Samantha’s POV
The short drive to the hotel was quiet, I and Kayden preferred to stay silent for the whole trip.
We finally alighted from the car and walked in.
“Uhm… Kayden, I want to have just a moment with Marie, I will be back soon.” I said to him and he nodded slightly before walking into the room we were to share.
“Marie.” I called as I pulled her into the room she would be staying.
“I don’t understand her, what sort of girl is she?” Cara rolled her eyes.
“Let’s try to find that out because I don’t get why she would be trying to push herself on someone else.”
“What’s up with you? I already told you that James is not single and he does not have the space for other women in his heart.” I said to her and she nodded slightly.
“I think that’s true, I would not disturb him anymore then. I would wish him a happy relationship, I am just that girl who wishes to have every guy I so desire.” she replied me.
“You can have the guys you so desire but not James, he is simply out of bounds.” I said to her and she nodded, pressing her lips into a thin line.
“I would be guessing that you are done with him then.”
“I am really done with him, from his reaction, I can very well see that he loves his girlfriend very much, she is such a lucky soul.” She replied
“Yes she is.” I mumbled with a smile on my lips.
“Okay, so much for today. Order for your meal, anything you want and do not hesitate to call on me if you need anything, I and Kay are just in the next room.” I added and she nodded.
I walked out of the room but not without looking back at her one more time to ensure that she was really serious about what I was telling her to do.
She looked sincere so I let out a smile and walked out of the room.
James was just stepping into the corridor of the rooms when I stepped out, he was back later than we were because he was in the car, definitely talking to his darling Cassie.
“Hey James, sorry about earlier. I already talked to her, she had promised me that it would not happen again.” I said to him..
“It’s nothing, you do not need to apologize to me, you are not in the wrong.” he replied me.
“Thanks for letting go easily.” I said to him.
“I would get leaving then.” I turned to leave but him calling my name made me halt for a moment.
“Yes?” I asked him and he moved closer to me, looked around before speaking.
“About what you asked me to look into, I would make sure I begin it this night, by tomorrow, I should have some tangible reports to give to you. Do not forget to come see me” he said.
“Thanks and of course I would come see you, you can’t come see me because then Kayden would know about it all and I can’t let that happen just yet.” I replied him.
“Your ways are cool.” he gave me thumbs up, bowed slightly and walked into his own room.
“I can’t wait Samantha.” Cara said to me.
“Me too Cara, I can’t wait to know if my suspicions are correct or if I am simply over thinking things.”
I sighed softly and headed into our own room also, it was a nice, huge room, the color was mainly white and the bed spreads blue with red roses.
Kayden was sitting on the bed with a smile on his tired face, he seemed to be quite worn out just as I was too.
“Kayden.” I called with a grin, trying to hide my fatigue.
“Come over here babe.” he ushered me and I moved closer to him with a huge smile on my face.
“Take a look at you, you are getting chubby.” he said pulling my cheeks and my eyes widened.
“Chubby?” I gasped.
“Oh no! Cara we can not afford to get fat.”I exclaimed to Cara.
” Yes and you are looking even more beautiful when looking chubby.” Kayden added but I did not really believe his words.
I grabbed the mirror and checked my face out in the mirror, it was true, I was really gaining more weight and my cheek was getting fatter giving me a chubby look.
“I have to start working out.” I said to him with a grumble.
“Hey, don’t stress yourself out. You are always beautiful to me, slim or chubby, as long as you are the one, my love for you remains unchanged Mantha.” he said to me and reached for my lips which I gave him access to.
We kissed shortly before breaking the kiss.
“I… I feel like puking.” I said to him and clasped my right hand over my mouth as I ran into the restroom.
I could hear Kayden’s heavy footsteps behind me as I dashed into the place to empty up my stomach.
After throwing up, I cleaned my mouth up and splashed water on my face.
“What just happened right now?” Kayden asked.
“I have no idea what happened, maybe I ate something bad?” I asked, trying to figure out what was wrong with my body system that made me puke all off a sudden.
“Something bad, I do not think so, we have been eating the same meal for days now.” he replied and that was true, if I was throwing up due to some meal then he should be throwing up too, shouldn’t he?
“Maybe he has a higher resistance as an Alpha?” Cara suggested.
“That is possible but still I have the feeling that it is not because of any meal, I have not eaten anything bad.” I replied Cara as Kayden pampered me into the room.
“I would get a doctor to come for you babe. Just a little bit of time.” he said.
“I am very fine now, I no longer feel anything. Whatever was the issue is gone, there’s no need for you to call on the….”
“I can’t take risks when it comes to you, I would call the doctor.” he insisted and grabbed his phone.
“Seriously I am really fine.” I said to him.
“You may be fine now but what if you are….. Cone to think of it Mantha, what if you are pregnant?!”
