Simon Woods was excited as he found a perfect target on the bus. He had never met the girl, and she looked young and naive.
He was sure she had never been harassed.
Simon always took the bus route to work because it was always crowded. After he had taken advantage of a woman during rush hour, he couldn’t stop it at all.
Later, he also colluded with his friends to do such a nasty thing on the bus.
This time, he was in charge of taking advantage of the target. When he pretended to reach out casually, he darted at one of his friends.
The latter nodded in response.
A trace of lust flashed through Simon’s eyes. He clung to Nina leisurely and secretly reached to her hips.
‘Almost…’ his inner voice said.
Simon felt excited.
However, before he touched Nina, his arm was grabbed by a big hand. The next second, he felt a sharp pang.
“You have a death wish!” a man’s voice sounded out.
Click!
Simon immediately cried out in pain, falling to the ground.
“What’s wrong?”
The bus was fully packed. Therefore, all the passengers looked over, only to find a gentle-looking man wearing glasses lying on the floor.
Covering his arm, he rolled in pain.
“What’s the matter, young man?” a mid-aged woman stood out and asked him with concern.
“This bastard stole my cell phone. I found it and asked him to return the cell phone to me. He refused and broke my arm.”
Simon looked painful while lying on the floor, pointing at Robin.
He looked as if Robin was a criminal.
Other passengers dodged Robin and flinched. Almost all of them looked at Robin in suspicion.
The mid-aged woman walked to Robin, frowned, and asked, “Is it real, young man?”
“How could it be possible? My brother-in-law is a decent man,” Nina stood next to Robin and defended him.
Although she treated Robin rudely, she was willing to take Robin’s side at this critical moment. She didn’t think Robin would steal another man’s cell phone.
“Bad guys always declare they are decent,” Simon snorted.
“You said my brother-in-law had stolen your cell phone. Do you have evidence? Probably you stole my brother-in-law’s phone and slandered him,” Nina retorted.
She was protective of her family.
However, Simon sneered, “I certainly have evidence. This bastard stole my phone, so my phone is in his pocket. You can search him.”
That was his backup plan.
He had other partners on the bus. Once they were found, his partners would put their phones on their target to slander the person.
“Sure. We can frisk him.”
The mid-aged woman nodded. Looking over at the crowd, she asked, “Anyone wants to help this young man search for his phone? Male or female could do. Let’s find justice for him.”
Evidently, she was warm-hearted.
“Count me in.”
“Me too.”
Two men stood out to frisk Robin.
However, Robin was unwilling. Shaking his head, he refused, “You don’t have the right to frisk me.”
He was a famous general leading over 100, 000 soldiers. Of course, he was unwilling to be searched. Besides, no one had the right to do so.
“Are you afraid of exposing?”
The mid-aged woman gazed at him coldly. “They are men. Why don’t you let them search you? If you refuse, it means you’ve stolen this young man’s phone.”
“Exactly. You are also a man. Why don’t you just accept it and let them frisk you? If you are innocent, you should be afraid of nothing. If you refuse, we have to suspect you’ve stolen his phone.”
“He must be a thief. Haven’t you seen the young man on the floor? He’s in a suit and wearing glasses. How can such a gentleman slander him?”
“I agree. That young man looks well-educated.”
The onlookers’ gazes swept between Simon and Robin. After seeing Simon look gentle and well-educated, they didn’t think he had slandered Robin and believed it was Robin’s fault.
Besides, Robin refused to be searched.
“Let’s call the police. This pickpocket is harmful to society,” one onlooker suggested.
The bus driver even pulled over the bus to capture Robin.
“Young man, we want to search you. Or we all suspect you’ve stolen his phone,” the mid-aged woman approached Robin and said solemnly.
In her opinion, Simon looked gentle with the glasses and suit, so he must be working for a big company. Therefore, he wasn’t an evil man.
On the contrary, the longer she looked at Robin, the more he looked indecent.
“I refuse. You can call his phone number,” Robin said.
‘Call his phone number?’
Others were reminded. They looked over at Simon. The mid-aged woman nodded and echoed, “All right. Young man, can we call your number?”
“Why not?”
Simon nodded.
His phone wasn’t turned off, so he agreed to dial his number.
“Tell me your phone number.”
After telling the mid-aged woman about his number, Simon looked at Robin expectantly. The next second, his phone would ring in Robin’s pocket. Then the evidence would be solid.
Simon was sure the man would be taken to the police station and detained for more than ten days.
That was the lesson he taught Robin, for the latter broke his plan.
While Simon almost sneered, he heard the ringing tone in his pocket.
He stiffened, wondering why his phone was still in his pocket.
Simon was sure it was his ringing tone, but his phone was supposed to be in Robin’s pocket.
“Uh… Take it out.”
All the onlookers looked at Simon, blood draining from his face.
“Young man, take it out. I called your number. The ringing tone is from your pocket.”
The mid-aged woman ended the call.
The phone stopped ringing.
Then she redialed the number. The ringing tone sounded out again. Therefore, all the onlookers were sure the phone was in Simon’s pocket.
“Uh…”
Simon fumbled for the phone in his jacket. Finally, he pulled it out with a bitter smile. It was really his phone. He wondered what had happened.
It was supposed to be found in Robin’s pocket instead.
“Can you explain it, young man?” the mid-aged woman asked Simon.
The latter looked bitter. “Well… It might be a misunderstanding…”
