Samantha’s POV
I was still checking out my legs and caressing the place where Alpha Kayden had touched, his hands and fingers were like trophies to me.
The door opened and Cassie walked in to see me giggling. She stared at me in that manner that said you are sure weird.
“What happened to your leg?” She asked.
“Nothing much. Just spilt Alpha Kayden’s food and then the plates broke and pierced my legs.” I replied and giggled again.
“How am I supposed to tell Cassie that I got involved in a kissing session with Alpha Kayden and that made the plate of food fall to the floor,” I whispered to myself
“Wow! Such a nice incident to giggle about.” Cassie added in a way that told me she knew there was more.
“C’mon, stop thinking about it too much.” I nudged her.
“Okay, well giggling miss. Alpha Kayden asked you to send his lunch to his office.” Cassie said and my heart skipped several beats.
“Like… I should take food to his office?” I asked Cassie and she nodded.
“Alpha Kayden told me to tell you that personally. You spilt his food, I think you should be the one to send it and then… Who knows? It might be an opportunity for you.” Cassie teased.
“B… But wouldn’t it be a little bit awkward to take food to his office?” I asked.
“C’mon, you have to go anyways. Alpha Kayden is still the young master, you have to obey his orders,” she replied and I nodded.
“Where exactly is his office?” I asked.
“I can’t say, I bet he would have someone to take you there” Cassie replied and I skipped off.
I ran into the kitchen and began packing food for Alpha Kayden, I was done in minutes and I smiled at the packed meal.
I placed it in a bag and walked out of the mansion. I had gotten to the gate when I was stopped by some other wolves.
“Where are you off to?” One of them asked.
“Alpha Kayden asked me to send this meal to his office,” I replied and they all looked at each other, exchanged glances and burst into loud laughter.
“Alpha Kayden asked you to send him a meal.” another asked and I nodded.
“Just get back in.” he urged.
“Get back? You can call Alpha Kayden yourself, don’t blame anyone but yourself when he returns and I let him know that you are the reason I was unable to do what he asked me to.” I replied to them.
“I am going to call Alpha Kayden right now and if I find out that you wasted my time, I would not spare you, little girl,” he said and Cara huffed in me.
“Who is he referring to as a little girl? I am an Alpha and the mate of Alpha Kayden also, how can he refer to me as a little girl?” Cara grumbled.
“He is simply an ignoramus,” I replied Cara and watched him call Alpha Kayden.
“There’s a girl here Alpha and she insists you asked her to send a meal to your office Alpha.” the guy said on the phone.
“Ugh… Okay… Yes sir.” he ended the call and did a few things on his phone before thrusting it into my hands.
“Alpha Kayden asked me to give this to you,” he said and my eyes lit up. I now had another phone.
“And the both of you send Miss. Mantha to Alpha Kayden’s office.” the guy ordered two other guys and I was ushered into a car.
I sat in the backseat and leaned into the softness of the seat. The drive started and the air was just too cool. I tucked my hair behind my ears.
Kayden’s POV
The door opened and Davis walked in.
“What about the mark?” I asked him.
“I kind of found nothing about the mark,” he replied.
“No family makes use of it?” I asked and he shook his head.
“Whatever mark it is, it is sure a very old one and it is hard to find out things about it,” he replied and I stared at the picture of the mark again.
“You don’t think this looks mysterious?” I asked.
“It sure looks mysterious and even arouses my curiosity, I am also very much interested in this and I will try to find out something about this mark but then I am not sure that I would be able to find out something tangible,” he replied.
“I don’t need something tangible, I need anything,” I replied.
“Sure Alpha Kayden, I would take my leave now,” he said and walked out of the office.
Immediately he was out, the door opened again and at once I recognized the scent… Lauren.
I looked up to see her staring at me, she bowed slightly before walking forward.
There was no way she could have gotten into this place if not with the help of Davis.
“What are you doing here? I am very busy, I would appreciate it if you leave right now.” I said to her, diverting my gaze back to the pile of documents.
“Alpha Kayden… I am sorry… I might not like Samantha that much but… But what you think I did to her, I did not do all of that, I did not do a thing to her without a reason, I treated her like every other maid.” she said and I sighed.
“You know that I would sure really appreciate it if you just leave and that I might just get over and do something to you if you continue being here,” I replied her.
“Alpha Kayden… You need to believe me, you have to trust me. I love you so much and I would never harm you, just give me a chance in your life, I would be the perfect Luna that you do desire.” she pleaded.
“If you don’t get out in three seconds, you will be getting thrown out,” I mumbled and yet she stood still.
I grabbed the phone.
“Three in three,” I said into the phone and dropped it.
The door opened almost immediately and three guards stepped in.
“You want to get whisked away, right?”
“This… This is not fair, I would leave myself,” she grumbled and walked out of the office with the other three guards trailing after her.
I shook my head and checked the wristwatch, Samantha should be here any moment from now.
