Samantha’s POV
I was already jiggy with excitement, what I had just heard was such a good news.
“That is nice.” Kayden replied me and I leapt on him, kissing his face all over.
“It is not just nice, it is awesome Kayden and all of this is possible because of you, I so much love you Kayden.” I said to him and he wrapped his arms around my waist and jerked me closer to his body.
I had to place my hand on his chest to stop myself from falling onto his hard chest. He reached for my lips right at that moment, slowly but it was getting too slow, I moved closer and fused our lips together in a hot kiss.
Our tongues got involved in a romantic entanglement as we both kissed hard, my hands were over his body as I tried to unbutton his buttons.
“You really want to do it in the car?” Kayden asked into my ears and his words seemed to bring a little but of sense to me, like what in the world am I doing?
I pulled back from the kiss, kissed his forehead only and plopped back to my own chair.
“We… We should go on.” I stuttered.
“We should go to see James, what do you think? Let’s meet this Marie once and for all.” Kayden replied me.
“Nice.”
The car zoomed off and tore through the empty roads for minutes that later turned into an hour.
After the pretty long ride, Kayden stopped the car.
“Is this where James is?” I asked him.
“C’mon, you have not had a single meal since morning, you should eat something.” he replied me.
“I can eat later on.” I replied.
“Later on….. If you do not eat now, I might just eat you, not in the car, but right here in front of everyone.” he replied me with a naughty smirk and I pouted, feigning annoyance.
“But I am really not so hungry.” I said to him.
“Oh, we know we are hungry.” Cara said to me.
“We can’t miss seeing Marie.” I replied her and my stomach grumbled.
“Okay, who just said I am not hungry?” Kayden asked, searching around dramatically.
“Fine, let’s go have a meal Alpha Kayden.” I replied him and he held my hand, we already took few steps before he stopped.
“What did you just call me?” He asked.
“Alpha Kayden.”
“Why should you add the Alpha title? You are making me sound like I am one of those people who is very distant from you.” he said to me.
“No matter what name I call you, it is what I feel in my heart that matters. Calling you Alpha Kayden would help you remember your duties as an Alpha more so for now, I might call you that.” he replied.
“C’mon, is there a time that I have ever forgotten my task, my responsibilities as the alpha?” He asked.
“No, and we would better keep things just that way.” I replied him.
“No! I do not like you calling me Alpha.” he shook his head.
I shook my head too with a soft smile, I held onto his shoulders, and stood on my toes, lifting myself up a bit and kissing his right cheek.
“Okay, I would not call you Alpha Kayden any more, is the kiss enough apology?” I asked him and could see the smile at the corner of his lips but it suddenly vanished.
“The kiss is definitely not enough, you are not a high school kid, how in the world can a kiss on the cheek be enough?” he asked.
“You are so greedy.” I said to him, ruffling his already ruffled hair and how cute did he look.
He ruffled my own hair too while smiling at me widely.
We eventually walked into the restaurant and ordered for our meals.
During the meal, I knew I was a bit distant with my conversation with Kayden, I was more occupied with thinking about what Davis could know and could be.
I felt tempted several times to tell Kayden about it but then he trusts Davis too much and he is definitely going to wave it off, he would never believe what I say go him.
“What’s wrong? Is there anything bothering you?” He asked softly, his hands covering mine.
“No…. I am fine.” I replied with a smile that I guessed he could easily point out as a fake smile.
“Are you keeping things from me? Let me know whatever is going on.” he requested.
“Are you sure you are going to see things from my own perspective?” I asked him.
“Of course.” he replied, his second hands, caressing my own other hand.
“I don’t think so.” I looked away but he raised up his hand from my hand and turned my head back towards him to face him.
“You can’t see things the way I want you to see it.”
“I want you to know that I would always support you.”
“I know you will.” I said to myself.
“You are supporting me very much but this time, you might not support me on this so can I just get some evidence, some proof on this issue before I let you know what it is. With the proof, there is the high possibility that you would see things just the way I am viewing them right now.” I replied Kayden.
“Sure but whatever you are going to engage in to get your evidence, make sure it is not dangerous, if there is anything that I can’t afford losing, it is you Mantha.” he said to me and I grinned at him.
“I promise you I am going to be very fine.” I said to him and he patted my hair.
“If you need my assistance, you can get it at any time.”
“Sure, that’s why you have always being a darling to me.” I said to him, picked meat from my plate and fed it to him.
“Wow! How does it taste super good when you are feeding it to me?” He asked and I smiled at his actions and words.
“You flatterer.”
“I am not, this tastes so good. Imagine how the person giving it to me tastes then, she tastes so good.” he winked at me and I quickly stiffed his mouth with food before he could say another word.
“Just a few days or few weeks, I would try to find out things about Davis myself and I would let you, Kayden know about it then.” I said to myself with firm determination to do so.
