Samantha’s POV
I woke up on a soft material, having a slight headache but even at that I still felt a bit good, I had a peculiar scent on me, a scent that I could pick up and recognize anywhere, Alpha Kayden’s scent.
It was all over my body and as hard as I tried to remember if we met yesterday I could not remember. All I remembered was drinking and then my memories goes blank.
“Cassie,” I called, getting up from my bed and pulling off my clothes in a hurry to go to a bath.
I bet I woke up late and I knew that I still had to clean up the house. Only I and Cassie resided in this room in the quarters, the other maids I guess were in other rooms and it was super great that it was that way.
“Good morning Samantha.” Cara greeted.
“Good morning Cara,” I replied, getting into the bathroom.
I heard the door of the room open at that moment.
“That must be Cassie,” I said to Cara.
“Cassie, what happened yesterday in the club? Why can’t I remember a thing?” I asked her.
“You were drunk Samantha, really drunk. I told you not to drink too much but you still went ahead to,” she replied.
“did I do anything weird?” I asked her, my voice slow in a way that it seemed like I was picking my words.
“I have no idea, I went off to the restroom and by the time I was back, I could not find you anymore” she replied.
“You could not find me? How did I get home then?” I asked her.
“While searching for you, I found Alpha Kayden, he had you with him and… He brought you home.” She explained.
“Why did you let him bring me home?” I asked her.
“Ugh? What could I do to him? Stop Alpha Kayden? Anyways, he said he is going to punish me for failing to look over you carefully.” She added.
“That overbearing Alpha,” I mumbled.
“What did you say?” Cassie asked.
“Nothing… I would be out soon, let’s both partake in his punishment.” I replied to her and focused on bathing.
“If he took me home, that explains his scent off me, right?” I asked Cara.
“I think you should be asking me what exactly happened. Your human side got easily drunk not me.” Cara replied.
“What. Happened?” I picked my words.
“Yesterday night, you. you were drunk, a guy approached you and you went dancing with him, I tried my best to talk you out of it but no! You had lost your senses already, you had lost it to whatever exactly you were drinking.” she replied to me.
“And then what happened? Alpha Kayden finding me?” I asked curiously.
“He came and took you away from the guy that was dancing with you… He… He even threatened to kill the guy.” Cara replied and my body shuddered.
“And what?”
“He took you out of the club and you were drunkenly yelling at him then he kissed you and….”
“What? Alpha Kayden kissed me?!” I almost screamed out my lungs.
“Didn’t he reject me because he did not like me? Why then did he kiss me again?” I grumbled.
“Let me continue when he broke the kiss… You kissed him back.” Cara said and I touched my lips, running my fingers over them.
I also kissed him back!
“You both got into the car and… And you kind of made out” Cara grinned with a chuckle.
“Do you think my mode of dressing brought him closer to me?” I asked Cara.
“Maybe! You are right! He suddenly kissed you seeing you in that hot dress, that must have been the case!” Cara said and I grinned endlessly, giggling.
“I must buy more of those dresses and wear it each time, let me see him try to reject me again.” I grinned.
“Okay, you are never going to get out of the bathroom?” Cassie asked.
“Just a minute!” I replied her.
“Who brought me to my room?” I asked Cara.
“That… I have no idea, we were asleep.” Cara replied.
“It must have been him anyways. There was no way he could have let go of me, looking so hot and beautiful in that dress.” I said to Cara.
“Of course!”
I walked out of the bathroom, grinning from ear to ear.
“Something good happened in the bathroom?” Cassie asked me.
“In the bathroom? What could I ask her?
“That is what I am supposed to ask you too. You came out looking so damn happy.” she pointed out.
“Take a look out of the window. It’s such a bright and beautiful day.” I said to her not looking at the window at all.
“Are you sure you are perfectly fine? It’s a cloudy day, it seems like it’s going to rain.” Cassie said to me and I let out small nervous laughter.
“I might have been wrong, forget about it but the day is still beautiful.” I grinned at her and dressed up in my maid’s clothing.
I could hardly wait to finish cleaning up so I could change into one of the beautiful dresses that I had bought and hopefully Alpha Kayden would see me in it.
I giggled endlessly but stopped when I felt a hand on my forehead.
“What’s wrong with you?” A deep voice asked and I looked up to see James.
“Hey, James.” I grinned at him.
“You found your love? Why are you so freaking happy?” He asked.
“You would never understand.” I grinned.
“Sure enough, a heart in love is a dumb heart.”
“Who is dumb?” I frowned playfully.
“I didn’t point out to anyone, did I, Cassie?” James asked.
“Of course, you did not, but then why is someone feeling pained by your words? Maybe the person being pained is the one with the heart in love.” Cassie chuckled and I covered my heated face.
“Wait, why am I blushing this much? Alpha Kayden has not told me himself that he loves me.” I said to Cara.
“That is going to happen very soon.”
