The three gangsters showed the way, and Robin and Dillon followed them into a basement.
The basement was dark and gloomy. Dillon exhaled and explained, “This is a basement nightclub founded by several spa centers in town. There are eight exits, but Scar owns all the spa centers.”
After all, only a man like Scar could make all the others listen to him.
At the entrance of the basement nightclub, two bruisers were standing. They glanced at Robin and Dillon and let them in. Evidently, Scar had informed them ahead of time.
Before opening the door, they heard loud noises from inside. Robin pushed the door open and glanced around. There were several big gambling tables. The room was fully packed and noisy.
“Good evening, Handsome. What would you like to play? Dice, cards, or just the five-card stud? I can show you the way.”
A woman with a tight dress walked to them. A high cut of her dress’ hemline reached her thigh, exposing her fair, tender legs in the air. She had a curved figure with curly hair. Under the dim light of the room, her red lips looked enchanting.
“I’m Emma, your date tonight.”
Emma winked at Robin seductively.
Several girls in tight dresses were behind her. Seeing Emma actively hit on Robin, they burst into laughter.
“She’s too horny, isn’t she? How could she hit on such a man? Stupid bitch!”
“She’s new here. I understand why she’s so eager to hit on men.”
“Emma only deserves such a target. Look at the two men. One has been beaten black and blue. I bet their jackets won’t cost 50 bucks in total. TSK. TSK. They must be here to pay the debts.”
“How could Emma hit on such men? I bet the two couldn’t even afford her tips.”
All the women mocked Emma, a green hand who had just started working in the nightclub a few days ago. Other women detested her because of her charming figure, so they always isolated her.
For three days, Emma didn’t have any clients.
Therefore, she eagerly hit on Robin.
Meanwhile, Robin looked poor, so other women disdained him and his friend. Otherwise, they would never let Emma get close to them.
Robin tilted his head to look at her. He had to admit she had an excellent shape but couldn’t be compared to Elise. Besides, their temperaments were different. Emma was a prostitute. However, Robin didn’t think it was his business.
“Where is Scar?” he asked Emma.
“Scar?”
Emma was taken aback, wondering why he asked about the nightclub’s owner. However, she pointed in a direction and answered, “Over there. At the big round table.”
“OK. Please help me take care of my friend.”
Robin let Dillon lean against Emma.
“Wait! What are you doing…”
“I’ll tip you well.”
Robin’s words stopped Emma from refusing. Emma tried her best to help Dillon stand for the money’s sake. Although she doubted Robin’s promise, she had no other client.
Therefore, she was willing to believe Robin.
Robin strode to the center of the room, only to find Scar had sent other patrons away, who were standing aside watching them curiously.
Standing next to the round table, Scar was smoking. The scar on his face looked horrible under the dim light. Next to him stood an old man with a goatee beard.
He was in his sixties, older than the other people in the room.
“What’s going on? Something big will happen, right?”
“Of course. See Scar’s expression? Also, that man with a goatee beard. You should know who he is. He’s Louis Cook, pretty famous in this nightclub.”
“Louis Cook? Gambling Master’s apprentice?”
Others were shocked and couldn’t believe Louis was going to gamble tonight. He was the top gambler in this nightclub and was skillful. His master was the well-known Gambling Master.
Louis’ master was Stephen Hanover, who once won several billion dollars in Cuerbaro’s casinos.
As Stephen’s apprentice, Louis had never lost in Stillwater, let alone in other big cities. In fact, he had never been defeated in the past ten years.
“The other party must be pretty tough.”
Others guessed Louis would gamble with someone skillful in gambling. If not mistaken, the other party should be a bigwig.
“Are you guys here to watch the game?”
While helping Dillon walk, Emma caught up with Robin. She asked curiously, “Did you know there would be a game long ago? We just heard of it.”
“Right. I knew it earlier than you did. I’m going to gamble in the game,” Robin answered.
“You’ll join the game?”
Emma stared at him in confusion, watching him walk to the table and stand before Louis.
“Holy shit! They are here to make trouble.”
Emma’s hair stood on end. She didn’t expect the two men came to make trouble for Scar. Immediately, she wanted to toss Dillon out of the nightclub.
However, seeing the weak man beside her, she hesitated and didn’t do it.
“I thought you’d escaped.”
Scar took a drag of the cigarette and exhaled. Then he tossed the cigarette butt to the ground and nodded at Louis while making an introduction.
“He’s Mr. Cook, our best gambler. By the way, he’s Gambling Master’s apprentice and has never lost a game over the years. Be careful.”
Scar curled his lips in excitement.
After Louis worked in his nightclub, his casino earned great money.
“By the way, how much do you have to exchange the chips?” Scar asked Robin.
Robin told him he would pay Dillon’s debt without hesitation, so Scar believed he was affluent. He guessed Robin might have several hundred million dollars, so he wanted to make money from Robin.
Much to his surprise, Robin shook his head. “I don’t have a dime.”
“Did you make fun of me?”
Scar’s expression changed dramatically, wondering if Robin had tricked him.
It seemed he was just a poor man.
‘Damn it!’ Scar cursed inwardly.
“I’m poor, but I’ll gamble with my life. My life should cost at least 200, 000 dollars, right? Well, in fact, you are lucky. My life is priceless.”
Robin didn’t lie.
On Dark Web, anyone who could end Robin’s life would be rewarded with more than a trillion dollars.
“Interesting!”
Scar grinned at him, looking ferocious. Then he ordered his men, “Give him 200, 000-dollar chips. I’d love to watch him how he loses.”
One of his men fetched the chips hurriedly.
“You are so dead.”
Emma gaped at the scene. Robin would gamble for his life, so she didn’t think she could get his tips. She would work for nothing tonight again.
