Chapter 88

Book:Cursed Alpha's Witch Mate Published:2024-5-31

Diana abruptly stopped walking, and Ella followed suit, saying, “I suppose here is where I need to stop.” Neither woman had ever turned or experienced the full moon, so Ella had no tale to tell.
The only thing Ella could see as she looked around were more shrubs. To find the cave, Diana indicated that it was to the right.
“To get there, just keep going in a straight line. Really, I’m sorry, Ella, but I just can’t take it any further than this. ”
” Just fine, fine, and I totally get it. “Ella bowed and said, “Thank you so much.
Her hands were cupped correctly as she said, “Alright, then. Diana tapped her on the arm and left, “Good luck,” while Ella took a deep breath and continued.
The red-eyed wolf howled loudly as he pounced on Viscar, who was already sprinting for the door. The wolf only needed four bounds to reach Viscar, who was standing at the door. Taken by surprise, he grabbed his leg and was swept off the floor. “Urgh! ” Spenser’s wolf was unbeatable, but Viscar grunted irresistibly as he shoved it off and made it to the exit.
The wolf attacked him before he could get three steps away from the door, forcing him to the ground as he moaned in anguish. He scratched Viscar’s face and right leg twice with his claws. “Spenser!!! “He called out the name, hoping to reach the man, but the enraged wolf smashed his face in with such force that he lost consciousness.
The Doctor had gotten the better of Viscar’s corpse and was making a break for it, but the enraged wolf had other plans.
In an instant, he had caught up with the elderly guy and was yanking him to the ground. “No! No! Please! Carcus screamed as he looked into the wolf’s fiery orbs of vision, but the predator was no friend as it wrapped its claws around his neck and knocked him out.
It raised its head and stared at the sky, letting out a deep roar that caused Ella to drop her tea cup out of fear. She recoiled in horror at the sight of the large white wolf standing over the lifeless body, bleeding from several wounds.
Because of her panic, the wolf had turned to gaze at her. Finding a young girl in front of him, all it could sense was the need of blood.
Ella was already shivering at the spot as her eyes became locked with those of the dangerous wolf. Diana’s words came flooding into her brain in echoes, but it was already too late to make apologies as she was already in the lion’s den. The wolf yipped and flicked its dew claw at her. It heightened Ella’s anxieties. No; this was beyond her control. It had never occurred to her. When she heard the wolf coming, she whirled around and screamed, “Run!” but the animal was on her trail.
“Arghhhh!!!!
It seemed like an echo when she screamed. A wolf had never attacked her before. She had no idea how to deal with this, and now it was happening to her.
“Let me go!! Please!! “Her life flashed before her eyes as she screamed over the animal’s howls. She pleaded, “Please, don’t harm me.”
The sky shook with a loud, unusually loud crack that occurred during the full moon. The enraged wolf spun, growled lowly, and cocked its head as though becoming disoriented while Ella stared, frightened and bewildered.
Then, without warning, it froze, its crimson eyes blazing intently as it peered into Ella’s wet ones. “Please don’t harm me. “The phrase echoed throughout his brain. For some reason, he heard it as a demand and couldn’t refuse it.
Ella, still gasping for air, looked into the She saw a softening of the wolf’s previously apparent toughness. It moaned and drew back, seeming peaceful and pathetic.
It sunk its claws into the earth, took a good look around, and then settled its eyes on the terrified person in front of him.
The thought that went through his thoughts…. There was clearly something in his brain that wasn’t right.
The wolf whimpered again and rushed back into its den.
Because of the discomfort in her lungs, Ella finally let out a sigh of relief as soon as that occurred. She felt her arm, which had four cuts and blood on it, and panicked. Urgh! It stung like the dickens….
Her body was still shaky from the previous incident, but she slowly got to her feet. She looked down and saw the tea that had been spilt on the floor.
Oh, no…. If she had it, she would have kept it. But now she’s late, too!
When she turned back, she saw Viscar lying unconscious on the floor. They were going to get better and recover consciousness soon, for sure, but maybe she should simply get out of there now. She probably should have fled for her life when the Wolf mysteriously abandoned her. She redirected and started walking away, only to halt abruptly. There was clearly an issue. Why had the wolf suddenly become calm and abandoned her? Not a peep had been heard from it when it retreated into the cave.
Is anything possibly wrong? She stood there, bewildered and contemplative. And after wading through a sea of doubt for quite some time, she eventually set off on foot in the direction of the cave.
She proceeded slowly and steadily towards the cave entrance, but when she reached it, she stopped suddenly. What if she was making another mistake and it would attack her again? But…. Even with her best efforts, she was unable to pick up even the faintest of noises coming from the cave.
Okay, it was imperative that she investigate more. She kept on her way, counting her steps, and as she reached the entrance, her heart leapt with excitement at the sight of the White Wolf.
Okay, it was only natural for her heart to race when she saw the wolf, but when she saw that it was only resting on the floor next to the wall, she felt a sense of relief. She paused at the door and looked at it closely as it lay calmly, like if it had been harmed.
There was something off about the way it was staring at Ella as she stood at the mouth of the cave. Both looked at each other thoughtfully before Ella eventually approached it. Despite her best efforts, her fear was still holding her back, so she moved very slowly. The wolf seemed unconcerned and just stared. And the tension only heightened as Ella drew nearer.
