your men?” Robin asked.
“Of course. The number of my men means my competence. Think I’ll fight with you one on one? I’m not that stupid. My men can kill you easily. Or at least you’ll be injured severely.”
Ted looked triumphant.
“All right. Why don’t you take a look behind you?”
Robin pointed at his back.
“Behind me?”
Ted turned around but didn’t see anything. He mocked, “Why? Do you want to use this way to distract my attention? Sorry. I won’t fall for it…”
Before finishing his words, he found the earth-shaking.
“What’s wrong?”
Ted sensed something wrong and felt the shake from his back. He immediately turned around, looking in the distance. Then his eye pupils constricted.
A monster-like tank appeared behind him.
Whenever it rolled forward, the earth shook.
Beside the tank, two fully-armed troops walked forward. Their weapons and uniforms were all new, emanating a murderous aura.
Boom!
The tank finally stopped before Ted. Three thousand soldiers held their guns, pointing at Ted and his men.
The soldiers strode forward in unison without any mistakes.
Evidently, they were well-trained.
“This is the military drill of Stillwater Fort.”
A man hopped off the tank. Ted believed it was the leader. Upon hearing it was a military drill, Ted breathed a sigh of relief as he had thought the troop had come over for him.
However, the leader saluted Robin, “Good day, General.”
Ted gaped his mouth in awe, realizing he had provoked a general.
