“Don’t be stubborn.”
Dillon reached out to stop Robin. However, after taking a step forward, he felt pain all over his body and spat blood, staining his clothes.
“Hey! Come back.”
After watching the scene, Emma was about to leave but couldn’t have the heart. Letting him lean against herself, she muttered, “Forget it. Let me do charity today.”
“No worries, Dillon,” Robin darted at Dillon to relieve him.
Then he reminded Emma, “I’ll give you 20% of the money I win tonight as your tips.”
“Ah. You don’t need to. Forget it,” Emma refused, shaking her head in fear.
In her opinion, if Robin lost 400, 000 dollars, she would also owe Scar 80, 000 dollars.
She was already poor. The 80, 000 dollars would be too much. Besides, Robin would lose his life if he lost.
The more Emma considered it, the more frightened she became, so she refused Robin immediately.
“Brat, you are indeed bold to gamble with your life. Enjoy your last moment in this world. Since you’re dying soon, I’ll let you choose a game so you can suffer less before dying. five-card stud, cards, dice, or blackjack?”
Louis was also extremely arrogant.
However, he deserved it. After all, he was the top gambler in Stillwater. Therefore, he was worth like million bucks.
“What are you best at” Robin asked indifferently.
“Me? Why? Do you want to defeat me in the game I’m most good at? You are too young, too simple,” Louis laughed loudly.
The onlookers also burst into laughter. After all, an unknown ordinary man wanted to challenge Gambling Master’s apprentice.
“Haha… Since you asked, let me tell you. I’m good at shaking dice the most. Do you know how to play it? It’s simple. Guess the points. The one who guesses the points correctly will win.”
Louis shook the dice in his hands.
“All right. Let’s shake dice. Tell me your rules.”
Robin sounded like he knew nothing.
“My rules? You really know nothing about it. OK. Let me tell you the simplest rule. You and I shake once, respectively, before guessing our own points. What do you think?”
“All right.”
They agreed on this rule.
A dealer carried two dice cups to the table and showed them to the onlookers indicating that she wasn’t cheating. After the two confirmed the dice cups were OK, the dealer asked them to choose one.
“After you,” Louis said to Robin calmly.
Robin picked up the one that was nearby.
“Guess who will win?”
“Seriously? Mr. Cook, of course. Haven’t you seen how calm he is? It means he’s confident of winning against this young man.”
“The other guy also looks calm.”
“He must be faking.”
After discussing with each other, the onlookers believed Louis would win the game.
“Do you want to shake first?” Louis asked.
“After you,” Robin nodded at him.
“All right.”
With a smile, Louis picked up his dice cup and shook the dice a few times without a stop.
In the end, he smashed the cup onto the table with a bang.
“It’s your turn now.”
A smile blossomed across Louis’s face as he got the points he wanted.
However, Robin picked up his dice cup without shaking it and put it on the table. “I’m done.”
“Done?”
Louis was taken aback.
“Right.”
Robin nodded.
‘Seriously? Is he here making fun of himself?’ others wondered, including Dillon.
Despair was written all over Emma’s face. She had thought there might be a miracle. However, evidently, Robin would lose.
She wouldn’t get tips from him for sure. The thought made Emma stop dreaming about her tip.
Leaning against her, Dillon watched the scene worriedly and anxiously. He said, “Robin, at least you should try to win. Did you come here just to die with me?”
He thought Robin wanted to die with him for the sake of their friendship.
How hilarious!
“Are you making fun of me?” Louis was annoyed, his face dark.
“Why? Don’t you dare to play it?”
A smile played on Robin’s lips.
“Bullshit! You are just too weak. Bring me a gun. Once I tell my points, you can open my dice cup and shoot him.”
Louis flicked his hand.
The next second, a man walked out from the crowd with a pistol, pointing it against Robin’s forehead.
“I got five, six, and six points, 17 in total. Open it and shoot him!” Louis yelled at the man impatiently.
Then he snapped at Scar, “Scar, can you stop bothering me in the future? I’m Gambling Master’s apprentice. You can’t ask me to gamble with Tom, Dick, and Harry.”
He had thought Robin was a tough gambler.
Much to his surprise, it turned out to be a stupid green hand. Louis was disappointed, thinking it was a waste of his time.
He’d rather shoot Robin directly.
“Why haven’t you shot him?”
Louis didn’t hear the gunshot for a while. He snapped impatiently, “What the heck are you doing? Does it take you forever to open my dice up? Hurry up!”
However, when he turned around, he saw the man had opened Robin’s dice cup without shooting Robin.
“What’s going on? You’ve opened the cup, so you should shoot him. Why are you standing there?”
Frowning, Louis was enraged, wondering why that man was so slow, unlike Scar. He thought the man didn’t deserve to work for Scar.
“Dude, what are you waiting? Shoot that brat!”
“You are so slow. After opening Mr. Cook’s dice cup, you should shoot the brat. He is too arrogant. I agree to shoot him!”
“Girls, turn around. It’ll be too bloody.”
The onlookers also prompted. As the patrons of this basement nightclub, they were no decent people at all. The dice cup was between Robin and Scar’s men, so they couldn’t see the points.
To avoid cheating, they couldn’t be close to the table. However, all of them thought Robin must have lost.
“Alas…” Emma heaved a sigh and closed her eyes.
Dillon bit his lip and widened his eyes while watching. In fact, he wanted to rush to Scar and exchange his life for Robin’s.
However, he was injured so severely that he couldn’t take one step at all.
Scar’s men swallowed hard, looked at Louis, and stammered, “Well, Mr. Cook… I need to tell you something. Please keep calm.”
“Speak!”
“OK. You made a wrong guess,” the man answered and moved aside.
Moving Louis’s dice up to him, he added, “You didn’t get 17 points but six in total. A one, a two, and a three.”
“This man got seven points. One point higher than yours.”
