When Miranda and Elise left the ladies’ room, the onlookers in Piano Center had been dismissed.
“They are all gone…”
Miranda felt sorry as she was curious to discover what had happened. Many people had gathered, so she thought something must have happened and wanted to watch the fun.
“It’s alright,” Elise consoled her.
Then they bid each other farewell and separated.
The following morning, Elise was woken up by Miranda’s call. She fumbled for her phone on the nightstand and swiped to answer. “Miranda, it’s only six. Why are you calling me so early?”
The dawn had just broken the day.
“You know what I saw this morning? It turned out a piano master appeared at Piano Center yesterday. It’s said he’s a piano master. His hands were elegant, and he played the piano so well. I listened to the audio clip of his play. Whoa! I’m so obsessed with him now. Unfortunately, we missed the live show yesterday.”
“It doesn’t matter. I’ve decided to pursue him. I have a crush on him. He’ll be mine sooner or later. He’s so talented, so he deserves me. By the way, I have his video. For some reason, his face cannot be found online. Only his back was exposed. I’ll find him for sure.”
Then she sent a video clip to Elise.
Elise tabbed to watch the video. A man was sitting before a piano while playing it elegantly.
Shortly after, Elise was immersed in the song.
When he finished playing, Elise felt amazed by his talent. She couldn’t help but become obsessed with his song.
However, she also felt confused.
“Why does this man’s back look like…”
Elise looked at Robin, who was doing housework in the corridor as Karen had requested. She insisted Robin must do it to stay in their house. Elise objected to it but couldn’t convince Karen.
The man on the video reminded her of Robin.
Elise wondered if it was a coincidence or if the piano master was Robin.
“Honey?”
Elise flicked her hand at Robin.
“Yes?”
Robin entered the room.
“Turn around. Show me your back,” Elise requested.
“OK.”
Robin turned around. Elise held her phone to compare. The longer she looked at them, the more similar they seemed. She could almost be sure the piano master was Robin.
“Did you…” Elise was about to ask him a question.
Suddenly, she received a message from Miranda. “I looked for the piano master’s information. It’s said he’s the boyfriend of a student at the University of Stillwater. However, the girl’s name is still unknown so far.”
“The boyfriend of a student?”
Elise arched an eyebrow.
“What’s wrong, Honey?”
“Nothing. You can wake up Leslie now. She’ll go to school later.”
“OK.”
After exchanging a few words with Robin, Elise rubbed her forehead. “The piano master is studying at the University of Stillwater. He shouldn’t be Robin. What am I thinking of? I should stop imagining Robin as someone outstanding. Alas…”
She heaved a sigh.
Elise believed she knew Robin well, so she didn’t think he was the piano master.
Besides, according to Miranda, the piano master’s girlfriend was a student at the University of Stillwater. Elise was confident that Robin was loyal to her.
He would never find a girlfriend at the university, and no girls would fall in love with him.
Therefore, Elise believed it was coincident that his back looked like the piano master’s. Although she still felt something wrong, she’d rather think it was a coincidence only.
Miranda called her again.
Elise swiped to answer.
“Ah, Elise! I’m so pitiful. Finally, I have a crush on a man, but he has a girlfriend already. I suffer disappointment in love before falling in love. What should I do…” Miranda complained as soon as the call was connected.
“All right. You cannot do anything. Love depends on fate. You cannot force him to love you if he’s not destined to be yours.”
“Well, I can’t agree with you. They haven’t got married yet. Probably they’ll break up in the future. It took me such a long time to have a crush on a man. I’ll never give up. Never!” Miranda said affirmatively.
“By the way, Elise, the piano master’s back looks like Robin Bailey’s.”
“I also think so.”
“Right, but he shouldn’t be Robin. After all, he’s a piano master. Seen how graceful his hands look? How could he be the security guard? You should dump him ASAP.”
“Robin is my husband.”
After exchanging a few words, Elise went to work.
Robin also received a call and headed for the casino next to the university.
In the office on the second floor, Robin sat opposite Doug.
“Have you made up your mind?”
“Ehn. I have considered your suggestion for two days and nights. I want to take this chance. Probably, I can have a bright future with your help,” Doug answered seriously.
He thought about Robin’s suggestion for two days. This was the third day. Doug realized that a person who was ruthless and brave could succeed in the underworld.
He was born into an affluent family, but his parents passed away when he was little. They left him many properties and the commercial street. When he was young, countless people targeted his parents’ legacy.
If Doug hadn’t been ruthless and become famous in the underworld, his so-called relatives would have already taken over his assets and run away. Maybe, they would have done it in the name of his own good.
If Doug stopped being ruthless, he believed he would also go to the dogs even if he didn’t offend anyone. Therefore, he’d rather take the chance to become more powerful.
Besides, he trusted Robin, who seemed to be super influential.
“OK. Come to Fantasy with me.”
“Yes, Boss.”
Robin was amused. It turned out Doug was intelligent. He offered Doug a chance because Doug could deal with something for him.
However, if Doug was sensible enough, Robin wouldn’t mind offering him more benefits.
Half an hour later, Robin and Doug arrived with over 30 subordinates at Fantasy. It showed how sincere Doug was.
“Revitalization? The bar has changed its name.”
Robin looked up at the logo and saw the bar’s new name.
“I did it. After all, it’s a new beginning. I’m its new owner now,” a woman’s voice sounded out from the bar.
Then she swung out.
It was Emma. She didn’t wear the dress that she had worn the last time. Neither did she dress up sexually. Instead, she put on a plain dress without any heavy makeup.
She looked like a college student, much younger than several days ago.
